PHAT Glow Facial Mask

I had severe acne after using a product that didn’t suit my skin. After I stopped using the product, the acne was gone but the marks were there. The marks were so bad that I couldn’t go outside without concealing it. I tried so many DIY masks to lighten the marks, but nothing seemed to work. Then I received this Oleihenriksen PHAT glow facial mask from Influenster as a complimentary gift for testing purposes. Trust me when I say my acne marks are gone by atleast 80% after using it only a few times. It says apply once or twice a week, but honestly I used it every alternate days just on my acne marks. It gently exfoliated my skin to fade the acne marks. I absolutely love this product.

Im so happy I didn’t have to pay for this as I received it for testing purposes. Why you may ask? Oh it’s because this does absolutely nothing. Nothing. Other reviewers are saying it made their skin feel soft, but you could also put wet dirt on your face for 15 minutes and that would probably work too if skin softness is your concern. This feeling probably only lasts for the 5 minutes after taking off. I think the other reviewers are just praising it because of the obvious bias from getting something for free. This is not worth $60. I like the concept, and the packaging is cute but that’s also like the minimum requirement to be on Sephora so I hardly count that as a winning point.

OH typically has products that do exactly what they’re marketed to do, but often they include unnecessary ingredients that can be problematic. The product contains some good ingredients like chia seed oil, glycerin, liquorice root extract, betula alba (etc) - but contains unnecessary fragrance (parfum, limonen, citral) as well as citrus fruit extract which can be irritating / sensitizing on the skin. Because of this I don’t think the product is worth the money, and I probably won’t continue use.That being said you may enjoy the combination of ingredients in this product if you don’t have sensitive skin or don’t find that these things irritating. I received this product for free for testing purposes from Influenster which in no way has influenced my opinion :)

I was so excited to try this facial. The beautiful pink clay transforms into a white mask as the product dries, and it smells delicious. However, this mask was not suitable for my dry, sensitive skin. This mask left my skin feeling sunburnt after I rinsed it away, and this redness stayed in my skin for several hours. It did reduce my pores, but overall, I would not recommend it if your skin is sensitive like mine! I received the mask complimentary from Influenster.

Oh my goodness this new PHAT product by Ole Henrikson for one smells sooooo good! I LOVE the smell of birch and just by pumping the cream out I can smell the botanical products in this! Packaging: With first getting the package I can say they did a great job with the package and an even better job with the bottle! I love the pump method! It really helps save product from spilling over! It’s quick and easy also!Clear instructions: Literally just massage the product into your face, wait 15 minutes, wash and then you’re ready for your day- whether it means you can go right into putting on a full face of makeup or leave your skin bare.Final thoughts: I liked how this product didn’t get extremely drying as others masks do. I have extremely dry skin that flakes so my first thoughts when putting on the mask was, “please don’t dry my skin out even more”...... waited 20 min and washed my face aaaaanddddd oh my gosh I wasn’t dry! My face felt nice and supple and plump. Didn’t see much of the glow that the packaging says but also, I’ve only tried it on once! I don’t feel like it did anything to tighten my skin but I’m just happy it didn’t dry me out nor did my sensitive skin breakout! That’s a huge win for me! I have been looking for something to use as I have fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead. After using this product just a few times I noticed a decrease in the fine line, brighter skin, softer skin, less oil, smaller pores and less break outs! The mask feels great on your skin, it doesn’t feel to heavy and the color changing property in it is awesome! Another thing I loved was how easy it was to wipe off of my face and I didn’t feel any residue on my skin after like some other masks! Definitely would recommend !

« Good for maintenance »

Just as the name implies, “phat“ is exactly what it is, a larger molecule acid in the form of PHA’s versus AHA, BHA, or lactic acid, all of which are a smaller molecule & penetrate deeper therefore, work better. I’m a DE loyalist & prefer Sukari Baby Facial to this product, however; this glow facial is great for in between my weekly DE baby facial as more of a maintenance rather than the deep exfoliation I get with Drunk Elephant. If you’re looking for a maintenance product this is it, but for a true deep chemical exfoliation, go with DE Sukari Baby Facial.

Okay, so, if you’ve ever been subscribed to boxycharm, you know that every other month you can shop their overstock for like huge discounts, and I was browsing what they had to offer, and this was available for about $10 - and I knew this was a good brand, so I went to sephora’s site to check out the reviews. Obviously, after seeing such good reviews, I said what the heck, for such a good price I’ll get it and try it. Ended up trying it a couple hours ago and oh my LORD, I’m big on exfoliating as part of my skincare routine and yet I’ve never had anything like this. I’ve used the Ordinary’s peeling solution every once in a while for the past year or so whenever I feel like I need extra exfoliation or I’m breaking out, and I think this one is honestly superior. It didn’t leave me feeling excessively dry, my skin wasn’t red at all afterwards, and it was just super easy to use. I used to use Sunday Riley’s Good Genes before I determined that it was too expensive to keep using every night and repurchasing, and honestly, the results I saw immediately upon washing this mask off were similar to those I saw after weeks of using the Good Genes treatment nightly - meaning this is obviously a LOT more financially attainable, given the fact that this mask is meant to be used once or twice a week. Seriously, SO glad I decided to take a chance on this - I looked in the mirror after rinsing it off, and thought OMG, I look so healthy, I need to write a review!! People need to know about this!!

as a sephora employee i have tried so many products! this product showed dramatic results right after. i have deep acne scars that havent diminished in 3 years and this truly made a difference

« leave on for 30 mins if you find it isn't working »

The first time I tried this I was unimpressed. I had a deluxe sample and almost threw it out. As someone who regularly uses all kinds of acids and exfoliants, this didn’t seem to do anything. However I read through the reviews and saw one that said to leave on for 30 mins, not 15. That makesthe difference for me, and it is helping clear the congested pores and texture. I bought the full size and it is now part of a totally revamped acne routine that has really helped (Tarte Vitamin C and Knockout as well as some Eminence products and salicylic acid). I use this 2 or 3x a week.

It almost felt like I got a sunburn on my face from this product. I really wanted to love this but my skin is just way too sensitive for this product.

So, I live in Alberta Canada, where it gets extremely cold and in the winter I have suuuper dry skin with rough patches all over which is no bueno. In the summer, however, my skin is not bad. The first time I tried this was in the summer and I didn’t find it made much of a difference. Today I tried it again (it’s -20 outside and my skin is in full winter mode) and my goodness I was not disappointed.. noticed a huge difference afterwards! My skin felt baby soft and the rough patches on my cheeks and forehead are gone. I normally have to work extremely hard to get my skin feeling like this. I’m hooked and will be using this regularly going forward. $66 is a lot for a face mask but if you struggle with really dry skin like I do, its definitely worth it.

If you’re looking for a quick skin pick me up prep before my makeup I woke up like this skin...say no more, fam! This powerful facial in a bottle even works a dream on sensitive skin (thank you PHAs!) be sure to continuously rub it in until it turns white then set it and forget it! 15m later GLASS SKIN!

« Not bad, not my favorite »

I like the idea of colour changing product, however it added a bit of pressure I wasn’t sure about; it was hard to tell if the product has lightened enough or if I had massaged it in enough to properly activate it. It also seemed to disappear as I wore it, likely absorbing into my skin, however this isn’t what I’d expect from a face mask. Overall afterwards my skin felt clean and fresh, but I had taken before and after photos and found no significant change in the appearance of my skin.

So received this product complimentary for testing purposes, Over the summer months my skin gets super oily! I can honestly say that within one use I instantly noticed a difference with my pores being minimized, also how soft and smooth my skin felt afterwards ! I love how after massaging in this cream, it turn colors to let you know it’s been activated . So you know it’s working !
