« Average mask, High Price Tag »

This was the most average mud exfoliating mask I’ve ever used. It isn’t a bad mask, but at 70 dollars I expected a bit better. Applies and rinsed off after about 4 minutes. Did absorb extra oil which was nice. Did a bit of surface level exfoliation which was nice. The scent is light which is nice.

« extreme breakouts- sensitive / acne prone skin »

I bought this mask because of all the amazing reviews despite it being extremely pricey! I’m sure it does work for a lot of people but it has caused me to have the worst skin of my life ! I’m always skeptical of people saying products cause breakouts because it could just be a coincidence that a breakout happens around the time of starting a new product. When I used this the first time within the next day every inch of my face was covered in tiny blemishes. I really wanted it to not be the mask so I waited a few weeks and tried again -the same thing happened ! I still wanted to give it a try to I used it the other day and my skin has never looked worse. I made sure to moisturize after and didn’t leave it on too long ! Just be careful if you have acne prone or sensitive skin and don’t use it right before a big event!

« Not for Eczema Prone Skin »

Let me start by saying, I am a Tatcha believer but this product did not work for me at all! I have eczema prone skin and this triggered the worst flare up for me, even my chest had a reaction when I washed this off in the shower. I used the mask once and the reaction was immediate. I would try a sample first if possible since this mask is on the pricier end.

Stay away if you have sensitive skin!!! Holy makeup gurus. Left this mask on for three minutes and washed it off with cool water per instructions and I looked like a boiled lobster. My poor cheeks were soooo red and irritated. Also it takes a lot of work to spread a thin layer because the mask has an incredibly thick texture. It took a couple rinses to come off. Skip it!!! Worth $70 bucks? Only if they slip you $65 dollars with each purchase.

I have tried many many masks. This is by far the best mask I’ve ever used. The results are pretty much instant (after the product is washed off). Skin looks even, smooth, and healthy. Pores are visibly smaller too. It’s handy if you’re crunched for time - doesn’t need to stay on long. Buy this, you will not regret it.

I have used many different clay masks over the years and this ranks at the top. Not surprised because it’s Tatcha - a brand I have come to rely on for exceptionally crafted skincare products - but it’s now in my clay mask rotation alongside GLAMGLOW Supermud and Chanel La Masque Vitamin Anti-Pollution Clay Mask. This is superb, thank you Tatcha! I love the calming, warming sensation which you can feel gently opening pores and cleaning them out. But what I love about this is that it’s not at all stripping like some clay masks I have tried in the past. When you remove it the skin feels soothed and moisturized.

I love the Tatcha rice wash so was really excited to use this product. But was disappointed upon using it. Didn’t find that it did anything for my skin. It had received many excellent reviews..but in checking, only a few of them were from verified users. Definitely not worth it.

« Nice but Overpriced »

I bought this mask with my own money during the Sephora sale. I’ve been using it aggressively with my skincare routine since receiving it in the mail with my order. It’s your standard Tatcha product, so it’s nice, but overpriced. I like that it’s actually moisturising rather than drying for a clay mask. It’s also a quick wear, 3-5 minutes. However, I’ve seen no changes in my skin. For the price, I expected more. I’ll continue to use it until it’s empty, but I won’t repurchase.

This is honestly a really effective, high quality product. I normally don’t like clay masks for myself, just because they tend to be so drying and feel like they do next to nothing for my skin. However, this product is revolutionary, and I don’t say that lightly. It’s a comfortable on the skin, quick and easy to use, and it washes off fairly easily. After just two uses of applying it to my problem areas, my skin looked and felt cleaner and smoother than ever before. And, each time I used it, the next day my skin was significantly less oily than usual. I now use this every two-to-three days, just on my oily acne-prone forehead and nose area and I’ve already noticed a significant difference in my acne. It really pulls all the gunk buried in my skin to the surface and allows the resulting acne to heal properly and at a quicker rate. Afterwards, by skin looks absolutely beautiful and clear and my makeup applies like a dream. It’s a little bit of a splurge to buy, but I will definitely purchase it again when I finish this jar.

« SUPER CLEAN »

It feels like I had a nice cleansing facial; it got warm just like it said and it was a little harder to clean off than other masks I’ve used but the clean feels like a deeper clean. Normally I do anti wrinkle or puffy masks but this had such great reviews I decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. Recommended!

I don’t love this product nearly as much as I wanted to, unfortunately! This left my skin feeling unusually sensitive, even after following the directions to only leave on for a few minutes. I also don’t find the product application process to feel that great either - the mask has a gritty texture. Even though this was gifted by Tatcha to me, it’s a pass for me.

I loved the gentle, warm sensation that I felt upon massaging the mask onto my skin onto my skin. The mask has a light, natural fragrance. What I enjoyed most was how soft and bright my skin looked after using the mask the firsttime. I also noticed that my skin didn’t feel like itrequired much moisturizer afterwards. 10/10 product.this was gifted by tatcha but i will be purchasing itonce this runs out.

Highly overrated and way too expensive for what you get.
