I was looking for something matte to mix with my cc cream for the summer when I start to get a bit of colour on my ghostly white self. There is absolutely no shimmer and dries to a matte finish so it’s perfect for all over the face to make a lighter foundation work for the summer. It’s a beautiful bronze colour, not orange at all. You definitely have to mix it with something (i.e. a liquid base) like the instructions say and you have to work fast as it sets quickly but it blends very well before it sets.

If you’re looking for a product to replace Bonne Bell’s Bronzing Gel, look no further. Clinique’s Sun-Kissed Face Gelee goes on nice and light, with no sticky feeling like some other ‘bronzers’ I’ve tried before. The color is a bit redder, and more concentrated than the Bonne Bell product, so a very little goes a long way. It stays put all day, giving the complexion a healthy glow without being too shiny or sparkly. You can use it all over, or just on cheeks but I prefer the all-over look with a bit of blush. Just don’t use too much and be sure to blend it down the neck. I also use a bit on my décolletage for that sun-kissed look with none of the damaging effects of the sun.

I am an exfoliating queen! And while it’s great for the health & radiance of the skin on my face, it does ensure the tone of the skin on my body vs my face doesn’t match. But I also don’t want to fake tan my face. So what I needed was a product that would darken my foundation enough to match my face to my body and wash off completely at the end of the day. This product does just that! The color is beautifully bronzed and never orange - my face looks like I’m sunning year round. A little goes a long away so the tube will surely last 5-6 months. I like the control I get much better with it being a gel as opposed to a liquid. Doesn’t alter the finish of the foundations/concealers I use. You’ve got to blend quickly before it sets. I suggest dotting foundation on your face & then adding a small dot of this gelee on your blending brush and working in sections to blend your foundation out on your face. Then if you like the look of beauty (sponge) blended foundation to go back over with the blender because the brush just mixes it with the foundation much more easily. But hey, it’s just make up so you do you! Just a tip on what’s worked well for me :)

Basically just mix it with the foundation you already have. Makes contouring super seamless and perfect if you’ve gotten a tan. Or if you’re a good like me and bought a foundation about 3 shades too light and is too lazy to return it...

A makeup must have. I’ve worn this stuff for years. This bronzer deserves an Allure best of. I’m pasty white and need all the boost of color I can get. What I love is this bronzer has zero glitter, oil/fragrance free and is goof proof. I mix it with my foundation and/or dab it on my cheeks on top of foundation. Either way it melts into your skin.Never streaky of orange. It looks scary when it comes out of the toon but I promise you it goes on sheer and is easy to build up the right amount of bronze.

Not only do I sometimes mix this with my foundation, but I also use it as a subtle eyeliner...I line my top lashes and dot the bottom ones. I also apply to my lips to add a little color and sometimes even add some extra freckles!!! It lasts all day!! Use the staining properties of this product to your benefit! And it does wash off with my regular facial cleanser.

This product is SO lovely-- it does what it says, gives a natural (NOT ORANGE) sunkissed look. I use a few drops (depending on desired intensity) in my moisturizing gel and it gives such a beautiful tint! It is not oily (I have oily skin), absorbs into the skin and sets nicely. Get this ladies, and always look fresh and sunkissed! I get so many compliments when I wear this product!

I’ve been looking for something to make my complexion a tad darker and powdered bronzer was just not doing it for me. I mixed this with my regular foundation (make up forever HD) and applied to face and neck and it looks so great. I love the glow it gives my face. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Reminds me of Bonnie Bell bronzing gel! Subtle tint. Wash your hands quickly after application.

I have really dry skin and my face is so pale during the winter. I wanted something to just warm up my complexion some but too many bronzing powders on dry skin is a bad idea!!! This looks so natural! Not orange at all. I mix it with my YSL foundation for just the right amount of color. I don’t even know I am wearing it, until on occasion I forget and think - why does my face look so pale- and then I remember I didn’t use this magical ingredient! I highly recommend, especially if you need a little warmth but have dry skin!

Ok, so thank youuuu to the reviewer who said to think outside of the box with this product! I use it as she does, as a super natural eyeliner, to darken my freckles, its the perfect shade! No shimmer, doesn’t break me out, sets very fast, lasts all day

« Triggers sensitive skin/rosacea »

I’ve been struggling with papulopustular rosacea for a few years now which leaves me with very sensitive skin to beauty/makeup products. My skin doesn’t do well with oil based products. I mixed this with my everyday Nars Sheer Glow Foundation (oil free) and within a few hours my skin was breaking out and triggered a flare up. I thought this may be a good alternative to get that sunny glow but it does worse things to my skin than sunbathing ever would. The colour was nice and natural, but I’m afraid to try it again on my sensitive skin.

I was looking for a product that I could mix in with my current foundation or bb cream that would adjust the shade. Based on reviews I decided to order this. It has NOT worked the way it was described it would. By itself it spreads on the face very uneven and blotchy...will make your skin look dirty. Mixed in- not much better. It changes the consistency of your foundation and makes it impossible to apply evenly. Also, out of the tube the color looks dark, however when applied on the skin it delivers very little to non color.

Great option for a “no makeup look“ on its own, or mixed with a face moisturizer. Has a nice tone not orange at all. Also nice when mixed with foundation for a more bronzed look. My only complaint would be that if you are applying it with your hands, it will quickly absorb, so you have to apply very quickly or you will stain your hands.

I bought this product to replace the Bareminerals serum bronzer that was discontinued. It works great to give a glowy natural tan look, but without the glittery shimmer I always try to avoid. I rub some on my cheeks over my makeup and it looks like I’ve been in the sun. A little seems to go a long way for me as I’ve had this tube for a long time. Easy to layer for a darker look. I love the finished glowy tan look I get that lasts all day.
