I had two samples of the gel to try and used a tiny bit on a few really small spots and it dried them out practically overnight. So I decided to try this on some cystic acne that would normally take forever to go away. It actually cleared it within a 2 weeks. I used a q-tip and rubbed the gel over the area-which tingled quite a bit. I then coated the area with Murad Acne spot treatment. I did this twice a day for 2 weeks and it looks like there was never any cystic acne. This is my NEW secret weapon for my irritating and depressing adult acne. Its really comforting to find something that works, even if its my own combination therapy.

Go to your bathroom, throw out your current on the spot acne clearing gel. This little beauty is literally magic in a bottle! (or tube if you will lol). I walked into Sephora looking for a great on the spot that would not only clear current blemishes, but stop budding ones and eliminate future ones. Well my blemish that I am currently battling shrunk in just one use. I felt a huge blemish budding on my nose so I dabbed some on and it went away in like two days! When you first use it do not be taken back by the strong smell and the slight sting. It’s just doing it’s magic! Also, I DO NOT recommend using it as an all over face treatment. Lastly, once you feel your blemish fading try not to use it as often as that will kill any fresh skin trying to grow. Overall, super obsessed!

I’m not kidding when I say I’ve repurchased this product 20 times. This stuff gets rid of pimples fast and is my holy grail for blemishes. I would recommend this to anyone with acne. I have pretty severe breakouts and this really helps them go away practically overnight. This product is a must have!!!

I don’t have full on acne, but I do have a bad habit of resting my cheek and chin on my hands, and get breakouts frequently (on occasion have been deep and cystic) despite twice per day cleansing. I put this on before my moisturizer usually, but I’ve also skipped the moisturizer on occasion. I don’t find it over-drying, and it absorbs quickly. I haven’t notice any filmy residue after applying like I have other products. I have been using it a few weeks now, and it has significantly helped with my breakouts.

After I stopped taking birth control my acne got bad, mostly with just under the skin bumps but they were very noticeable. After trying so many acne spot treatments I purchased this hesitantly as it’s a little expensive for me and you don’t get too much but I’m so glad I did! I started as a spot treatment but then decided to try and prevent acne before it started so now I apply a thin layer all over my face. Works wonders! My skin looks so much clearer and healthier. It can be drying but I just apply a good moisturizer afterwards. Will definitely purchase again !

This is strong and effective. A little goes a long way and only apply it to the problem area, not all over the face. Once a day is enough if you ask me. I put it on at night before bed and it works its magic overnight. Twice a day can be too drying. I still think using Benzoyl Peroxide on active breakouts is also necessary to kill bacteria. This is really is good for removing dead skin cells and drying up areas. This and a good benzoyl peroxide gel for active flare-ups make a great team :)

Best as spot treatment. Was once directed to use as all over serum and pat into skin in place of toner. That never worked for me, too much can clog up pores, only a small amount needed- and yes it does last, especially if you follow through with the 3 step from Clinique. This is very fast drying & I find it will dry out my skin so I will always use a moisturizer after & wash hand after applying. With moisturizer you can use daily am/pm. Works great, after 3 days notice results with breakout.

This product is one out of three steps that I use in my nightly routine. I bought this out of desperation honestly, within the last 3 years I’ve tried literally so many products. High end, drug store, medicated prescriptions and I couldn’t get my cystic acne under control. I woke up one day to my face having these crazy flare ups to where I couldn’t even touch my face. Unfortunately I was left with a lot of scaring, and was still having flare ups randomly. Within a week of using this product my face is almost completely clear! I have super sensitive skin as well and this product hasn’t irritated me at all, it can be a little drying but if you follow this with a good moisturizer it will definitely help. I’ll take a little drying over cystic acne any day! I’m still in awe over the results.

LOVE this as a spot treatment, but I can’t use it for it’s other purpose, as an all-over face treatment. This gel is awesome for whiteheads and small spots, but I haven’t found it doing much for hormonal/cystic acne. This is a great product for a person with generally good skin who only has occasional breakouts.

I have tried a lot of different spot treatment products for acne, especially hormonal acne. I’ve never used a better spot treatment product. This immediately dries up the pimple, kills the bacteria, calms redness and puffiness. Btw here’s a secret if you have tough hormonal acne... I use this combined with CBD face oil (also purchased at Sephora), don’t use at the same time!! I space them out between like hours. Usually if I have a hormonal pimple I apply this and then a few hours later apply CBD oil. I do this multiple times throughout the day and the cystic pimple usually is gone within DAYS. Usually cystic hormonal acne usually lasted 2-3 weeks for ONE PIMPLE to go away. So yes...this is a miracle. I don’t know what makes it work so well, but the formula is amazing and nothing is like it. Highly recommend.

I have extremely sensitive, very fair, acne-prone skin. I tried a sample size first (which I would recommended if you have sensitive skin too - try a small size to make sure your skin agrees with it before spending money on the larger size) it works really well to dry out active acne but be careful about putting it on any open acne sores - it will sting VERY BAD. also be careful about using too much. A little bit goes a VERY long way and using too much in some areas caused me to develop some dry patchy spots around my nose. It works really quickly. I usually put it on at night and wash it off in the morning because it leaves a sort of sticky film on top of your skin so it isn’t comfortable to wearing during the day. In the morning, I usually notice the redness and swelling reduced right away.

I have wicked acne prone skin, and was on the verge of a painful breakout---this stuff just shut, it, down. Amazing product. Dries the skin (even on someone with oily skin like mine) so be sure to properly moisturize after!

I would get this tattooed on my left breast to show my ride or die energy for this product.I am 27 and have been extremely acne-prone since puberty. Not cystic, but day to day hormonal, ’perpetually having some acne’ type. I have gone through it all, even astringents back in the 00s. Now, I am obsessed with skincare down to 12-page spreadsheets of reviews. No foundation needed anymore! I was certain I could find a decent dupe for this product in a reasonable size. Tried Mario Badescu spot treatments? Nah. Too much alcohol, and burns. Salicylic acid exists with the Ordinary, no? NO. I rarely expand beyond The Ordinary unless it is a face mask or eye-cream. This remains my biggest exception and I was a fool for not having tried it earlier. As with all products, this is part of a routine not some miracle on its own. With my routine, this has stopped new breakouts and helped with miniatures (resolved in a day or two most), so my skin remains clear. Should be used in conjunction with other products, water/diet, consistent* face washing, clean pillow cases, and so on. Basic stuff, but merits reiteration.In summary: Extremely effective. Little-to-no smell, no burn. Goes on clear so easily worn under makeup and in day, unlike some counterparts. Dries in seconds, so pick a small spot and move quickly. Don’t need much product, so the small scale lasts a long time. Barely made a dent in the product (extrapolating, I anticipate a year or more of use?). Good stuff.

This gel is amazing! Clears my cystic pimples that I get before my cycle, and helps with blemishes. I have oily skin that was acne prone in my teens and I get a cystic pimple here and there. This month I went through a horrible breakout for about three weeks and this was the only product that worked.
