« YASSSSS!!! »
I am an at-home mask girl and HydraFacial girl. I have been on the hunt for my at-home masks and have finally found the one! I also go get professional HydraFacials done and see instant results..dark circles gone, plumped up skin, lines filled out, dark circles gone and instant, lasting hydration. This mask is an at home hydrafacial! I swear. I use it on my husband also and the results are so similar to my real HydraFacial...of course without the extractions and stuff. This mask drives whatever product you are using deep into your skin and infuses it. I was lucky enough to get an in-store treatment and the Dennis Gross rep instructed me and gave me some tips on the best way to use it. I’ve already done it at home and it’s the business! I am 30 and have pretty good skin. I have some dark circles and blackheads on my nose are my biggest concern. I’m dry in the winter and in the summer, my t-zone gets a little oily. Sometimes I break out but infrequently. I use masks and products on my face as preventative maintenance, to keep my skin hydrated and to smooth out any fine lines. I already use the Dennis Gross Original Strength Peel Pads and love them. The rep advised to exfoliate first, use the peel pads, then put on your favorite serum, eye treatment and lip treatment. Then mix up the mask, put it on and you can even cover your lips so they can get in on the fun. Once you remove the mask, do a spritz with your fav mist and moisturize with your regular cream/oil/etc. The results are awesome. I really can feel the actual product hydrating my skin for like 12 hours afterwards. My skin is plump, bright, super hydrated and glowing. I even felt so good, I went out without any makeup on and just the aftermath of the mask. A few suggestions. 1. Be sure to use one pack **JUST** for your face. If you wanna do your neck and hands, that’s a whole separate mask. If you use the whole packet on your face and layer it well, the mask will come off in one go. If you get some pieces here or there, it comes right off with a little water on a cotton ball. 2. For sure use a serum before masking and moisturizer after. It makes a huge difference. 3. It’s totally gentle and can be left on for longer. I do 20-30 minutes at a time. This mask has a cooling effect, like menthol on your skin. It’s super relaxing. If you’re looking for deep hydration and glowing skin, give it a shot. And for 4 treatments for $45, it’s totally reasonable. Happy Masking!
« Overpriced and gimmicky »
This is not a bad mask but it is certainly overpriced for what it is. The smell of the mask is quite pleasant (actually smells like the ocean) but it is quite difficult to actually place on your face. It’s easy enough to mix the two pouches together to create the mask itself but the applicator makes it difficult to apply evenly all over your face. The mask peels off easy enough and any bits that are left over wash away easily. My skin felt hydrated and awake but it wasn’t the deep hydration I was looking for. I think for the most part, this mask is gimmicky. I’m going to use the one pack I have left and then save my money for a good moisturizer.
« Good scent, difficult application. »
First time trying the mask, and liked the good reviews. When I used it, I followed the instructions like printed on the packaging and in the instructional video. For some reason it did not spread evenly onto my face after mixing, nor did the powder step 2 make the mask lumpy, but it caused it to turn green, harden and fall off in chunks when I tried to remove it. Unlike what the instructions implied. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or if I mixed it too much. My skin feels soft, but I wanted this mask to really make a difference for my dry skin. I have left over packets so I’ll continue to use them. But this first experience was a dud.
« not worth the money »
I was looking for a really good mask to keep my skin glowy, and to help my dry areas around my chin. This did not do the trick. I followed the instructions and everything used it for 2 weeks and I did not even see a slight change in my skin.
« YASSS »
I am a self proclaimed spa junkie. This mask is better than treatments I’ve spent over 100 on! How I did it: step 1 Josie Maran exfoliating oil wash step two clay mask step 3 Dr. Denese serum Grand Finale this mask. I am telling you my skin was having a terrible day and my mom offered this when I was at an emotional breaking point. This litterally saved me and I was not afraid to face my important weekend. I have horrible adult acne and large pores. My pores were visibily smaller. My cystic acne was noticeably less inflamed. I have a glow. Most of all I’m not hiding from my boyfriend. I feel like I can face today. Definitely recommend it for pre wedding or prom or any photo of.
« very hydrating »
I really enjoyed this mask. The package states that it sets quickly, so I knew to go to work immediately. There was enough mixture in one mask mix for both my boyfriend and me, so in a way, it’s 8 masks. I have yet to see if the gel will keep in an airtight bag so that I can use half of the mix at a time. Or I can just force my bf to mask with me every time. It’s hard to wipe it on elegantly; it will always be clumpy and not smooth like a gel or clay mask. Once it sets on your face, it stays feeling wet on your skin and is gelatinous, although dry, from the outside. The texture is really interesting. After peeling it off, which is fun, my skin felt and looked hydrated and supple. On my bf, I had just done the Kate Somerville 2-minute Exfolikate mask, followed by a Caudalie detox clay mask, then this hydrating mask, and from the 3 steps his skin looked much smoother, brighter and plumper. He had trouble with the 15 minutes this mask suggests, but it should be fine for anyone who is used to masking. I slept in Sunday Riley Luna sleeping oil while my bf got the Korres Wild Rose Brightening sleeping facial, and our faces looked as bright and nourished as they did immediately post-mask. I highly recommend it for anyone who is averse to thick cream hydrating masks (like myself) but still wants a major boost.
I was really looking forward to trying this based on the reviews. However I was terribly disappointed! I followed the directions exactly as stated however the mixture turned green and lumpy and was difficult to apply. I tried a second package and got the same result. What a waste of money.
I have tried an ABSURD amount of face masks; sheet masks, cellulose, rubber, high end, cheaper YOU NAME IT. As much as I have found ones I love, I’ve never had a mask I love this much. I suffer from dry skin / rosacea and between using this mask bi-weekly and a cocktail of other products my skin has NEVER been better! I love the cooling effect this has, and how much it really soothes my skin. 5 stars, absolutely love!
« Immediate Plumped and Moisturized Skin »
I’ve only used this once and the results were immediate! My face felt plumped, bright and moisturized! I kept the mask on longer than suggested however it still felt wet. I also had a burn on my neck from a chemical peel from a two months ago and I lathered the mask on top of it and it helped soothe my burn. One downside I disliked about the mask is that it settles fairly quickly when you pour in the activator and if you try to go over parts of the mask that you’ve already had on your face it will clump up and break apart.
« easy, fun, and works! »
Some people are saying its hard to get an even layer, which can be true but it doesn’t matter if its even. You just glop it on thick! It really makes your skin glow and feel super refreshed. Mixing and applying is fun too.
« Must Have »
I’ve tried a billion masks but this is definitely in my top 3. Maybe even tied for number one. Most recently used this after a MediSpa peel because my skin was looking dull and feeling dry due to the weather. My skin feels and looks brand new. Very spa like and moisturizing, my skin feels pleasant and supple after.Put the gel first and then the powder and mix fast, I have no problems getting a thick even coat on although I do ditch the spatula after mixing.
« Mask Addict! »
Mix the two packets. Apply to your face. Let it set. Them remove after 7-10 minutes. Ridiculous fun and my face felt cool, tingly and very hydrated. My husband even commented that my skin looked brighter. It’s a bit pricey but for stressed or dull skin, it’s worth it. Enjoy!
« Feels Amazing! »
Makes my skin feel & look so hydrated also smooth. Love that it soothes my eczema on face. My new favorite mask!!
« great! immediate results »
I love this mask. Ive purchased this three times now and every time my skin looks super glowy and healthy and feels very smooth and soft immediately after use. The results don’t last more than a day (hence 4 out of 5 stars) but I am yet to find a mask that works as well. I have tried many moisture masks, my skin gets really dry and peely in the winter- so bad that I get excess oil and end up with breakouts. The struggle to balance moisturizing and exfoliating is real! This mask though, used once every 1-2 weeks keeps me in check. Re: other reviews that are negative- You need to read the directions and apply in thick even layers. The key here to getting it to peel off nicely is putting it on thick. You can’t save the product once you’ve mixed it so just slather it all over your face. The directions also warn you that it will set in about 5-10min so you have to move once you mix the products together. I use a mini rubber spatula and my fingers. Honestly my fingers work better than anything to make it even. If you have a mask brush that would probably work nicely. The applicators they include suck. For the price they should have included a brush.
« No results, but fun! »
I just finished my last mask in the package (4 in total) and I do not see any real visible differences. BUT it is super fun to use, and if you want to treat yourself to a mini spa day I do highly recommend it. So for results? No. For fun? Yes!
