my skin is INSANELY dry but also tends to have clogged pores & blackheads, PLUS hormonal custic acne (a great combination). Ive tried everything from glamglow to aztec clay and all they do is dry me out even more w/o making any difference on my pores. This mask significantly reduced the size of my pores, destroyed any blackheads i had, and shrunk & calmed my larger zits, ALL without dehydrating my skin- i used a light moisturizer after & my skin was GLOWING the next day. It’s also a good price and a TON of product. It does smell super strongly of honey but that doesn’t bother me, plus it looks iridescently bronzey-green while on & doesn’t get uncomfortably tight as it dries. Its PHENOMENAL.

« Nice texture but too many fragrant essential oils »

I like the concept of this mask, but the execution seems to leave something to be desired. At first glance, it seems like charcoal and honey would be nice together. Charcoal being nice at reducing oiliness, and honey to counteract that effect and add a bit of hydration/soothing. The texture is pretty good in this regard - it’s not chalky from the charcoal, and is actually pretty smooth. It doesn’t dry down too much so that it becomes impossible to remove.Unfortunately, it misses the mark on scent. It doesn’t really smell like honey, more like a strange floral-citrusy smell that is just too strong. There are just way too many potentially irritating essential oils added in this, even ones that I rarely see in cosmetics like spearmint, clove, and wintergreen. This, with limonene, linalool, eugenol, and citral, and no wonder my skin was left irritated after using it.So, while it has a nice texture and works alright, it just goes way too hard with essential oils and smells very unpleasant.

I have extremely dry skin. I drink at least a gallon of water a day, live in super-humid Houston, TX and go through lotion like it’s my job. I love a good, deep pore cleanse on my face but I hate to be left feeling dry. I feel like I’ve finally found a mask that accomplishes what I want. I was traveling the first time I tried the mask (nothing like a hotel room to yourself to relax) so I didn’t have my face steamer but I took a hot shower and let the place get good and steamy. The mask goes on like softened butter; the color looks like some custom auto paint job. I hung out with my feet up and read a book (uninterrupted!) while letting it dry. I may have let it dry “too long“ but this isn’t one of those products that HAS to be removed at a certain viscosity (for lack of a better word). It wiped off easily with a warm wash cloth and my skin was GLOWING afterward. I was in Las Vegas (i.e. the opposite humidity of Houston) and actually had people tell me my complexion was glowing the next day. This is a permanent addition to my tool box. This mask really is the perfect balance. It has all the benefits of a charcoal mask without drying your skin out! If you have combination or dry skin, or find that most acne treatment masks leave your skin too dry/stripped definitely give this one a try. For reference, I have sensitive combo skin, which is prone to redness, clogged pores, and acne. Most of my mask arsenal revolves around acne which often times leaves my skin more than a little dehydrated. This mask does not dry out my skin at all! If you are familiar with Origins Clear Improvements Active Charcoal mask, this one dries in the same manner (almost like a layer of paint or Elmer’s glue dried on your face, not crumbly like a clay mask) and smells faintly of honey which I love. The mask applies smoothly and a little goes a long way, it is not a mask you need a thick layer of. Upon rinsing the mask off (roughly 15-20 minutes for me) my skin is left soothed and even a little plump! I really love that it doesn’t make my healing acne blemishes flakey After about two weeks of using this my blemishes are healing faster and my skin is staying more clear! I highly recommend.

« Great for breakout-prone dry skin »

I realized how much I loved this mask after I spent four days on a trip without running water. My dry, sensitive skin freaked out from my very simplified skincare routine combined with monthly breakouts. As soon as I got home, I washed my face and used this mask. The mask does dry similar to a traditional clay mask but feels much less irritating. Immediately after removing, my skin felt softer and my breakouts were less red and less noticeable. The improvement with my breakouts continued over the next few hours. This is my new favorite mask to handle any impurities on my skin.

Hands down one of my favorite masks. took one star off because the smell can be overwhelming, & might irritate very sensitive skin.But I will buy this until I die. I’m 33 & have begun losing elasticity which leads to larger pores which clog more easily& frequently, especially monthly hormonal acne. my skin & is dry combo so it’s been a struggle to find products that keep me clear without stripping my skin barrier.this mask is PERFECT for that. I’ve had just about zero pimples, my blackheads are virtually non-existent & when I wash the mask off my skin does not feel over dry or stripped. i use this consistently 2-3x weekly & the difference is INCREDIBLE. I don’t think my skin has ever been so clear in my life.

Looking at this mask, I thought it was gonna be gooey like honey, but it’s not at all. The consistency is soft and smooth, and it’s SO easy to apply. Also, it smells amazing, with just a little scent of raw honey, not overwhelming at all. It did itch on my face a little, but no burning or stinging whatsoever. It took only 10 min to be fully dry, and I slathered it on pretty thick, and it dried neat with no dripping at all. I did have to use a textured rag to wipe it off, though, because it was on there good! You’d be there an hour wiping it off with your hands! It worked very well, and my skin is super soft to touch, and my pores are much clearer. I have big pores in my nose area, and I’ve included a before and after close up of my nose. It really did make my pores look cleaner and smaller after just 1 use! I’m definitely happy with this mask, and I can’t wait to see the results of a few weeks of uses! Just a note, it wasn’t moisturizing. I don’t tend to have dry skin, but rather, combo skin, so it’s perfect for me. I’d say this has a mattifying effect that would better serve oily or combo skin!

I looove this mask. The color is BEAUTIFUL... like i wish it as ok to wear it out in public because the finish is amazing. My skin looks bright afterward, not sure if it does much for my pores but it does not break me out or cause irritation at all. I agree with other reviewers... it does not make your skin feel dry or tight at all. Im not too crazy about the smell... it isn’t bad just isn’t something I would prefer.

I just want to say- I Never write reviews. Also I am the cheapest person ever. But I wanted to try this mask—because of the reviews. Truly I have never seen such a change in my skin so quickly. I’ve been using this mask for 2 weeks and not only has my skin started to clear up but the texture has improved overall. I have never spent so much on a mask but it is worth every penny. I will be buying again and also checking out more of their products.

BREAKOUT BREAKOUT BREAKOUT. I have combo sensitive skin and have been using this mask twice a week for about a month. I’ve noticed I’ve been having strange breakouts in places I never breakout and it’s very small very read whiteheads in patches. Look more closely at the reviews, and others have experienced the same thing. I love this brand but something in this mask is NOT for everyone. Don’t waste your money.

Love this mask! Feel like my skin feel plump after using it, I love the light smell of honey, it’s not annoying or nagging. My skin feels soft and blackheads appear smaller, but after removing the mask my skin did not feel tight or dry. Usually after purifying masks I feel like i need to use a face oil and the moisturizer immediately. Already used it a few time and hands down, it will be repurchased.

This is easily one of my favourite masks I own. The scent is slightly floral and sweet but still light and the bronze shimmer of the product is super cute! This mask is perfect for a skin detox after wearing makeup or a (surgical) face mask all day. My skin feels really clean and soft after I use it! Definitely recommend that you add this to your mask collection!

It’s okay, I don’t really feel any different after using it. It’s fun to put on and all but I haven’t seen a difference in my skin over a course of 2 months of regular usage.

Best mask ever. I use masks every other day and I like ones from origins, Clinique, Peter Thomas Roth and other luxury brands. Glam glow masks can be a little harsh. THIS MASK IS THE BEST! It detoxes like the Kiehls clay mask but doesn’t dry. It makes my skin glows and smooth like the caudalie detox mask but also kind of seems to even skin tone a little more and helps my products absorb after. My trick is use a hot wet washcloth after washing with a gentle cleanser to open up pores and soften skin, Pat dry very lightly, then use a brush to apply this mask everywhere but lips and eyes, leave on for 20-30 mins as I blow dry my hair, then wipe off with a warm wet washcloth and apply my serums, lotions and makeup!
