I tried kiehl’s amazon clay mask and glamglow’s supermud but they both burned my skin (supermud was a nightmare). This one on the other hand, i felt no heat or what so ever. My skin definitely felt smoother after the first use. This is 10/10 for the people with the sensitive skin

« My Favorite Clay Mask »

I’ve been using this mask for years and I’ve never found a more gentle yet effective clay mask. I used to live in a city in china where’s it was super polluted and sometimes I’d use this mask everyday and it never dried me out. I’m 29, with an occasional hormonal outbreaks and doing this 2-3 times a week has really helped keep my pores in check. One thing I like about this mask is it’s added AHA. So it clears and smooths the surface of my skin. Just always remember to hydrate you skin after a clay mask and don’t using too many active ingredients (like AHA, BHA’s, Vitamin C) all in the same routine.

« Mixed feelings about this.... »

This product gives me mixed feelings. (got the trial size for free from a promotion)After consistent use for 3 weeks here are my thoughts:PROS:-I love how it isn’t stripping for a clay based mask. I was able to use this on my not-as-oily areas without any dryness. -It also chemically exfoliates using glycolic and lactic acid, and it doesn’t sting my skin. -THE PRICE is unbeatable. $15 for such a large bottle, that probably will give you enough to last for 3-4 months if you use it 2-3 time a week. CONS:- It contains WALNUT SHELL POWDER. This is the same kind of stuff in St. Ives scrubs... As long as you don’t rub your skin when washing this off you should be fine, but it still is unsettling to know it exists in this product.-It has Fragrance. Most people tend to avoid fragrance since it can be irritating, but I personally don’t mind it in a wash off product like a mask. This does have a hefty fragrance smell though...Overall, not a horrible product. It personally did not give me much results besides making my face feel more clean and oil free without over stripping it. If you’re looking for something just for fun and affordable, this is a pretty solid product.

« Walnut shell powder not a big deal... »

This is in response to the bad review for the walnut shell powder. Yes, walnut shell powder can cause micro tears when they are in exfoliating scrubs. Unless you’re rubbing the mask vigorously on your skin, which you should NOT be doing that, then you won’t be getting those micro tears. I was comparing the ingredients in this to the Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask which I do love, but this one is very very similar in ingredients and it has no fragrance! Will definitely be trying this mask out, and it’s cheap!

« walnut shell powder?!? ouch!!! »

I am SO disappointed in this being sold at Sephora!!!! I selected this as a sample with one of my orders. Totally my fault. I did not read the ingredients. I assumed they would all be great for my skin. I struggle with small blackheads from time to time and occasional acne. After getting my skin care routine in order it has really helped to balance out my skin and I have not gotten acne and only have occasional blackheads. So I like to use a charcoal or clay mask 1-2x a week to clean all of the sebum out of my pores. I think everyone should use a charcoal or clay mask atleast once a week-no matter what skin type you are!! Seeing that this mask had clay and volcanic ash made me really interested in trying it! I can honestly say I have never tried a product with volcanic ash. The mask was somewhat hard to apply to my skin. It was creamy but it was very dry. I was able to cover my entire face, I am just used to very creamy masks. Applying it to my face it actually felt grainy, which I was surprised about. It felt fine while I had it on for the 10 minutes. It did not burn or bother my skin at all. Once it came time to rinse it off was when I noticed a HUGE problem! It actually HURT to rinse off! It felt like tiny pieces of glass while rinsing my face!!! I have used exfoliating masks before like the Origins Rose clay mask that uses jojoba beads (very good ingredient for exfoliating!) I have also used sugar and coffee scrubs but realized that they are too harsh for skin. I went to look up the ingredients in this mask and it contains WALNUT SHELL POWDER!!!! That is HARSH on skin and it is no wonder it hurt my face while rinsing it off!!!! Through out the entire day my skin felt and looked inflamed, it burnt and it did feel like there were tiny scratches all over it!!! I used a moisturizing mask immediately afterward and layered on heavy moisturizer after that and again at night. I will NEVER use a mask with shell powder, sugar or coffee again!!!

I’ve NEVER had clear skin and I’m 24 years old. I have always struggled with black heads and the occasional white head, but I chalked it up to genetics and learned to just live with it, after many attempts to get my skin clear. Fast forward to 2020 and with the implementation of masks, my skin became horrible. I had tons of under the skin pimples and my black heads were multiplying over night. It got to the point that I could squeeze any random spot on my cheek and my pores would expel tons of gunk. I did a ton of online research and purchased the following products:- Murad Clarifying Cleanser- Innisfree Super Volcanic Clusters Pore Clearing Clay Mask- Peace Out Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment SerumI’m four days in and have noticed an immediate difference in my skin. I use the cleanser, with a cleaning brush, and serum twice a day, but have only used the mask once. My blackheads are almost completely gone, my under the skin acne has vanished completely, my skin is 10x softer and my complexion is evening out. I’m absolutely amazed. I went from being hopeless to amazed in a matter of days.

Affordable and effective clay mask. I use on my face but also on- wait for it- my armpits. I use natural deodorant and kept reading recommendations online to use a clay mask on your armpits if your body isn’t ummm adjusting to natural deodorant- so I used this one and I noticed improvement. Everyone’s body is so different but I was floored how it helped with my (okay, I’ll just say it) B.O. I do love using it for its intended use too- on the face. It applies very smoothly and drys relatively quick.

Best clay mask i’ve used. i’ve been using innisfree for over 2 years now, have purchased multiple times. i am so glad that sephora is finally selling popular korean products. I have extremely sensitive skin. and it does not break me out or dry me out too much. also it doesn’t have a smell huge plus!!

« Not bad »

So I tried this Innisfree pore clearing clay mask and it’s not bad. It might have helped my pores a little but it caused a bit of redness, but that’s typical to a certain degree. I mainly didn’t like the fact that it has some ingredients that are not clean to me, like PEG’s, drying alcohol, walnut shell powder which can be abrasive, etc. At least there is no parabens or sulfates or other bad ingredients that I don’t like. I just wish it was cleaner. It’s a good price for what you get it’s only $15 for 3.38 fluid ounces. If they worked on the ingredients which would also help with my somewhat sensitive skin, I would definitely give this a higher rating. I appreciate getting this gifted by Innisfree for my honest review.

I got this as a sample from my online Sephora order.This product is amazing for cleaning out pores! It made my skin incredibly soft! I didn’t read the ingredients before using it so I was completely disappointed to find that it has Walnut Powder in it after watching the video. Walnut shell/powder is extremely terrible for your skin and causes permanent damage or micro- tears! I was just about to put it in my cart. I would have loved to purchase it but I will have to find something else that doesn’t have Walnut Powder in it.

Definitely get this one over the mousse. The main difference is the that the mousse has 3 types of alcohols in it as well as salicylic acid. They both already have lactic acid in it so I think the addition of salicylic acid is a bit over kill, definitely go with this one if you have more sensitive skin as this is was not harsh on my skin at all. I actually fell asleep with this one for a few hours and my skin did not dry out. I definitely notice a reduction of pores and maybe about 10 minutes after washing off, I notice more blackheads on my skin coming to the surface that I then use my fingers or a tool to extract.

Okay, so I got this product as a sample... AND LET ME TELL YOU... it got rid of all my blackheads on my noses. I have had a strawberry looking nose for the longest time and have tried so many different types of masks ( and wasted my. money on some expensive ish) but today I was like hmm let me just try a sample mask I got and omg I don’t regret a thing. I hope this will work on everybody as it did me but it’s not too expensive so I’m definitely going to be buying this product :) thought I should share.

I am surprised that there are so many good reviews on this product. I did not like it at all. The mask made me break out more and left a waxy film on my skin that I did not care for. I felt like it did not do anything to improve my skin and would not recommend it. I prefer the Glamglow mud mask even if it is 3x more expensive.

I love this product! Amazing price and a little goes a long way. I have very oily, sensitive skin. This products immediately minimized my pores (you could even see the holes in the mask from where the pores opened and pulled). The product wasn’t too harsh or drying. I 1000% recommend!
