Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Love this product on it’s own without makeup but the second I put a cream or liquid foundation on it, it pills on my skin like crazy.

I really wanted to love this sunscreen but omg it pill so horribly on my skin, an hour or so after started to pill, tried using different occasions, less product and still. Definitely not for me. I will say it does give you a nice glow as advertised.

This product goes on smoothly and affords great SPF protection, however nowhere on the label does it indicate the high shimmer finish. Because of the glittery quality, I would not use this as a daily facial SPF but I will use the rest of it as a body SPF for beach or pool days.

Pros: Nice flow to my face.Cons: Don’t like the smell, how clumpy it is and it breaks me out.

I received this product in exchange for a review. This spf does not play well with makeup. It pills horribly and ruins my morning skincare even after waiting 30+ mins for my skincare to fully soak in. Makes my makeup patchy. The texture is weird. It is not worth it, there are so many better options

SOO good!!! So I am definitely a sunscreen addict. I do tend towards a higher SPF than this- I look for SPF40+, usually. But that said, this Tula one is so amazing, I will deal with the SPF 30 because the glow it gives is insane. It’s kinda a weird texture on your fingers- like a gel with little balls in it, idk hard to describe. But as soon as it touches your face it literally melts in. Feels weightless. I have oily skin, & while this is glowy AF, it’s not at all greasy & didn’t increased my oil production. No scent to it. Absolutely no white cast at all. Works flawlessly under makeup. Is now my go-to for days when I want a more luminous look. Which is most days lately. Pic is just after a.m. skin care routine and Tula Protect & Glow.

I’m enjoying this sunscreen. Been using it for a week and it’s winter so I can’t speak to how it feels or performs in the warmer weather but I definitely feel like it gives my face good coverage. Definitely has a thick but fluffy, easy to spread texture that gives my face a subtly glow. Has a pleasant subtle scent as well! I usually put on a moisturizer after anyway. I put on 3-4 pea size amounts just on my face and ears (which is what I would do with any pricey sunscreen/lotion and use a cheaper one on my neck and other parts). I have combo skinI can’t think of any critique atm. I like it and would definitely recommend.

In love! I bought this sunscreen from Ulta after watching KatieJane Hughes use it. I am black girl magic and believed that my melanin did not need sunscreen..besides I’m allergic to sunscreen. Boy was I wrong, I have aged backwards like Benjamin Buttons and I attribute it to this. It does have an odd texture, and can appear oily but dries down nicely. It has not flaked or peeled. No breakouts and no clogged pores. Beautiful on its own or under makeup, all while protecting precious skin.

I feel bad for writing this because I was sent this product to try out in exchange for a review but this didn’t feel like a premium skincare item at all. It was thick and didn’t melt or blend well into my skin. I have medium toned skin and you could see a white layer over my whole face that looked questionable at best with makeup on top. I’m not a huge needer of sunscreen because my skin is darker and I’ve never actually experienced a sunburn, but I enjoy the protection from fine lines and that kind of thing. However this one was heavy and smelled so much like sunscreen! It doesn’t seem to add much to my skincare routine, unfortunately

✨I received this for free from Influenster and Tula in exchange for my honest review✨This sunscreen is great…if you like the dewy look. I have very oily skin, and as much as I wanted to love this-It had me looking a tad sweaty imo. The texture is a little gritty straight out of the tube, but goes on smoothly. I will say, there is absolutely zero white cast/flashback. I started using this along with my regular sunscreen as a highlight on no make up days, but it looks great under make up as well.

For a higher end solution, this sunscreen is just okay. The container is fairly small for the price point. It also has a strong sunscreen scent and is not as “invisible” as something like Supergoop. It also can appear oily on the skin. Overall, I would rank it higher than drug store sunscreens but lower than other prestige brands.

Sunscreen is a staple in my skincare routine, as a pale person living in SoCal I burn within 15 minutes of stepping outside. Chemical, mineral, natural, spray-on, lotion, stick; I’ve tried all the formulas and variations. This is the first product from Tula that I have tried, and it won’t be my last. Even though I need to wear sunscreen on a day out I always worry about my skin after, 75% of the time my face either breaks out or I still manage to get sunburned. This sunscreen is formulated without parabens, sulfates, silicon, and fragrance, all things that I have found may have been the cause of my post-sunscreen breakouts. While I do love that classic sunblock smell, not too sure I want that absorbed into my skin. Even though it’s fragrance-free I find it still has a scent, like a light spiced- pineapple smell. It has pineapple, papaya, & ginger formulated into it, so it’s nice knowing that the fragrance is natural. There is a slightly weird texture to the sunscreen, it’s almost chunky as you can see in the picture. It easily smooths out though once applied, and the shimmer creates a healthy glow. To give this product an authentic review I wanted to wear it a few times and see how it performed. So far, I have not gotten burned at all while wearing this sunscreen, and I have not broken out either. It absorbs into the skin so nicely, it doesn’t feel greasy or leave a chemically matte finish; my skin just feels like skin. My face gets a little pink after applying it, but that’s most likely just from rubbing it into my face. It doesn’t leave a white cast which is lovely too. This sunscreen lives in my purse now, I take it everywhere. Five stars!

This is not your normal sunscreen - it is a glowy face gel that not only provides SPF but also protects from pollution and blue light (making it a must have for indoors and outdoors). It doesn’t clog pores, is a non-greasy gel making it feel light and cool on the skin, it wears well under makeup or on its own and it gives your skin the dreamiest glow. This isn’t another face sunscreen with a highlighter, it is packed with probiotics to lock in moisture and protect the skin barriers, has papaya and pineapple to promote even skin tone and ginger root to protect against blue light (so essential while we are inside working from home or maybe watching a little extra TV with the kids!). It moisturizes when it needs to and just really evens out your skin. I will mention that its not overly moisturizing either because I have problems with that too. I use my regular face cream let that dry and sink in and then apply the sunscreen over my moisturizer.It also helps to reduce redness in my skin and even out my skin tone. I noticed this within a few days of using the product! My skin was less red and old scarring I had on my skin was slowly starting to minimize. It’s one of the only products that I’ve seen that works and so quickly at that!Overall, my skin feels so smooth and very supple. I feel hydrated, but not overly hydrated. This product helps my skin to know what I need throughout the day and reacts to the changing climates.

I must say I am quite pleased with this product. I’d been looking for a good sunscreen for awhile & I wasn’t sure how I’d feel with the ‘glow’ aspect of this sunscreen but it blends out beautifully on the skin & wears well under makeup! I have sensitive combination skin and I didn’t have any issues with the sunscreen breaking me out thankfully & it does have a lovely moisturizing effect. You may be a little confused when using this product for the first time because it is a bit of an odd texture at first but don’t worry, everything blends out seamlessly on the skin. I’d say if you’re looking for a good sunscreen for using under any sort of makeup go for this. If you’re using this product alone go for the less is more; the shimmer for me wasn’t overwhelming as it does blend out nicely, give it try! :)

Best of both worlds! Protect and Skincare all in one! Love this Tula Protect and glow UVA and UVB / SPF 30 Sunscreen gel! Easy application, twist off cap, the usual. I like the thick texture of the gel, it spreads well on the skin and has that classic sunscreen smell, you know what I’m talking about. It gives your skin a nice healthy shine, I liked that it wasn’t a glaring shine, it really does feel good to wear. My girl thought it made her shine too much, but I think it was in her head. But everyone is different. It’s not sticky, and your skin feels nice quickly, and later on as well. Excellent sunscreen.
