Confidence in a Gel Lotion

« GOOD for oily yet dry skin »

I have oily skin that tends to be dry and frankly didnt have high hopes.. I find that gel moisturizers lack longevity in terms of keeping skin hydrated but this lasts. No tightness at all. This goes AMAZING as an all in one makeup base/primer.. I just wish it had more skincare ingredients. Like ok - Cactus extract.. what else? glycerin? Glycerin is extremely cheap! I think IT could do better!!!

I had read some rave reviews about this product, so I was super stoked to get the opportunity to try it out. I’ve been using Retin-A to treat fine lines and acne and I’ve had a hard time finding a moisturizer that a.) would actually moisturize my dry, flaky skin, especially around my mouth and nose, and b.) didn’t clog my pores in the process, making Retin-A useless, but it appears I have found it. IT Confidence in a Gel doesn’t feel greasy or heavy, which is what I expected from a moisturizer that claims to moisturize for 72 hours straight. It feels pretty light when it is pumped out, and once it’s spread around, it disperses into the lightest moisturizer possible. It feels a bit like a silicone-based hair product, with that slick, wet feeling, but it somehow works on your face. I haven’t had nearly as many issues with dry skin since using it, which is awesome, considering I’m using Retin-A in a super dry climate (Colorado). I also really love the fact that this product uses a pump system and isn’t open for bacteria or other nasty junk to enter it. The closed system is awesome.

I really like this jel lotion it goes on like a jel but feels very soft and silky on my skin. I noticed a difference to my skin within 3 days of using it. My fine lines around my eyes have faded and my skin is glowing and looks so hydrated.

I was excited to try this product. I was looking for a moisturizer that didn’t leave my face greasy. I applied it before bed and loved how soft skin skin felt. I applied it the next morning before applying makeup. It didn’t leave my face feeling greasy at all. Just what I was looking for.

Lightweight feel, but heavy on the moisturizing benefits. I’m almost 37, oil-combo skin. This gel goes on like silk and is surprisingly superior than my heavy cream moisturizers. I make sure my skin is fresh, exfoliated with a scrub or at least washed with a nubby washcloth prior to use and only need. Aspen sized amount. It is unscented and spreads on so smoothly. Wearing my sheer foundation goes great with this gel. Its different from my cream moisturizers because, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling like I am wearing a layer of gunk. The gel absorbs into my skin and it feels so calming to massage it in. It’s like liquid silk. I would definitely buy this.

I have dry skin and redness to my facial tone, eye wrinkles as well. I’ve noticed my eye wrinkles are a little less noticeable. The redness has also evened out. This gel feels super soft and leaves my face feeling soo smooth! I don’t like the feel of oil on my face and this feels a little oily. I think I might like the cream better than a gel however the gel dries fairly quickly!

This is nothing more than a silicone primer. Face will feel smooth after applying since this product is heavy in silicone but not particularly hydrating.

« Surprisingly light and refreshing »

I am pleasently surprised with this product, I was hesitant to use a gel based moisturizer but it actually works really weather it’s in the A.M. under make up or in the evening as my final moisturizer in my regimen. A very small amount goes a long way and it goes on very light, no sticky residue and feels refreshing. I haven’t been using it that long but so far I would definitely recommend this product.

I want to love this product. I initially received it as a sample, and purchased a full-size bottle because it is so nice. It feels so light, yet hydrating. It’s not tacky or sticky. But it immediately breaks me out into tiny little bumps all over my face. I think it’s the silicones. Either way, very disappointing because I wanted to make it my forever moisturizer.

I honestly do love this lotion but not for my skin. Gel based lotions just make my combination skin so oily. I love this for the ingredients but without a lotion formulation I had to return it - it simply sat on my skin and just wouldn’t absorb. If you have horribly dry skin only, I bet this would be a wonderful product for you :)

I love this product. I have dry acne prone skin and often react to products with redness and burning. I tried many products to help and my skin was still red and flaking. I had an old sample of this I tried on a whim, as nothing was helping (including my Josie Marian which is argan oil and aloe). One night of this and my flakes were significantly reduced. My skin barrier was much improved and my skin was calmer and less red. I was worried bc of the high silicone content however after speaking to my dermatologist he explained that silicones have received a bad rap and that they can help protect the skin, trap moisture, and promote healing. I bought this product immediately knowing my sample would only last a few days, and the results have been great. I find it works well as a primer for makeup too, so I use this before their cc cream. I haven’t had any issues with acne since using this over the past few months.

I really did not like this moisturizer at all. I have skin that is sensitive, acne-prone, and dry and I have tried dozens of different moisturizers in my life. Most acne products seem to be oil-free so I am no stranger to those either. This product was not like anything I’ve ever tried before so I have to give it credit for that. It felt more like a makeup primer than a moisturizer. It went on quickly and absorbed relatively well but I felt like it was gone before lunch which is disappointing for something that builds itself as moisturizing for 72 hours. I was surprised how bad of a job it did at moisturizing my skin. I will give it two stars because it does not have a band fragrance oh, it applied well oh, and the pump was easy to use. This is obviously a new style of product that will work really well for some people but just did not work for me at all. It did not make my acne any worse so that’s a plus as well.

« Worst lotion ever »

I got a couple of samples and it’s so hard to absorb this product. It just sits on my face and the greasy feeling won’t go away for hours. It also broke me out so bad, I had acne flare-ups all over my forehead. The acne went down as soon as I stopped using it. Probably the worse lotion I’ve ever used.

Outstanding everyday moisturizer! perfect level of hydration for oily or oily-combo skin, gentle enough for sensitive skin. One pump smooths out really nicely all over the face, and it sinks in nice and quick. One of my faves for sure.

IT COSMETICS Confidence in a Gel Lotion works better than I expected. I like the gel formula. It goes on and spreads easily. No sticky or greasy residue is left behind after it quickly absorbs into the skin. Is light but hydrates well. Skin feels soft and moisturized. This is a good basic lotion. Basic as in it is just a moisturizer - doesn’t tighten, doesn’t contain retinols, oils of any kind or sunscreen. Hydration does last all day.
