Can I start off by saying, look at my picture! This tint is absolutely amazing! It’s so light, creamy, and literally feels like a moisturizer and sets in like one too! My skin is glowing and I have found my #1 staple I always want to have in my routine! I did find that you get A LOT of coverage when applied with a sponge/brush by patting it in. I prefer applying it with my fingertips like a moisturizer as it blends smoother and looks super natural and radiant!

I picked up both the Fair-Light and the Light-Medium shades and am sharing my honest and authentic opinion as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador based on my experience with this product. The Fair-Light is too light for me now but will work in the late fall / winter months. It has that greige cast in the photo that can be typical in Korean BB creams but even with having a little tan now, the product blended well and without that greige cast. The Light-Medium is a slightly more tan than my complexion now, but the formula is on the sheer side and when blended out looks fine.WHAT I LIKE:* silky, creamy consistency* applies smoothly, blends easily* wears comfortably, feels light on the skin* skin feels hydrated* evens tone, brightens complexion* satiny finish with a dewy (non greasy) glow* better shade range than previous BB creams from the brand (but see more comments below)* high SPF but I’d still recommend wearing a separate sunblock underneathAREA(S) FOR IMPROVEMENT:* while there’s a lot more shades to choose from than in Dr Jart’s other BB cream lines, there’s room for more shadesFYI / OTHER THOUGHT:* light coverage, buildable to medium coverage* not transfer-proof (but also not expected to be); it can last 8+ hours if set with powder* did not pill with my sunblock* good for every day or “no makeup” makeup days* For reference, my other foundation shade matches include: Tower 28 Sunny Days Melrose; Chanel No. 20; Dior 1.5N or 2N; MAC NC 15 or NC20. With most Korean beauty cushions, I fall between No. 21 and No. 23 depending on the time of year.

I received this product free from Influenster to give my honest opinion an I am slightly disappointed this product is made for lighter skin tone girls I believe, I got the the darkest and it had me looking casket sharp. I wouldn’t buy it again.

« Please bring back Black Label Detox »

I purchased at a Sephora store when I couldn’t find Black Label Detox - this will not be a repeat purchase. I’ve been using for two months, really wanting to like it but I just don’t. It sits really heavy on the skin where I am anxious to take it off at the end of the day. The finish is not as glowy as Black Label. Black Label was luxurious feeling, felt really nice on the skin and left a really nice subtle glowy finish. Also provided a nice moisturizer plus SPF. I have been using Black Label Detox for over 10 years now. Really disappointed it may have been discontinued. I now am shopping for something else as I will not buy this product again.

« Bring back the old formula!! »

I have used the previous formula of this (with the black top) for YEARS. It was my all time favorite make up and never looked too heavy. When I went to reorder this, I noticed they changed the formula a little bit, however I ordered the same shade I always do. It is NOT the same shade. It is way too dark for my face and feels so different. I’m so bummed that I will have to find a new cover up. Just a fair warning to all who have used the previous formula!

If you are a fan of the old BB cream in the gold glass-like bottle then you will be disappointed in this. The shade does not match the old one and is heavily pigmented yellow. I put it on and looked like I needed hospitalization. Dr Jart , please bring back the other one

« Not for me »

I purchased this to replace a discontinued Jr Jart product. I won’t repurchase. It’s not as good as the black label, not as creamy, doesn’t blend as well, don’t like the way it feels on my skin. I’m sure there are much less expensive alternatives that are equal or better. I miss the old formula, been using that for years.

I got this product to test out from Influenster and I was disappointed because in 2022, it’s weird that darker shades are still not a common thing. I got the darkest shade and it was so ashy on me. Texture wise, it was light and didn’t feel like I had something on my face but I obviously couldn’t try it as I wanted to. If you’re a dark skinned person looking for a bb cream, I’d tell you to not do it. For everyone else, I’m sure it will be what you need.

« Multi-Year Staple Gone BAD! »

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I was a religious user of the Black Label BB Cream - for years it’s all I used because it was the perfect match to my skin (I have fair skin with pink/neutral undertones). I repurchased this thinking it’d be the same (and it’s a lot of work finding a new formula that works). This couldn’t be more different. I put it on and thought I was putting bronzer all over my face I immediately had to take it off. The texture was more oily too. I’m so so upset. Calvert disappointed. pinkundertones).

« Prefer Black Label BB Cream »

I had been using the old Dr Jart bb cream formula (black label and detox) for the past 7 years and thought this product would be similar. Compared to the black label bb cream, this gives an almost red undertone and does not provide as much coverage.

The new formula and shades are AWFUL. I used the original BB cream for years and I’m so disappointed I will have to find something else.

« Youthful skin »

I went into Sephora planning to try the Saie tinted moisturizer. Upon entering this caught my eye first on a new display. I swatched the light/medium and it was a perfect match. Then I tried thus completely on one side and the Saie on the other. This had better coverage and a better color match for me so this was the winner. I tried the original Dr. Jart one and did not like it at all. I felt like there was way to much gliw for me almost as if I noticed glitter specks. This does not look that way on me. It has a nice youthful glow like my skin is well moisturized without the “glitter “ this will be my new every day staple. I am 50 with dry patches and plenty of wrinkles and this did not settle at all in the 6 hours I had it on. I never used a primer or set with anything. I do have large pores so I may tap a primer on my T zone to minimize that but it really wasn’t a big deal when wearing this alone. I love the ease and quickness of putting this on with my fingers throwing in my milk blush and I’m done. Really really happy with my purchase. I do have acne prone ( cystic) skin. And so far no pimples so I would say even with the chemical sunscreen it was not problematic for me.

« Want original formula back! »

I used this product for YEARS (the gold bottle with the black cap) and loved it. Went to restock this time to see it has been reformulated and the shade is totally different and very orangey. Very disappointing!

« Premium BB Cream »

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for my honest thoughts and opinions. I have been using this bb cream for a few weeks and I have enjoyed it. I was worried that the color was a little too dark/pink but I followed the directions and after it dries down it was a very nice match. The container has a nice pump attached and feels very heavy and luxurious. I also couldn’t really smell any type of scent so there is no over powering smells. It also gives a nice glow. My only 2 issues with it is number 1 it can feel a little heavy on my skin for a bb cream so I apply with a beauty blender which helps and number 2 it doesn’t exactly set. I live in FL so it can be very humid so I ended up sweating it off on days I was outside a lot. I also have combination oily skin and sweat more than most so I took my own skin issues into account. I will definitely use this during the fall and winter months when it is not as hot out and my skin is dry from the weather.

Tragically, the new formula sucks. The color is completely different than before. I’ve been using this exclusively for many years and now I’m struggling to find a new foundation :(
