I’ll be honest, I bought this because it smelled amazing and was an exfoliant. I bought it without reading any reviews. But this mask is fantastic. I used it after I cleansed. It has a nice texture to it and felt nice on the skin. It burned a bit at first which didn’t surprise me as my skin is sensitive to physical exfoliants. The burning quit after about a minute and I left the mask on another 6 or 7 minutes. When I rinsed my face I fully expected to be beet red due to my sensitivity (that is normal for me after using an exfoliant) but much to my surprise my redness was very minimal, my face was brighter, and super smooth. I am very impressed with this product. And it’s a bonus that you smell like a pumpkin pie after using it!

Aluminum oxide crystals to exfoliate?! aluminum is a NEUROTOXIN! WOW. These crystals should be removed immediately and replaced with sugar for the physical exfoliating purpose. It would not only be a natural alternative and complimentary to the pumpkin fragrance... but it would then be SAFE for human use. Shame on Peter Thomas Roth for this.

I put off buying this product for a good couple of months because I have terribly acne prone skin and was afraid of what this might do to my face. What a mistake that was. This is by far one of the most amazing skincare products I’ve ever used. I’m a big fan of this brand to begin with, but wow did they ever knock it out of the park with this one! I saw an immediate difference in my skin tone after only the first use. No negative side effects whatsoever. My skin literally glows! My complexion is clear, bright, and my face is super soft. As others have mentioned, the smell of this mask is delicious. It really smells edible! A little bit of this goes a long way, so honestly the price point is more than fair. I didn’t experience any of the burning others have mentioned, and I have insanely sensitive skin. The mask did tingle a bit, but nothing more. Do yourself a favour and purchase this immediately. You won’t be sorry you did!

I have..had mildly textured skin and I have tried various AHA products pixi glow tonic, the Ordinary glycolic toner, nip and fab extreme glycolic pads, and paula’s choice AHA and BHA liquids. Nothing compares to this mask! I woke up in the morning and 90% of my texture was gone. Get This Now!!! The smell is really strong if you don’t like pumpkin spice. But besides that A+ from me.

« Sensitive dry skin and I love it »

I am a definite newbie and skeptic of skin care products other than gentle cleansers and moisturizer. This product caught my eye in the store and was recommended by the sales rep. The smell was natural and divine so I decided it would be a pampering item even if it did nothing for my skin...I used it once and it burned a bit so I was freaked out and washed it off immediately. I thought it was too much for my sensitive skin.Not willing to give up on this luscious product yet, I came on here and read the reviews to power through the initial burn for a big payoff. I did that the second time, leaving it on for a whole 10 mins. The initial burn mellowed into a nice warm tingle that definitely was doing something...Holy. Amazing. Batman!This skeptic is a believer. It turned my skin from feeling clogged and stagnant to fresh, smooth, and new feeling. Unlike other masks I’ve tried, I also felt moisturized after, and not utterly stripped of all my good oils.The science behind all Peter’s stuff is pretty sound, also.Never stop making this, please! I use it every Sunday night to start the week right!

This burned my skin made it instantly red, I really wanted to love this. Skin looked irritated for days. I would try a sample first if you have sensitive skin (I could have been allergic to something in the formula)

Pumpkin Enzyme is truly amazing, I’m wearing it right now! It does everything it claims to, lasts forever but I keep a backup too, that’s how good it is. For reference I’m 70 years young, sometimes mistaken for 50-something and people compliment me on my glowing skin, thanks PTR! Although I have sensitive normal to dry skin, I have never experienced an adverse reaction but I am accustomed to all acids, everyone is different. I also don’t discern much of a scent, maybe a bit of pumpkin spice but I have candles burning! Now I’ve had it on for maybe 20 minutes and feel a slight tingling effect, better wash off! Make sure to moisturize hardcore after as well and wear sunscreen, of course. Highly recommend this product, at 70 years young it’s keeping me looking like I’m in love! It’s pure self-care, yum! #70&Smokin’

Wow! This mask is not for the timid! Very potent, it really works and you can feel the burn. If you’ve never used this one, I’d start out slow at first and not go the full time. You may experience redness. If your skin is really sensitive this could be an issue for you. A thin layer goes a long way, so even though it’s pricey, it is a good value for the jar size. I love this mask! It smells great and is very effective at exfoliating and renewing my skin. I will keep buying this one!

« Pumpkin spice your face! »

I was SO excited when i first used this! it smells like pumpkin spice bread so i literally felt like i was pumpkin spicing my face! it left my skin super soft and glowy but it does tingle a bit so if thats not your thing beware but it doesn’t bother me.

This stuff is the best mask I’ve ever used. After buying a ton of drug store products I tried the sample of this and saw slight results after a week! I went back and bought the full size and it cleared up all the dark marks on my forehead within 6 weeks. It tingles slightly so I had to build my way up to using it a couple times a week but it’s worth every penny.

I bought this with the 3-mask sample set. I have pale, sensitive, combo skin that gets SUPER dry in the winter. Last week I had a “goatee“ of dry, flaky skin all around my mouth and nose even thought I use BB Cleansing Balm, Dr. J+ Ceramidin liquid and cream AND BB Extra Soothing balm. I washed my makeup off gently then put a thin film of the mask all over. There was a slight stinging at first, but that subsided after about a minute. I left it on for 5, then rinsed with warm water. After that, I put the Cucumber Mask from the set on and left that for about 10 minutes, rinsed it with warm water, and put FAB repair cream on my face. This mask worked LIKE A CHARM! Not only did it get rid of the dry patches, it smoothed my entire face, and felt soft AND moisturized afterward. 5 days later and not a single flake in site. I could not get ANY other product to give me these results. This is desert-island level effective!

I can honestly say that this stuff is amazing. I have a lot of dark spots from acne scarring and I can say that this stuff has already helped tip lighten them after just 3 uses. This is the 2nd peel I’ve tried from Sephora. The first was the korres rose which did nothing for me. This stuff is worth the price

« Amazing Mask! »

I got a sample of this mask originally and was unsure about the product because I have extremely sensitive skin and bad acne. When I tried the product it burned a lot and I was nervous that it would break me out but I was pleasantly surprised! I just bought the full sized and I love!!!! It burns still but once I rinse it off it is extremely soothing and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed. It has even cleared up some of my acne (which is very hard to do!) Overall this mask is worth the money and will last a long time!
