I received the Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème complimentary for sampling purposes but all opinions are my own. I wanted to test this moisturizer out long enough before giving my opinion, I received it on 4/6 and I am now leaving my review on 4/18, I figured 12 days is a long enough timeframe where if the moisturizer was going to negatively affect my skin it would have by now. Let me explain my skin type, I am early 20s and I have oily, acne prone, porous skin. Often if I use a cream based product It will build up and I will develop white heads, since the start of using the C-Rush Brightening moisturizer I have not had that issue which is extremely exciting for me! I use the moisturizer every morning before doing my makeup, and I’ve come to the conclusion this product is the reason why my makeup has been looking amazing lately. I wear makeup for about 8-9 hours a day and I no longer notice my skin getting oily or my makeup becoming cakey, settling in fine lines, or breaking up throughout the day. Also this moisturizer smells absolutely amazing, nothing overpowering so if you are sensitive to scents I believe you would still be fine using it. Testing out this moisturizer has made me very intrigued to try out the rest of Ole Henriksen’s “Truth“ collection (their vitamin c based line) and I am hopeful that the moisturizer will positively impact my skin in the long run, overall I am a huge fan!

My new holy grail!!!! Let’s start off by how amazing this cream smells! My skin is really dry and have always used ponds lotion for dry skin but after trying this one am switching love that it doesn’t make my face oily I can use with my regular foundation and love the glow effect on my skin afterwards. Another thing I freaky like is that with just a little bit of product it goes a long way.

I ordered this from the Ole Henriksen website because I couldn’t wait! I am always looking for the perfect moisturizer under makeup, and I haven’t had great luck. Many of them tend to pill up or lessen wear time. This one is fantastic under makeup, and I have tried it under 5 different foundations so far. It feels deeply hydrating but is not heavy at all. Sinks in quickly and ACTUALLY color corrects in a noticeable way. This is a makeup lover’s best friend, but is even great on its own. I can see this working on most skin types. If you are very oily and it is your main concern, stick with Ole’s Counter Balance Hydrator. If you love Nurture Me already, you will LOVE C-Rush. It even smells lightly of orange creamsicles!!

It provides deep moisture while being lightweight. Love the like orange scent that isn’t obnoxious and fades quickly. Makes my skin just glow. After years of dealing with acne and going through a round of accutane. I finally have a more normal to slightly oily skim type. It definitely provides the moisture without the grease. It already has helped with the texture and tone of my skin, and have only been using it a few days. Worth the price. Looks amazing under makeup.

Wow! I’ve tried so many skin brightening products and they’ve never shown the results that this product does! I can literally see my dark spots lifting and couldn’t be happier.It ACTUALLY works and smells incredible! I apply this evenly to my face after my routine night shower.

Honestly the best moisturizer I have ever used in my life! This will be my third repurchase! I am obsessed! It works best if you use it as a night cream instead of using it in the morning.

First off, let me start by saying that it’s extremely rare for me to find a moisturizer that I’m GENUINELY satisfied with. I have combination skin that does entirely what it wants to when the winter air rolls around (and we have very long winters here). My go-to product for years has been the Clinique “Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel“, which I love, but it isn’t enough to bring my skin back to life when the air is this dry. Initially, I was drawn in by the fact that this is labeled a “gel crème“ -- seemed to be exactly what I was looking for -- but came to learn that Vitamin C is essentially magic when it comes to giving you a bright, youthful glow! After just a few days of trying it out, I had to go and get the full-size. I was really excited to try this, sadly this was too tacky for me. I read all the reviews and used just a small amount, but by the end of the day my face was tacky and shiny. Had to return. It may be great for people with extremely dry skin though.

Oh.my.god. Holy grail. Buy this now.I was kind of sorta convinced to try this by the YouTuber iluvsarahii. I am always skeptical with youtubers because they could be sponsored and exaggerate the effects of products-But she was 100% right about this product ..I have oily skin and blackheads have a fiesta on my cheeks forehead and chin with dry under eyes and dry nose , and as soon as I put this on my skin glowed immediately and my pores looked refined . I still tried to dislike it when I first put in on telling myself it was in my head(so I had a reason to return it and have more of a reason to never be convinced by youtuber again and save money lol) , but after i applied my foundation , I could literally see a youthful glow peeking through. My skin feels hydrated,healthy and NOT greasy !!! That is huge for me because I have spent ridiculous amount of money on moisturizers and creams and was at the verge of losing hope and giving up. I will never stop using this product .

« Great for Dark Circles and Hyperpigmentation »

I just re-ordered my second pot of this because it’s the answer to my skin prayers. I’m fair-skinned, and as I’ve been creeping toward 30, my skin is changing. My dark circles are more stubborn, and any acne flare-up leaves behind a dark spot. The C-Rush is, in my opinion, better than the Banana Bright Eye Creme and gentle enough to use around the eyes in the same way. I use it on top of Glossier’s Super Bright serum, and it’s kept my skin bright and even. The dark circles are noticeably lighter and easier to cover using a light concealer, and my hormonal acne no longer leaves behind such dark spots (and if it does, they lighten much quicker). I’ve been getting some really great compliments on my complexion, and I owe it to C-Rush.

Loving this skin care product! The refreshing citrus scent is a perfect wake up call every morning. My normally oily skin loves the thick and cremey formula and I have seen a decrease in oil production. Would recommend!

« Maybe Not For Everyone (Especially Not My Cat) »

I bought this product after a rigorous acne care routine left my skin dry and aching for hydration. I will say that it worked well at first. The hydration this delivers is unreal. My skin felt quenched, plump, bouncy, and brightened. It delivered everything that it advertised, and the some. The glow was real for a while.Now I don’t remember seeing this as being advertised as being non-comedogenic so that one is probably on me, but it did exacerbate my breakouts. The smell of this is not unpleasant but it was definitely strong. So strong that my cat would recoil if I came near him and ran away from me every time I put it on. Heart breaking. I had to stop using it.I bet this works well for people who don’t have sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, or cats that hate the smell of citrus.

I received the C-rush brightening gel creme for free to review but this opinion is my own. I have combo oily skin and tend to break out on my cheeks and chin. Finding something that hydrated but isn’t too heavy or greasy feeling on my skin is a challenge. I was hesitant at first because my skin isn’t dry but I do have hyper pigmentation so I loved the idea of something brightening. This product is my favorite moisturizer I have ever used. My skin feels smoother and looks more supple. I don’t get greasy and my makeup wears amazingly well. I have noticed even my pores look smaller! I love this product!
