This cleanser has too many preservatives in it, no thank you. This is my 3rd time posting this review - my previous two have disappeared several days after I wrote each of them.
« irritates my skin »
I originally received a sample size of this cleanser in the birthday gift set from Fresh. I loved it so much that I decided to purchase the full sized bottle. However, it started to really irritate my skin every time I used it. It stings my face and my skin would get super red and itchy afterwards. This did not happen at all when I was using the sample sized one. I would recommend checking the ingredients first before buying it to see if there’s something in there that your skin might react to (if you have super sensitive skin).

I was using Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple for almost 3 years and I had to stop using it due to the new ingredient change. I have very sensitive skin and the new Purity was causing my skin to feel very dry, tight, itchy, and it burned. I read all the great reviews on this and bought the travel size and I am so glad I did! I find this cleanser to be even more gentle than Purity especially around the eyes. My face can get a little bumpy and rosy and the ingredients in this product smoothes and calms my face so nicely. It takes of make-up and mascara easily without burning the eyes at all. My face feels hydrated afterwards and it feels very cool when you are rubbing it in so it is very relaxing. I have also notices that my eyelashes and eyebrows feel softer as well and my skin tone appears more even. My skin feels very clean but never stripped and dried out. The texture is different, it’s a little slimmy (and not in a bad way) almost like dew in the morning. This product smells so good too, like cucumbers and roses. If you are also looking for a cleanser to replace Purity, I highly recommend this one. I will be buying the full size when I run out!
« Good product, but a little pricey »
Quality wise, this is an awesome product. My face looks great since I’ve been using the Fresh soy formula. I had problems with oily forehead and dry cheeks, nose, mouth area. This product helped balance it all out. My skin looks healthy and glowing. The only downside is the product is a little pricey. I try to minimize the amt I use to help offset that. Beauty has a price, right?

I use retin a, so my skin is often dry and very sensitive. In the day I wear a very waterproof sunscreen that is hard to get off, and the cleanser takes it off, cleans my skin without making it dry or tight.

Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser is absolutely one of my favorite cleansers. I have oily and sensitive skin and this cleanser is gentle, but removes the dirt and oil like a charm. I use this with my Clarisonic face brush and it works great with it, too. This cleanser rinses clean without leaving behind any residue. My skin feels super-clean and refreshed after using this cleanser. Great product!!!

I purchased this because I loved the free sample I tried, and online it claims to be paraben free. However, the bottle I received contains SEVEN different types of parabens (listed in the ingredients on the back of the bottle). In fact, the ingredient list on my bottle isn’t even close to that online. If it didn’t have parabens or if the information online was accurate, I would have rated it much higher. I’m very disappointed.

I wanted to love this product. I wanted to use it for years to come and live happily ever after. I gave it a fair honest shot. But, it’s not going to work out... I’ve never had a worse break-out in my life. My once, perfect porcelain skin became infested with pimples, blackheads and breakouts after only a week of use. I didn’t mind the smell, or milky texture- I was willing to compromise. But not for the worst acne of my young adult life. Obviously, this product did not mesh well with my skin-type as there are plenty of positive reviews on this product. For me and my perfectly normal to dry skin-type...I’m afraid I’m going to have to part with this pimply poison. .

I’ve noticed a lot of confusion over whether or not this cleanser is an all-natural product. “Natural“ means different things to different brands. Soy is a natural ingredient, as is rose oil, cucumber extract, aloe extract; all of which Fresh Soy Face Cleanser has in its make up. And that luxurious, admittedly strong fragrance? Also natural! (Cucumber... Slightly. Smell it again and you’ll smell all that rose water that’s listed as the first ingredient). However, this cleanser is not an all-natural product. Some of its ingredients are natural; some, like the various parabens listed near the end of its ingredients list, and BHA and BTA (two synthetic preservatives) are certainly not natural. So no, this is not an all-natural product. It is a product that utilizes SOME great natural ingredients.As far as quality, I have really enjoyed this cleanser. I had been using a completely natural cleanser on my combination skin and started experiencing a lot of sensitivity with dryness and some breakouts. Since using this product (about two and half weeks now), my skin has a glow and softness it had been lacking for months. I haven’t had any breakouts, my pores look smaller, and though it hasn’t been greatly moisturizing, my skin has been significantly less dry.You don’t need much, it removes all make-up (eye make-up included), and has never bothered this contact wearer. Don’t expect a lot of suds, and prepare yourself for a very floral fragrance and a hefty price tag. In the end, I still give it 5 stars, because there’s no arguing with good skin.

Okay I know I am a guy and this isn’t targeted to me, but I was turned onto this a few years ago by my ex gf. She swore by this face wash. Since that day I have been using this since. My skin is softer, looks better, feels clean. I seriously will never stop using it. It’s gentle enough for everyday use but does a great job cleaning your skin and doesn’t leave my skin dried out. Great product.

I have combination/acne-prone skin. I found this cleanser to be a little below average considering the price. I really wanted to love this but it didn’t seem to really clean out my pores. Since I have started using this about a month ago my skin has been breaking out non-stop around the cheeks and jawline. I am wondering if I am allergic to something in it. But I will not directly blame this product for my breakout as it could be caused by diet or stress. I just had hopes that it would help keep my skin clear, but I guess I should be looking in the acne-prone range of cleansers. Pros to the product are that it isn’t drying and has a decent scent, if you don’t mind cucumber.

If you have oily skin at all- move on. This didn’t remove all my makeup but it also didn’t remove the excess oil from my skin at the end of the day. I’m not talking “it didn’t strip every speck of oil off my face,“ I mean that my face still felt dirty after using it. Maybe it’s great for other skin types.

Initially received this as a sample for my birthday gift , fell in love, and bought the full size. I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks and I find that with most cleansers they dry out my face way too much where I have to make up for it with a heavy moisturizer. But this one is perfect! Leaves your face feeling refreshed and so soft. Just a heads up for anyone who doesn’t like scents in cleansers, this does have a slight cucumber-y scent (like a cucumber water) not overpowering and it fades away quickly.

My skin has been through the gamut of weather abuse this year, and my usual cleansing routine was not working. Some areas of my skin were incredibly dry and hardening, while others were excessively oily and breaking out. After throwing a small tantrum, I went to Sephora and spoke with one of the professionals there, presenting her with my laundry list of needs; I have very sensitive skin, a severe nut allergy, and a limited budget. The associate - also named Katie! - recommended I try this cleanser, and boy was she spot-on. The cleanser does not lather like many other cleansers, so don’t use too much when you wash. It has a very faint fresh smell, almost cucumberish. When you rinse it off your skin, you can tell no crazy chemicals have been left behind to dry you out. I washed my face that night before going to bed and used the Youth face cream, and I could see - and feel - a dramatic difference this morning.I would highly recommend this product.
