I’m not into body butter or body moisturizers bc i typically find them tedious to apply daily, but this product has completely changed me. I love putting it on and how it makes your skin feel is truly something to behold. It really does keep you deeply moisturized for days and it smells so good. This is my first goop product and now i want to try more. It’s that good. I can’t imagine someone being disappointed with this product.

Very thick and moisturizing. I really like it. I gave it 3 stars because they price is ridiculous. I do think Goop products are really good and I enjoy them. But let’s get real, they are overpriced. There is never any reason to pay $55 for a “clean“ body lotion.

I purchased it most for the hype and have to say it is definitely a good moisturizer. However, it is not $55 good. After this try, I will go back to my $10 cetaphil which is pretty much the same.

Almost 5 stars, but the scent is not enjoyable at all. I love earthy scents but this almost smells a step away from body odor. The texture is great and it’s very moisturizing while not being greasy. If there was an alternate scent I’d be so happy.

agree with other reviews- the product itself, texture etc is great but the smell is sooo bad. Smells like rotten limes/lemons. And it lingers on your clothes. Please change the scent and I will purchase again, but until then I just can’t!

I like the texture of this, and the way it feels on my skin! But the scent is not very nice. Reminds me of black pepper and musty, dampness!

I am a huge fan of Goop products but let’s be honest , this body butter stinks , as in it smells like old play-doh. I read the other reviews before buying it , thinking that the scent could not be so bad , but it actually is . It did leave my skin super soft but the horrible scent lingered for hours so it has to go back ...

Best moisturizer/body butter I’ve ever tried. I’ve got dry skin and it’s never looked or felt better. Will repurchase!

I love this product - it really helps with dry skin especially in the winter. I went through an entire container already! Definitely think it’s slightly overpriced though.

Love this product. Super hydrating but doesn’t leave you feeling greasy, absorbs really well. Has made such a huge difference this winter to my skin.

This body butter is Very moisturizing. While it is pricey, a little goes a long way. This is perfect for the upcoming colder seasons.

« Healthy Skin Barrier »

I agree with the other reviews that the smell is not great. It lingers on clothes and is a combination of limes and body odor. However I only use it at night and have learned to get over the scent because I love the results. This is a very thick cream but spreads and absorbs quickly and easily. I have really bad eczema and I use the necessarie body serum first and then out this on top. After a month of nightly use my skin is finally eczema free and my skin barrier is super healthy. My skin just looks so healthy in a way I haven’t seen before. Even when I don’t have eczema, my skin always looks scaly and dry not matter what I’ve used so this really has made a noticeable difference in the appearance and health of my skin. I’m on my second jar and I will keep repurchasing. I do wish goop would see these comments about the smell and take the fragrance out.

First, let me clarify that I am not one of those “scent sensitive“ people. In general, my nose is hard to offend. Spicy grass? Fine. Strong floral? Fine. Weird celery? Fine. I purchase products all the time knowing other reviewers dislike the smell, and I’ve never been particularly bothered. This body butter is an exception. I opened it today, eager to try it, as I like other Goop beauty products. But I physically recoiled the second this hit my nostrils. It smells straight up like mildew, or maybe the better word, as other reviewers have noted, musty. The formula is nice, my skin does feel soft, but I’ve tried lotions of similar quality sans the offensive smell. I will never be touching this again. If the smell of damp towels crumpled in the corner of a humid bathroom doesn’t bother you, this might be fine. For anyone else, even those with a normally “indifferent nose,“ proceed with caution.

I’m not sure what everyone is talking about this smelling bad. I’m incredibly sensitive to smells and this body butter smells amazing. I go through the stuff like water. Beautiful product, GP!
