Awaken Peptide Depuffing Eye Gel

I usually don’t write reviews on products, but I had to literally go out of my way and make sure this product gets reviewed and the truth is told. This is literally the WORST product I have ever purchased in my life. Not only does it completely shed and make a complete mess on your face and leave an immense amount of residue, the product literally peels all over your face, and it does not work at all. This product has created such a mess all over my face. I would not recommend this product in any way shape and form. It is literally awful!!!! Please save your money, and don’t waste your time or money on this product. I am beyond disappointed.

This caused many, many miliea under my eyes overnight in just one use (my first use). Save yourself some heartbreak and DO NOT BUY. (No stars, but I had to use one in order for the review to be accepted.!)

I was very eager to buy this product when I saw the 5 star review but after reading a lot of the reviews and finding out every single reviewer was gifted this product by dermalogica, now I’m very skeptical how honest these reviews are.

This products had such great reviews, so I gave it a try. Can’t believe in the reviews. It was a big disappointment. It just flakes and did not depuff at all.

I’ve always been very skeptical about eye creams that claim to reduce puffiness but this one has been a pleasant surprise. The tube is pretty small but you only need so little. The gel is very lightweight and gets absorbed quickly. It has a very nice cooling sensation. My eyelids are puffy in the morning sometimes, some days more than others, but this get definitely decreases puffiness within 20 mins or so. It works better than any other depuffing gel I’ve ever used. It also keeps my skin around the eyes hydrated and firm.

I was not impressed by this eye gel it flakes after drying. I use all Dermalogica products but this is over rated. I will be returning it.

« works for periodic puffiness »

Really works! when I wake up with puffy eyes or after crying, I use this and it actually depuffs within minutes. It’s not claiming to be anti aging or anything else so for what it is I’m happy. The one down side for me is that it pulls heavily under makeup. So if I’m using it in the morning I’d have to wash it off after it does it’s job before applying makeup. While that is a bummer I still felt it was 5 stars bc I’ve tried so many different eye products and most are useless. This one really delivers. If you have actually genetic or structural puffiness or sagging skin i don’t think this is the product for you.

« Not worth the hype »

This is the first time I have given a product 1 star. The reviews were rated so well I thought why not. Firstly- I saw absolutely no difference from applying this product. Second- it wasn’t even remotely hydrating thirdly- for the price the tube is so tiny. Not much product, which would be forgivable if it actually worked.

This product was gifted to me by Dermalogica, however my review is honest and based on my experience using the product. I just finished one of my favorite eye creams and this eye gel came in very handy. Love the texture of this eye gel - lightweight and goes into your skin right away. You can feel a nice cooling effect - tip - keep in in your fridge. A little bit goes a long way. This eye gel is very hydrating and depuffs like no other. I have been using it both at night time and love waking up with a more hydrated, firmer under eye area that is depuffed and radiant, as well as in the morning time without any problems, it does goes well with makeup. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth it.

Gifted by Dermalogica. Before use my eye area is puffy and dry but after using the eye gel by under eye instantly feels more moisturized! I definitely noticed decreased puffiness after a few uses. Overall my eye area became smoother and firmer! I love the applicator too, makes for easy application!

The texture of this eye gel is perfectly lightweight and feels slightly cooling. It absorbs fairly quickly into the skin. And it definitely does de-puff. After using morning and night for 10 days I noticed my right eye had some little bumps under it. I stopped using for two days and they went away. I now use this eye gel every other morning with no issues. But maybe it’s a bit strong for sensitive skin. I love the cool refreshing feeling it gives my eyes on early work mornings. No results and very pricey. I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately I never noticed any difference in morning eye puff after applying. I also found that it pilled a bit when I applied spf.

This product was gifted by Dermalogica to test, honest opinions are my own.I love the Dermalogica line, full of tried and true effective products that address my needs as a 40+ year old with combo skin. The Awaken Peptide Depuffing Eye Gel is another stand out product I am happy to add to my routine. At $50+, yes I agree this is pricey but because it indeed awakens my eyes — I think it’s worth it! A little goes a long ways. I can instantly feel the gentle sensation of the caffeine, rosemary extract and peptides waking up and firming the skin around my eyes. The smallest squeeze of product provides enough coverage for under eye and around orbital bone. I love how this oil free eye gel sits wonderfully under my makeup. Makeup applies unbelievably well (hello eyeliner!) even when I don’t use primer. A definite winner from me!

« miracle in a tube »

I have dry sensitive skin and I suffer from allergies, so overtime I had damage my skin around my eyes from rubbing it too much. This eye gel does not irritate my skin and started repairing my skin. It got rid of the dark circles under my eyes and drastically minimized the puffiness. I’m so happy I got to try this eye gel gifted by Dermalogica and quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. I recommend this eye cream gel.

Great stuff. Not as depuffing as I’d hope and it doesn’t do much for brightening the under eye area, but overall helps to keep me looking awake even when I’m tired or got little sleep.
