Okay, now I don’t normally write bad reviews. I thankfully only got this as a deluxe size and not the full size, but I should have read the ingredients before I gave it a go. I have sensitive combination skin that is prone to hormonal acne. This felt soft at first, but irritated my skin so bad. My face was ichy in patches, and it looked scratched in others. I thought that was odd.Analyzing the ingredients, the second one on the list is microcrystalline cellulose, which is just a fancy way of saying wood pulp. Yeah, wood pulp. You’re scrubbing your face with wood. Ingredient three? Propanediol, which can be derived from a natural base like corn or sugar, but it is still altered with synthetic chemicals, making the final compilation much like propylene glycol. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a basic coconut or palm oil based surfactant. The glycerin is not so bad, but it’s the fifth ingredient and the top 5 ingredients in formulations make up 90 to 95% of most products on the market. This small positive is really offset by the next ingredient, anyway, acrylates copolymer or acrylic acid a.k.a. a microplastic.Why does it cost $35 to rub your face with water, wood pulp, synthetically altered ingredients, cheap coconut/palm oil suds, and plastic? I’ll never understand. Tatcha, this is downright shameful.

I guess I’m buying a $46 cleanser now?! I’ve been using this cleanser twice daily for about a week now, and already some scaly areas of my skin are healing (without changing anything else)! My skin is definitely more hydrated and less red, and I don’t feel dried out or tight after I rinse it off. Most importantly compared to other hydrating cleansers I’ve tried, my skin actually feels and looks cleaner. I like the smell (faintly lemongrass-y), and I like the slight grittiness that dissolves quickly and sloughs away flaky skin. I feel luxurious af using it, and I’ll definitely keep using it.

Love it! I finally found something that keeps working and is evening out my skin.

Two days in and I’m obsessed. Use a pea sized amount on very wet hands, lather first on your hands, then smooth over your face in upward circles for SIXTY seconds. Supple, moisture-balanced, bouncy CLEAN skin awaits. On the pricier side of cleansers for me but considering a little goes a long way, I don’t see myself going through it quickly. 10/10.

this is hands down 100% the absolute best face wash i’ve ever used in my entire life. i love it so much that i bought it for my boyfriend too and he is obsessed as well. in 2 weeks this has not only completely changed my skins texture but also the appearance. i will never use another face wash again

I used to never spend too much money on face wash but using this with the dewy serum together has definitely made me notice a difference...my skin is definitely very soft and glowy

I love the texture and how it smells but it doesn’t worth it, is overpriced and doesn’t clean enough. When I use another one (La Roche Posay) and I applied my toner with the cotton pad doesn’t looks like this, is clean, but with this one, I feel it very dirty

« Favourite face wash - but cap keeps breaking »

By far my favourite face wash. My husband loves it too and only uses this face wash. HOWEVER, please please do something about the packaging. The hinge of the cap keeps breaking (2 bottles, 2 times in a row now). It seems like it’s ’lightly attached’ and with frequent opening/closing, the hinge breaks.

Ok first off I am 56 years old so I have been through alot of cleansers and this one is amazing it actually does it’s job I have been fighting cancer 3 years now and chemotherapy treatments change your skin this stuff makes me glow feels great after using doesn’t leave your skin tight leaves it so smooth and glow after I use this I follow up with the dewy skin moisturizer thank you tatcha for making these amazing products my skin loves you

So I was really having a tough time with maskne and getting other areas of acne on my face (they really hurt to touch and move my face!). So I’ve was religiously using my 5 step system that I got from my esthetician and had just received a diamond glow treatment to my face, BUT my face was still a mess. SO I decided to incorporate this cleanser into my morning routine and use the cleanser in my system only at night. The smell is very alerting (in a good way) which makes it perfect for morning use...it’s like a light citrus smell and I love it! Next the cleanser is not abrasive to my face so my face wasn’t red or puffy after using it. Lastly, within three days of incorporating this cleanser, my acne spots started drying up and I saw almost no new acne spots. With continued use, I have only experienced a couple acne spots on my chin which is inevitable as I wear a mask for 8-9 hours a day. I’m guessing the Ph of my face must have been out of whack, but this product really helped!

As a 19 year old male who shaves with a blade multiple times a week my skin can get very irritated if I don’t use the right products. This face wash doubles as a physical exfoliant but also as a great cleansing product. It keeps my pores clean especially when I use it after a warm shower. I would recommended rubbing the product through your fingertips with a small splash of warm water before applying onto the face. This ensures the product is broken up and softened and it feels much smoother on the skin and is much more gentle. I get paranoid about granular ingredients in face washes because I don’t want to strip my skin, this product is high quality and does not strip my skin at all. It is moisturizing and the scent is subtle but quite nice. I use Tatcha almost exclusively in my skincare routine now. I follow this wash with The Essence, Violet C Serum, and Silk Cream moisturizer and my skin looks perfect and feels amazing. Would recommend this to anybody interested in exploring luxury skincare as Tatcha does blow me away with their clean ingredients and brisk results.

I absolutely love this face wash! My maturing skin looks so much smoother since I started using it daily about 2 months ago. I receive compliments all the time so I purchased an extra tube for my shower and one for my daughter. My only disappointment is the packaging. While the tube works great the cap has broken off all three tubes I’ve purchased. Very frustrating for such a great product!

Received a mini size as a gift. I was using Dermalogica at the time and just needed something new. due to my sensitive skin I’m scared to try anything new. But I decided why not!Thank the dewy skin gods that I did because I have never in my life had dewy skin until now. This cleanser feels amazing on your skin. It begins with a creamy lather, mild exfoliation. I use it with my pro PMD and it lathers perfectly. I loved it so much I went off and purchased the big daddy size.

love love love! I tried a complimentary tube of this wash and I was blown away! I was skeptical at first because I had never heard of this brand let alone using rice water besides on hair. my skin was super soft afterwards and it seemed like the oil just magically disappeared as well. i love that a little went a long way!
