« felt like wax was on my face »

I absolutely am in love with La Mer, but this one is a bit odd. It felt nice when I put it on. I left it on for the amount of time recommended. Then tried to wipe off the excess. And that was the weird part. It felt stuck on my face. I even splashed water and the water repelled off like rainex!! It felt like I had wax on my face. I then read the ingredient list and it said dimethicone multiple times at the top of the list and thought omg! Dimethicone is a silcone(wax). Which can coat skin and hair and trap bacteria. Which I guess can also hold moisture too but I really felt the wax on my face. Water was beading off. I washed my face with a cleanser to get it off and felt a small amount of residue still left on my skin. I’m not sure I would pay $170 for high amount of dimethicone in my skincare that can trap bacteria. None of the other products have that ingredient. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Every other product is remarkable! And my favorite. But I’m just not sure about this one.

Definitely an investment product, but it lasts so long. Just like the other La Mer products. I purchased in April, and I am not running low yet. Tip: I use it as a serum and leave it on. I never rinse it off until I wash my face again. I double cleanse twice a day.

When I got lazy, instead of applying all the toners, serum and moisturizer, I simply put this mask on instead, I slept with it on, and the next morning, you’ll notify a much more smoother and just ideal skin! It’s a little pricy I would say. Waiting the Nov sale in sephora to stock up this mask again!

« HARD NO. »

I’m a skincare junkie and figured I’d see if this lived up to the hype. Yeah no. Don’t waste your money. There are so many other products that blow this out of the water for WAY less money. I’d pay $300 for a product if it worked, but this literally did nothing.

« Expensive but so worth every penny! »

I received a sample of this a couple of years ago and with just one use my skin was transformed. I immediately went out and purchased the full size. You can use it as a 20-minute mask, or you can wear it overnight under the La Mer face cream and wake up to glowing soft, supple skin. This line does come with a lot of celebrity hype, but with good reason. It seriously works!

« Truly Miraculous »

For a very long time, I wanted to try at least one part of the LaMer skin care line but the price always held me back. I decided to splurge on this mask & I’m SO glad that I did! I have fair combination skin, issues with fine lines, redness, dullness & pores. The first time I used this product, I saw a massive difference! My skin actually glowed, the fine lines seemed to disappear along with my larger pores & the redness was barely there. I had never used a mask & seen such dramatic results as I have with LaMer. I swear it took 15 years off of my skin’s appearance! I’ve tried Perricone, Dr. Brandt, Philosophy, etc. and nothing gave me these results. I will never be without this anymore & I hope to at least integrate the cleanser, serum & moisturizer into my skincare regimen. A little goes a long way with LaMer & it might be pricey, but it’s worth every single penny.

This mask is expensive but worth the money! It smells amazing and really makes my skin feel incredible. It makes your skin plump and so soft after using. I don’t even wipe mine off after the 8 minutes is up. Terrific Product.

I’d been curious about this - so a Sephora employee dug out a a deluxe sample for me. It was love at first application. It sunk right in —and brought my skin back to life - like I am perfectly hydrated from water consumption. I use this at night over stronger treatments or alone. I also pop this on when I’ve got a touch of a hangover or just got off a plane and my skin is dry and cranky. I’ve never wiped this off as directed — it sinks in so quickly - I just let the miracle broth work it’s magic. I finally splurged for the full size during the Rouge sale.

I bought this from the La Mer website but I came on here just to write a review. I cant believe how amazing this stuff is! Its magic in a tube. I have really bad textured acne prone skin and this stuff has turned my skin around! My scars are fading and my skin is glowing. My pores are smaller and my skin looks smoother. Ive been wearing this everyday for a week now, sometimes twice a day and the difference is incredible. Definitely going to repurchase! I highly recommend to anyone with troubled skin!

If you can afford the price, get it. It is a luxurious world-class product. I think its a good investment.

holy grail product for my acne-prone, sensitive, combination skin. eliminates dry patches, redness, irritation, scarring. this has been like the healing version of accutane for my skin. i really hope they figure out whatever’s wrong with their missing ingredient soon so this goes back into production without being reformulated.

« Not worth the price »

Not a terrible product, but definitely not worth the price. I have normal skin, a bit sensitive but no acne. I work long hours in an office so my skin is often dehydrated and tired, especially this time of year. I have a pretty extensive skin care regime so this may be beneficial for someone who is not using many other hydrating products. I have been using it 4 days a week for the past month and I have not seen any difference in my skin.

If I could give this product a 0 I would. It is way overpriced for something that does nothing but make your face look puffy. So disappointed in Sephora for not allowing me to return such an expensive product!
