Lately my skin has looked terrible. I’m 41 with combo skin, occasional hormonal breakouts, and big pores that were looking dark and dirty. Nothing I threw at my face was making it look much better. It continued to look congested and...frankly just gross. I had a jar of this Kiehl’s mask hanging out from a few months before but hadn’t tried it yet, so I gave it a go, not expecting much. When I washed it off, the clouds parted and angels of the Lord came down to celebrate my radiance. Well, no, but they may as well have, because my skin hasn’t looked this good in I-don’t-know-how-long. My pores are tighter, clean and clear. My skin feels smooth and soft even days later. Out of the dozen or so masks I’ve tried that say they’re going to clean my pores, this is the only one to not only live up to my expectations, but exceed them.

Best clay mask I’ve used! I’m purchasing my second jar of this mask now. I’ve tried glam glow, origins, and many other popular clay mask brands...this hands down beat those for value and effectiveness. I have large blackhead-prone pores, and this product does a great job to keep them clean. I try to use it three times a week and this first jar has lasted 3 months. I am not light handed with application, so this has lasted forever. Way better than origins believe me!!

I mean it. This is what I’ve been looking for in a deep cleansing mask my whole life. I’ve got fairly normal skin, but certain areas of my face, mostly in my t-zone have a tendency to become really clogged with grossess. Sebum, leftover product that gets stuck, etc. I dont like to exfoliate too much because I’ve got sensitive skin and that’ll just cause redness and irritation but whats a girl to do? No one likes that lumpy bumby look- we all want our foundation to look nice and smooth. I use this about once a week, after a good wash- I slap it on while I’m doing my nighttime routine and my skin is SO MUCH BETTER afterwards. Nose is much clearer, and inflamed areas are fresher and clearer all without my skin feeling painfully dry and tight. I do make sure to put on a good moisturizer afterwards- but nothing beyond my regular nighttime moisturizer. If you struggle with clogged pores you MUST have this in your kit!

Omg I love this stuff. After I wash my face everyday in the shower (exfoliator then soap), I use a toner right after and then apply this mask and remove it with a hot towel. It’s been about a month now and I can’t believe how great my skin looks. I have been trying to find THE product that helps me achieve amazing skin, and this is it for me. I have oily, blackhead prone skin. I wouldn’t say this removes blackheads, but it DOES help keep oil and things from clogging your pores. My skin is softer, more even, and I even use less makeup. I have never felt comfortable without makeup but after adding this to my skin care routine, I feel amazing about my skin. I purchased the smaller tub, and it’s going to last me months of everyday use.

This is THE BEST mask I’ve ever used. I have hormonal, cystic acne and rely on a mask to suck out the gunk on the regular. I’ve been using this for at least 10 years. I’ve tried others, but none are quite as good. It does a great job of pulling out toxins and balancing oil. But it does NOT dry my skin. Bonus - you can use as an overnight spot treatment. Put a little dab on a blemish and it will help dry it overnight. Lasts forever!

This is such an underrated mask. You can really see a difference in your pores and blackheads after using this! I haven’t found any others that perform like this one. My face has never looked so clear, clean, and healthy. I just got several containers (from a couple different gift sets) of Peter Thomas Roth’s Irish Moor Mask, but immediately came back to this one after one use. I just didn’t get the same results! Also, I have very sensitive skin and nothing I’ve tried from Kiehl’s so far has caused me to peel, break out, or dry out.

I tried to write a review on the Kiehl’s website but they never published it. I wanted to love this mask, I love the daily cleanser and moisturizer. I recently purchased the mask and the tonic to round out my collection. I’ve used the mask twice now and both time I broke out like crazy. I used the mask after cleanser in the early evening, just a thin layer and washed off with warm water after 10 minutes, followed with the tonic and moisturizer. The next morning the whole left side of my wash had broken out. I have combination skin, occasional blemishes, and I’m 28 yr old female. I have huge pores and I was banking on this collection to help me with that. There is a ton of value in this product, I have SO much left. Unfortunately I won’t be using it again so it is a waste for me.

I suffer from large pores and blackheads on my nose. I have used clay masks at different price points before and after finding this, and haven’t found one that is better.Here is my method:1. Use after showering or steaming your face. I notice sometimes if I leave the bathroom after a shower and come back, it’s not the same bc it exposes your skin to a cooler temperature and your pores aren’t as “open“.2. (optional) use a moisturizing serum before application3. Massage mask into areas where you have the most blackheads. For my untroubled skin areas, I use another mask, like moisturizing or brightening. Using a clay mask all over your face might be too much if you don’t need it4. Let dry for 10 mins5. Massage with warm water to remove. Or if you want to use a washcloth 6. Rinse face with cold water after all mask is removed7. Apply a toner mask (calendula, if you have it as it helps with pores. If it is summer it’s great to refrigerate the toner ahead of time) to help “close“ the pores with a lower temperature. Remove after 10 mins. Sheet masks can also work but I find they don’t help with blackheads8. Apply the rest of your skincare. Preferably nothing too heavy around the blackhead areasI think this is the best method to “remove“ your blackheads. You will have to do it like twice a week depending on how bad your blackheads are. The mask consistency is also quite thick, it will last you a very long time.This seems to help with my inflamed acne spots (I get cystic pimples due to hormones). All in all, the best clay mask I’ve tried so far bc it is effective without drying out my skin.

This is the only mask I own right now. I love skincare but I’m not a huge believer in masks because they are on for such a short amount of time. In the past, I’ve fallen victim to expensive masks like Glam Glow and hydrating masks which are basically glorified overpriced night creams. While I don’t have anything bad to say about masks like the ones mentioned above, I’m a big believer in consistent skin care like my nightly low percentage acid peels and argan oil and I personally am not going to be spending a lot on masks anymore. That being said, every once in awhile we all find our skin visibly congested, irritated, dull, and/or dry and I think masks can be helpful for that. This is the perfect clay mask. It’s soothing/ non-irritating and I do feel like my face is softer after using it. Because I use acids in my daily skincare, I don’t need a mask with a lot of actives and I don’t want to pay for that. With this mask, you get what you pay for and it’s a good product. No actives but it really refreshes your skin when you need it. It doesn’t suck out whole blackheads or anything drastic but it mildly exfoliates and absorbs the oil and sebum from the very top layer of your skin. It’s not a bad spot treatment either due to its absorbent properties and soothing ingredients like aloe and oatmeal.

Have been using this for a few weeks now and notice a difference in my complexion! My favorite face mask. Use it as a spot treatment overnight for arising zits and they’re dried out by the morning. Highly recommend!!!!

Unfortunately, I have started dealing with occasional hormonal acne...the kind under the skin. It would take weeks to go away as there wasn’t really a “head“ per se, but a deep disturbance. Even after the spot was no longer inflamed, the redness and it’s presence were visible, and if it was by my eye socket, it looked like I was recovering from a black eye. My husband has been great dealing with the newer hormone changes and would tell me, I don’t ever remembering you breaking out...there has to be something you can find at Sephora.So, thanks to the many lovelies here reviewing this gem, I purchased this awesome mask. Talk about score for first time being the charm. I also got Kiehl’s Since 1851 Breakout Control Targeted Acne Spot Treatment.Now, when I feel that tiny hurtful bump, I apply this mask. I kid you not, in days, it is gone and my skin is clear. It’s not drying either which I HATE with clay masks. I like to follow up with a moisturizing mask. I then usually put on Kiehl’s Since 1851 Breakout Control Targeted Acne Spot Treatment as well if the bump is super angry or dab more of this mask on the spots prior to bed.

This will NOT disappoint! I have very difficult skin (sensitive, oily/combination, larger pore size and hormonal acne with texture and redness) - this mask is the ONLY clay-based mask that soothes my skin, keeps acne at bay, and visibly shrinks my t-zone pores in 1 use. I especially love using the week before my period to get a head start at fighting any increased oil production. Life-saving product, i’m on my 5th tub maybe? 1 jar lasts me about 5-6 months (i use this once a week maybe) it can be A BIT drying if you’re using it a few times a week (i started breaking out when i did that). 100% WOULD RECOMMEND.

I love this mask!! I’m a face mask junkie, I’ve tried sooo many, and this is definitely my favorite. It keeps my skin clear! I still have acne scars (which I’m using vitamin c for) but I use this to ensure I don’t break out. I haven’t broken out since I started using it and usually I break out during my period and one other time during the month. I started using it once a week for the first 3 weeks and then I started using it every other 2 Days. It doesn’t completely dry my skin out by I do recommend following with a moisturizer. I usually leave on for 30 minutes. Highly recommended for oily acne prone skin!

I love this stuff! I use it once a week due to my combination skin. (I’m oily in my t zone but I’m dry because of my work place) For my oily parts, I really feel like it does a good job cleaning my pores and leaves me feeling fresh. Again because of how my skin is I am left feeling dry afterwards, but I just use a moisturizer. I will definitely repurchase.

I have always suffered from large, clogged pores- particularly on my nose and in the cheek area surrounding it. I am a skin care snob and have found something to address most of my concerns but was still largely left disappointed when it came to products that could clear out my pores. Serums, masks, strips, tools, facials- nothing seemed to do the trick. I was browsing on Sephora last night looking for some masks to clear these bad boys out when I came across this with all its great reviews. I remembered having received a sample of this mask a while back and ran to my sample drawer (are you even a Rouge if you don’t have a sample drawer?) to see if I could find it. Spoiler alert: I did. I tried it out this morning and as soon as I wiped it off I noticed an IMMEDIATE change in my pores, especially in the cheek area. I wouldn’t say they are smaller (pores can’t actually shrink, they can just appear smaller), but DEFINITELY cleaner. Like black heads, where did you go? Gunk, gone. MAG.NIF.I.CENT. I’m going to hold off on ordering the full size until after I finish my sample because I still have quite a bit left and have already received two Sephora shipments this week (I don’t want the mailman thinking I have a problem). But this is a definite MUST buy for anyone with clogged pores.
