Let me start by saying two things: I’m 50 years old and I always leave a mask on longer than they say to.I’m really starting to see the benefits of masks for my aging completion. And this one really surprised me! I hated it going on, very gooey and had to apply a lot, so I had my doubts at first.But!!!!I put this on AFTER I did the Irish Moor Mud mask, for 20min. Then I put the Gold mask on for 45 minutes(based on another review). It washed off like a soothing thick creamy lotion once I added warm water. That was really nice.My face was soft after washing it off. Not dry or tacky at all. I followed with my usual nighttime moisturizing routine.The results in the morning were shocking! My face looked incredible!!! I woke up looking fresh and prepped, like I had gotten up in the middle of the night & put on a sheer nude moisturizer or something. NOT my usual swollen and blotchy self. I’d even slept bad all night, but you couldn’t tell it on my face.I’m still stunned at how I looked. I can only imagine how much this may help my face over time! I know this is costly but using it once or twice a week could well be worth the splurge, especially if you’re a little older like me and have skin you truly need to pamper.

I’ve used this mask now 4 times. I feel that this mask may moisturize my skin a little bit. But is it worth the price? No. I personally can picture this mask being worth about $15 for the hydration I get from it. My personal opinion is that a drugstore item can do just as good.It’s nice to say that you are using 24k Gold, but it’s not worth the price.

I put this on and run my NuFace fascial toner over the top! I’d been using aloe instead of the NF brand of conducting gel that comes with the device. This is sooo much better than either products. Used in conjunction, the cobo is genius . Wish I’d have thought of it earlier. Gold is one of the worlds most conductive elements, so hey, a twofer! Not to overly toot my own ingenuity, but “toot-toot“. Ladies over 40, heads up, these together, brilliant!

I bought this from the store and once I used it I was absolutely in love! The thick texture really has an “elegance“ about it that should be noted. I noticed some said it was “thick and slimy“ but I’ve paid $200 for a facial with incredible results with the same results as this product! I’d leave it in while doing stuff around the house 30-45 minutes I really don’t think you will regret the purchase at all

I was not “wowed“ by this mask as much as I was anticipating. I bought it in a sample pack along with the other 5 PTR face masks and was looking forward to this one the most. I’ve used it a few times and although it does make my skin feel refreshed and soft, it did not firm or lift as it states it will. I had my friend try some and she was also disappointed by the mask. Personally, I think the PTR Rose Stem Cell mask is much better for firming and anti-aging, I’ve seen real results with that mask!

I am a little disappointed by this product. I used it 5 times already for the past three weeks, I am not seeing anything different. I will keep using it since I paid a good amount of money, but will not buy it again.

Leave on for 10-15 minutes minimal result. Sleep in this mask and you’ll have radiating skin the next morning.

I used this before and noticed that it left my face soft but that’s pretty much it. I then I used it AFTER cleansing, exfoliation, an AH+BH peel and mud mask for maximum absorption, I noticed a hug difference in my skin (face and neck) as far as fine lines and deep wrinkles. Usually treatments dry out my face but when combined with this it is heaven. I think people maybe have a hard time with the price because it takes long term use to see results, but if your prep your skin properly you can see improvement almost immediately after. I personally leave it on for an hour or 2 and WIPE it off with wet paper towel as opposed to rinsing it. I feel it leaves some behind and it doesn’t irritate my skin, just softens and moisturizes, my face glows after using. I’ve yet to buy the full-size, I got mine with a mask kit a year ago and it still has lasted since you don’t need much.

I received this as a gift. It doesn’t do anything for your skin. I’ve been using it three times a week for about two months now. It’s a scam. It’s also basically impossible to wash off your skin. If I could rate this product zero stars, I would.

« Good mask with a few caveats »

Ok, such a sad rating for this mask. And it’s a good one, but here’s some pointers. Don’t buy it by itself. There’s an amazing mask set by PTR. Buy that. This mask works best if you prep your skin first by opening up pores and such. The pumpkin enzyme is my favorite to use before this, but I think anything like that would work. And I like to keep it on an hour or longer after using an enzyme treatment. It’s a process and it takes time, but when I have the luxury of time or an event this is what I reach for. My skin looks amazing afterward, but only if if I prep the skin and leave on for awhile. Is the full size worth the price? Nope. Not in my opinion, but the set sold? Absolutely. And the amount in the value set is perfect for trying it out.

This is one of my favorite masks and I am surprised to find it is not more highly rated. I use it faithfully once a week and any other time I want extra radiant skin. The secret is to exfoliate first and I also leave it on much longer than the recommended time. Because it has a silky texture and isn’t drying I just smooth it on and then go about my day (30-40 minutes, maybe?)

I originally purchased this as part of the Mask-o-Holic set of 5 (which is a great and affordable way to try most of the PTR masks all at once). While I wouldnt say that it “lifts“ my face per se, my skin looks a bit more plumped up afterward. What I definitely noticed was a huge reduction in the redness on my cheeks and dark circles under my eyes. It is one of the more moisturizing masks in the line so I use it when my skin needs a drink, like when I’m hitting the retinol and aha/bha heavily. I do notice some tingling (especially in areas that tend toward excessive redness) but it is nothing I find uncomfortable. Just feels like it is working. :))Also, some people have commented on the texture. It IS a bit like diluted honey but I don’t find it offensive. Cons? The price for sure. It is high enough to keep me from using it daily but as a occasional boost it is doable. Seriously, get the 5 mask kit though. Even the smaller size lasts a long time.

I have a sample of this and used it on my face and neck. The mask irritated my face and caused a few whiteheads to pop up as well as redness and a raw feeling on my skin. Despite that, my face is softer! My neck is not as sensitive as my face, and was actually fine afterwards. I did notice my lines around my neck to soften and look less prominent than prior to use.

This is a fantastic mask that superbly accomplished everything it’s marketed to do: tighten & moisturize & give a luminescent glow. I wasn’t even shopping for this--I was getting a Caudalie item (which is next to the Rothstuff) & noticed this unusual gold product. I read what I liked & took home a sample & will never be without this fab item again. I’ve been using 2x/week on my ridiculously sensitive skin & have had no breakouts. Personally, I use it before a night out or in the morning for an important meeting b/c it makes me look so refreshed.
