HONEST REVIEW. I am not a blogger, you tuber or insider so this will be a very honest view. I have Lupus and if anyone that has Lupus will know practically nothing works for us. I have spent thousands of dollars on creams, toners and serums for multiple reasons such as firming, lightening sun spots and for aging. I love Glamglow and Olehenriksen but as I get older not as effective. I got this as a sample and was I surprised. One use and you could see a complete transformation in my skin. My face looked years younger. It softened up my puffiness.under my eyes, my face looked tighter and my face was glowing. It looked like I just got back from an expensive facial. I would highly recommend this product to anyone over the age of 40. I actually purchased a full size right after I tried it out. You will not be disappointed

I admit, I have fallen head over heels with Algenist in the past year or so, but this is like nothing I have ever put on my face. The packaging is genius, you just push down on a button on the top and withdraw a glass vial with a very tiny opening that you control with the top button. I know that sounds like every dropper bottle but it’s different, you have to see it. This bottle will last months and months because you use almost no product.The product itself is the lightest weight of all the face oils that have crowded the shelves in the past couple of years. You use 2 or 3 drops (pay attention when you push on the plunger, this oil is lighter than water) and smooth it all over your face (I use it under my eyes but I don’t know if it’s been tested for that.). I just want to keep smoothing my hands over my face because it feels so silky. I put another 2 drops on my neck and chest and 1 for my hands. My face looks smoother and it is definitely giving me an inner “glow“. Beyond that it’s hard for me to attribute what this product is responsible for and what is from the Retinol Firming and Lifting serum. All I can tell you is I won’t be without either of them. This is a product that shows you some instant results, so if you can get to the store with a clean face you’ll be able to feel the silkiness and “glow“ I was talking about. One last thing, do not over use this, as in the philosophy, if a little is good more would be better. You’d just be wasting your money and you wouldn’t get that original feeling I described earlier. I speak from experience because I didn’t believe that such a tiny amount of product could possibly make a difference or cover my entire face, it does.

I was lucky enough to be able to test this product before it hit the market. I got it in April and just now (August) ran out. Prior to using this I was having major issues with my skin. The T- Zone was super oily and the rest of my skin was super dry and flakey. I had the worst of both worlds. The flakes would not go away no matter what. I tried different exfoliating products, all kinds of moisturizers and nothing worked. When I had the opportunity to test this product I was concerned about putting oil on my skin. I thought it might cause a break out or make my T-Zone even more oily. Not only did it not break my skin out, but the oil absorbs right into my skin leaving no residue behind. The flakes have completely disappeared and my skin feels super smooth. The best part is that it doesn’t feel heavy like some moisturizers that cause your skin to feel almost “wet“ or like your face is constantly sweating. For the first time in my life I have gotten complements on my bare skin. One person even said that my skin looked like it was “glowing“. When I finished the bottle I thought I’d just go back to regular moisturizers as I still have a ton left and this is a bit out of my price range, but I tried for a few days and I just can’t. My skin does not feel the same without it.

I am 60 and through the years have used & tried dozens of anti aging creams & serums on the market. None have come close to the immediate results I have had with this oil. This was a sample I received with a purchase from Sephora. Within two - three days of using the oil at bedtime, the deep lines around my eyes, mouth and on my forehead appear faded, much more subtile, and my skin is softer, clearer, and plumper. The lines on my neck are softening and not as deep, also. No irritation or redness that my fair, sensitive skin usually gets with botanical creams and plant based skin products. I still can’t believe my eyes. I am amazed at how my skin responded so quickly to this oil. Will definitely purchase more of this product.

Yet another incredible product from Algenist. I believe Algenist is truly one of the top skincare lines on the market.I’m a fan of oils and when it comes to them packaging is key and here Algenist has done it perfectly. There is no mess, runoff, or uncontrolled drip. The pipette is very fine and the plunger gives you amazing control over how much oil you wish to dispense. My problem with other oils is that the pipette always leaks or you can never get the right amount out.The oil doesn’t have much of a smell and is incredibly light weight. The lightest oil I’ve used so far. The fastest absorbing oil I’ve used so far and just like most oils, gives you an instant glow. I suppose I’m writing my review prematurely since I can’t speak to my long term results since I haven’t been using it long enough.It’s now one of my favorite oils along with Ole and Kate.But if you’re reading this review because you’re considering purchasing from the line do it! It’s one of the most advanced skincare lines with amazing results. I know the pore serum and gel moisturizer are my next purchases!

I got this as a 100 point bonus. I’ve been using it for about two months and find it to be excellent. Minimal fragrance, quick to absorb, leaves skin feeling soft and supple, lines and wrinkles minimized, pores look smaller, skin looks firmer and brighter.My husband and I were having dinner in a restaurant. He said, “In this light, your skin looks really young“. OK, so he didn’t need to add the “in this light“ part, but considering that he has NEVER EVER before, in 43 years, made ANY comment whatsoever on my skin or make-up, I think that’s a pretty good recommendation for this product.What’s not to love? Perhaps the price, but as Caroline Hirons says, if you’re willing to plunk down a C-note for a handbag, then $80 for your face is not bad.

I bought a bottle of this after receiving a sample and seeing an immediate improvement in my skin. I have combination skin and the texture of the skin on my face used to vary quite a bit- chin and forehead were dry, but breakout prone, cheeks were fine and my nose was a forest of oil, pores and breakouts. The sample amount normalized my skin in a day. After that, because I live in Boston and it’s been frigid this winter, I came down with a head cold. Normally, all of that sneezing and kleenex-rubbing leaves a nasty red burn on my nose and just above my lip. I worried about using the oil on what was now very painful skin. This oil repaired that skin in a few hours. I had that cold for a week, but traces of my nasal misery were long gone. Same thing for what became the very dry top of my nose and forehead from going outside in the cold- completely repaired with 3 drops of this oil. I had bad experiences with other facial oils in the past, but this is so light and so restorative I can’t imagine my skin care routine without it. I even put some on my husband once (while he made the “I have no idea what you’re doing to me“ face) and the fine lines around his eyes softened. He used the two drops of oil I had on my hand once!

OMG!!! My favorite oil by far!!! It’s not greasy & globby. You can feel it penetrate into the skin. It gives you such a glow w.out being heavy. My dad loves it too. So girl/guy it’s perfect for. You will die over it!!

I ordered this product from another source and had it on waitlist for several weeks. I finally received it last week and have been using it every night. It is very soothing and goes right in to the skin. I love to rub the residue product into my hands and work it into my cuticles. I love Algenist and keep hoping they will come out with a color cosmetic line soon!

I have only used this product for 10 days or so but I am pleased with the results so far. I have used the complete Algenist line for 4 months now and can honestly say that it has made a HUGE difference. The “marionette“ lines around my mouth are at least 50% reduced-give this line a try-you won’t be sorry!

Can’t live without it. I have very dry sensitive skin. This is the first facial oil that haven’t made me break out. I warm 4-5 drops in my palms and pat on after my toner and before my Clinique DDML+. It adds moisture w/o felling heavy and just makes you glow. Love the packaging, the little window shows how much you have left and the dropper lets you control how much to use. I can see it lasting forever. I’ve used 4-5 drops every morning & night for almost 2 months and it’s barely made a dent.

I’ve tried several face oils over the past three years. Don’t believe me? I’ve gone through two full size bottles of the original Josie Maran argan oil; 0.5 ounce sizes of JM’s light argan oil, Boscia’s Tsubaki oil, Tarte’s Maracuja oil, Ole Henricksen’s Vitamin C oil, Fresh’s seaberry oil, Nude Skincare’s oil, and finally two big trial sizes of this oil from Algenist. Mind you, I’m likely going to try out other oils from Caudalie and Marula among others in the near future.With all this said, I have to say this oil by Algenist has impressed me the most by moisturizing my skin very well while not leaving an oily residue. The oil sinks into my skin, leaving it supple. With other oils, once they’ve sunk in, I wonder if they’re actually moisturizing my skin or if they’ve simply evaporated because I can’t really feel or see that my skin is supple.Given everyone’s skin is different, I won’t make any claim that this is arguably the best oil one can buy in the market, but I’m really happy I gave this one a try and used it for long enough to see that it’s a great addition to my skin care regimen. My sister was extra generous with her Christmas gift to me and bought me a full-size bottle, which I’ve been using nightly. I cleanse, apply a serum, then this oil, followed by a moisturizer. Sometimes, I forgo the moisturizer and simply let this oil seal in my serum and I’m good for the night. I wake up to clear, supple, and refreshed skin.

I’m surprised and thrilled to have found this product. I wasnt interested in oils since I have a host of menopausal skin problems - too many to describe :( - and an oil didn’t seem like the intuitively right treatment. But my skin has responded so well and so quickly to a once a day application of this amazing light oil. Fine lines, pores, skin tone, dryness all improved and continue to get even better and there’s just an overall much more healthy youthful look and feel to my skin. My teenage daughter commented on how great my skin looked after less than a week using this product and she had no idea I was doing anything new (and she’s never remarked on my appearance before lol!). Reading other reviews, I’m tempted to get some more of this oil for my daughters who suffer from acne and dryness. This is a keeper. The Paula’s Choice review of this Algenist Repairing Oil is so uninformed and and off-base that I’m done with Paula’s Choice but am a new loyal Algenist customer.

I love this anti-aging oil. This is my second bottle of this repairing oil and I will definitely purchase again. This oil soaks into your skin quickly and has a very pleasant scent. I apply it at night and in the morning before applying my make-up. My skin looks firmer and has a glow after applying. I’ve tried several other oils (Bioessance, YTTP, Sunday Riley, etc) and this is still my absolute favorite.
