I had this applied during a custom makeover and I loved how it felt. Right out the bottle it felt greasy so I was worried. But then it dried down to a Matte. I love it so much when I looked at my skin I said how much!!! Then she said $48.00 and I said oh no can I get a sample.. lol but I will be back for the bottle! It did keep my foundation (Lancome) in place and my oil down.

I LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER!!! I keep nice and matte throughout the day. I used to get oily a couple hours into the day but not anymore. I also love how it works to clean my pores. I love the texture and how it goes great under makeup and won’t ball up. I will keep using this again and again!

Amazing. I can never find a primer type product that controls oiliness and doesn’t cause me to break out. My T zone has never looked better. I wish this lasted longer than 8 hours though. It’s definitely become one of my holy grails, I use it everyday. I use to have the oiliest skin around my nose, causing pimples, but ever since using this I’ve had zero breakouts. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks! I have sensitive skin as well, so happy I found this!!!!

I wish it worked. I put it on one side of my nose and cheeks to see the difference from my other side without product but there was none. Most of these 5 stars are from being gifted by this brand and obviously they will give good ratings to receive more free products.

I love Dr. Brandt’s Mattifying Hydrator Pore Minimizing Gel. I’m Greek so naturally have oily skin and live in Florida which doesn’t help. This product is wonderful. It’s lightweight, leaves a natural look (not overly dry). I wear it alone, with the Pore Minimizer Primer or with a little makeup. Worth the price for sure. You don’t need to use a ton of it as a little goes a long way! I wish I found this years ago!

Does what it should. Maybe a little overpriced. Love this brand and their products. But why I’m giving only 3 stars instead of 5 — for being so expensive, the bottle’s blue paint and gold writing shouldn’t come off on your hands. Makes for a very annoying experience every time you want to use the product. :|

Received complimentary from Dr. Brandt. Skincare for a honest review! I have a combination skin and oily on my t-zone. This mattifying gel is very easy to use. My skin felt very soft after use. My favorite way to use it is before applying makeup. It helps it from having oily look.

« The holy grail!!! »

The holy grail! Ladies I love this! I use it before my primer and my makeup lasts for hours! Legit did my makeup yesterday morning then went to breakfast with friends got on a plane and wore a mask over half my face got home ran errands and then took a selfie that night skin was still flawless!!! Trust meeeee! It’s pricey but it works! I recommend pairing it with the smash box oil control primer!!!!

I got this because I have very large pores and this DID work and also helped with my blemishes, however, I looked at the ingredients and notice it had denatured alcohol in it! Which is not a very good thing for your skin! It was effective short term but I stopped using because I was worried how my face would look in the long term with it since it has an alcohol that is very stripping to the skin and could cause skin problems in the long term

I have oily skin and also live in Miami where it’s very hot and humid. Have been wearing this primer for about a month and it’s amazing. I don’t have large pores but it smooths out my face and keeps me matte without looking dry

This stuff really works. I consistently had very tiny blkheads developing on my face. I use this and reduction of 95%. Doesnt dry out my skin either.

The only reason I withheld a star is because the product isn’t as effective if you apply it to skin with any type of lingering moisture - whether it’s your toner, your serums, residual water from cleansing, or sweat from heat styling your hair. Otherwise, this is the best daytime moisturizer I’ve used in quite some time. Before taking a blind leap of faith on this product, I avoided anything that has the word “gel” or “matte” in its name thinking the product would be too occlusive and cause breakouts. Clearly, I was wrong.
