« Fantastic Mask for Problem Skin »

I’ve only had this mask for a week and I’m obsessed. I picked it up because it’s one of the cheaper options at Sephora and has great ratings/reviews for the most part. I was also looking for something other than a peroxide or salicylic acid acne product because my skin has become so used to those two treatments, that they’re not quite as effective anymore and I’ve been having bad breakouts recently. This contains zinc oxide and sulfur which are great for acne and a camphor that really helps soothe the skin (think Mario Badescu drying lotion). The only con is that it smells odd, probably because of the sulfur but it’s not a bad smell, just not great either. I noticed after leaving it on my face for about 20 minutes, that it really calmed redness and helped dry up the oil on my face, without actually drying my skin. It’s almost like a lighter clay mask. Any large pimples I had were reduced in inflammation. It won’t magically clear up all of your acne over night, but using it every other night will really help calm the skin and get rid of extra oil and redness that make acne look and spread worse. Solid purchase, great for someone with sensitive skin who needs another alternative to the usual acne fighting ingredients. Really, really love this mask and how quickly you can see results.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this mask is a game-changer. I’ve tried a lot of masks, but this one really does what the description says. Here are some first impressions that have really stuck with me. 1) the mask itself, coming out of the tube, is thick, but not crumbly, and it is smooth without grit. 2) it smells like serious business. this is not a mask that smells like sunshine and flowers when you put it on, with the smell to go down the drain with the mask itself. The smell is reminiscent of Vicks vapo-rub, probably because of the ingredient in common, camphor. 3) it doesn’t fully dry out in 10 minutes, so you wont crumble when you move your face muscles. 4) once I removed the mask with a warm wet washcloth, my skin (acne prone, oily T-zone, dry cheeks) was visibly brightened and evenly moisturized. The mask didn’t strip my face of moisture, but removed the oils and softened the dry parts. It felt tingly for at least an hour afterwards. It felt like I had a facial, but without the blotchyness 5) while the best results come from using it on your whole face, using it for a few isolated areas still works brilliantly. 6) a lot of masks request that you cleanse your face first, but you don’t need to with this one!

I have mild acne, and as a teenager stresses excessively over it. I often go check out Sephora’s new products, and when i saw this mask i was immediately interested in it. After monthes of investigating into this mask i finally purchased it about 3 weeks ago, and i have to say, this is a really great mask.It doesn’t clear all your acne, and no mask, no matter price or brand can do so. It cleans out your pores, prevents new severe breakouts and definitely eases the stress on your skin. What i noticed immediately after the first use, is that it minimized my pores and blackheads, which are quite stubborn. It made my skin so smooth i couldn’t help but feel it for like twenty minutes LOL. What i would suggest for all acne prone skin types is to use the mask right before you go to bed, wash/cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser, remove any makeup and apply the mask so it covers your skin tone. Leave on for 10-15 min, and then apply a benzoyl or salicyd acne spot treatment. Works EXTREMELY well.Good luck! This is truly an amazing mask <3

this stuff doesn’t do much for me as a quick 10-15 minute mask (other than give you a pleasant tingly feeling), but as an overnight spot treatment, it is amazing. just a dab on a blemish overnight, wash it off in the morning, and that sucker is completely dried out. lifesaver! (as long as you don’t sleep with your face smushed in your pillow.)

« 25ml less, but the same price »

The product itself is amazing - great as a mask or spot treatment. But I just re-ordered after not using for a while and then found my old tube. It used to be 100ml and now the newer package is only 75ml, but still the same price. Super disappointed in Origins for not just raising the price, but trying to be sneaky.

I have had this mask less than a week and it came at the perfect time, as I was right in the middle of a horrible breakout. I used this 3 days in a row, took a night off and tonight I am using it as a spot treatment. This is THE best my skin has ever looked and it’s almost completely clear, just a couple of tiny spots that I’m sure will be gone tomorrow ! I never have clear skin, there is ALWAYS something there, but I really think I have found my holy grail mask. * I use this with Soap & Glory Vitamin C Face Wash & Pixi Glow Tonic.

I just bought this mask, because I figured it was time to purchase a mask. My skin has been acting up recently. Lots of pimples around my mouth/chin. Nothing has been helping from various spot treatments to just leaving it alone. After my shower and washing my face, I put this mask on for 20 minutes (10 minutes over the recommended time) and wow. It cleared up my skin so well! I decided to take it a step further and spot apply this treatment to the already reduced pimples overnight. My pimples shrank in size dramatically! I’m so in awed and I would definitely buy again.

I don’t know what happened/who made this executive decision when they redid the packaging, but you get significantly LESS product now. This is my absolute favorite mask for when I’m having a break out, or if my skin is really congested. I’m balling on a budget and waited for the spring sale to stock up on these and needless to say I was very disappointed to see how much smaller/less product you get compared to the original packaging. Also I would like to mention that this is still priced the same from the original 100 mL when now we’re down to 75mL, so I mean...?

My favorite go-to mask for acne-prone skin. I love it at the end of a hot day because its so cool and refreshing. I leave it on more than 20 minutes without problems. It seems very gentle and has only ever made my skin look better. It gives me softer skin with reduced redness and inflammation--blemishes always seem better after using this mask. I use it along with the Origins Clear Improvement mask to manage clogged pores/acne.

I don’t know why people complain about this not hydrating, since that’s not at all what it claims to do. Maybe read the product description before purchasing and then leaving a bad review. It shrinks pimples, soaks up oil and feels cool and tingly on my skin. Very refreshing. I also use it as a spot treatment before bed. Will repurchase.

« Worth every penny! »

I will preface by saying I almost never bother reviewing products. I’m 28 and have now had acne for pretty much 17 years straight ...excluding the 6 months of clear skin post-accutane but do not want to poison myself again, kthxbye. I literally have half of my bathroom cabinet full of half-used potential “miracle products“ that I moved on from when I found they never lived up to their claims. This mask however? I literally squeezed the tube until I couldn’t anymore and then proceeded to cut it open to access the remnants (then stored it in an airtight ziplock since there was another mask’s worth in there after). I’m about to recycle this cut up mess of a tube now and then permanently tattoo the name of this mask in my brain to buy again later once I work through the dud products in my stash...hate being wasteful. Definitely coming back when I can. This stuff is amazing for those days where the acne has just ramped up so much that I feel overwhelmed. I use this and know that my skin will be calmer and sart clearing up the very next day.

I originally used this product all over the face and leave on for 10 minutes as instructed. However after doing that for two weeks and not seeing any improvement, I decided to use this as a spot treatment overnight and boy do those pimples go down!! Definitely recommend as a spot treatment on pimples.

I’ve been looking for a spot treatment for a while. I have hormonal acne so we all know not much can be done at times when flareups happen. I have combination skin (but in the winter i do get dry) overall i like to treat my skin with sensitive type products. This product will work well with people who do have sensitive skin. The good thing about this is that even though with some spots it takes a few days to clear up it will definitely calm it down if you have a lot. It definitely gets rid of those overnight little whiteheads that just appear in the morning in just a day. I used kate sommervilles sulfur spot treatment and didnt like it- that made my skin really dry and irritated. So far I’m going to stick with this. I bought mine a couple months ago so this is def worth the money and will last you a while depending on how much you use it. I use it every other night after cleaning my face. It really helps with the times you feel that there is a pimple coming up- def put this one and it won’t turn into a full on spot.

I have mild rosacea that tends to show up in small red bumps along my jawline. I got a sample of this mask and I was surprised at how well it worked with my rosacea! I decided to buy the full size tube and I am very pleased with the results. I use it once or twice a week. I only apply a thin layer and it really helps to calm and soothe the outbreaks, I am 55 years old and this mask does not overdry my mature skin. If you are younger and need the drying effect, perhaps applying a thicker layer of the mask would help.

I am in my early 20s with combination skin (oily Tzone) with acne-prone skin. No matter what age or complexion, if you have acne YOU NEED THIS. It is amazing as a spot treatment if you’ve got a couple spots, but also is very effective as an all-over mask. Some reviewers have not liked the camphor smell, however, I thought it reminded me of a spa. Plus, the smell does not really linger once you wash it off. So if it bothers you, you’ll only have to bear with it for 10 minutes!
