This is a great mask for anyone but dealing with kaolin is especially great for dry and sensitive skin due to silica dioxide being present in the clay. it helps with sebum and impurities on the skin but will not dry/strip the skin. i see a lot of reviews saying they didn’t notice much and that may be because it’s a VERY gentle clay! if you’re used to harsher clay masks, kaolin may feel like it’s not doing much. give it time & do your research, kaolin clay has been used for many different things throughout history and this mask is awesome.

Not only is this mask super affordable, it reduces acne better than any other mask I’ve ever tried!! It shrinks zits in HALF after every use and leaves skin feeling and looking smooth. It’s sheer and works wonders with a light layer, so don’t feel like you have to pack it on. Definitely recommend following it with your moisturizer, but you will love this if you’re looking to manage acne!

I have been faithful to a specific Bentonite Call Mask for YEARS. But recently It has been out of stock and I needed to find something, anything, in between. I had recently be tabling in a lot of The Inkey List products and decided to give the Kaolin Clay Mask as try. Only have been using a week and I love how hydrating it is and how smooth and supple ,y face feels after use. Not drying at all like most clay mask leave you. Not irritating either. Nor is there the hardening of the mask like other clay mask. It nearly absorbs into the skin but you do need to wash off after 10 min and leave skin very hydrated. Would recommend. No breakouts or irritation.

« Great for oily skin types »

Not every product will be perfect and beneficial for everyone. That’s just facts. In my opinion, this product is best suited for oily skin types. Is it a WOW product? nah. I mean it’s not like it’s a $50-$60 product. It’s an extremely affordable product though, and if you have oily skin it’s definitely nice to have on hand. It doesn’t dry down super hard, so you don’t get that “if I move my face at all this stuff is gonna crack and ouch” scenario. It doesn’t strip your skin down and totally dry it out. It isn’t itchy or abrasive. It is very light and spreads nicely. Feels lovely while “drying” and if you have oily skin, it does help by drying up the excess oil in your face. I do happen to have oily/combo skin that likes to get super oily at times and this mask is wonderful to have on hand to control that. So if you have that skin type, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Love everything THE INKEY LIST! This mask really deep cleans you face. Just have a glass of wine and wait 10 mins!

Like other reviewers have said, this product isn’t like a typical kaolin clay mask. It doesn’t dry hard or clump up, it almost feels like a moisturizer. I was worried that I wouldn’t like it, but I actually really do! It’s easy to apply without a lot of tugging on the skin like a regular clay mask, and washes off effortlessly without scrubbing.I do think that a typical kaolin clay mask is more effective, however if you have sensitive skin, aging skin, or are worried about being aggressive with the skin this is a really wonderful option.

I came across this product when researching Kaolin clay and what it does for the skin. Everything it assisted with was right up my alley: Blemishes, acne, oiliness. For the price, I decided it try it. It literally shipped to my house in less than 24 hours. I exfoliate (and now mask) on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is my second time using and here are my takeaways: Very subtle, not harsh or abrasive at all. Does not harden. Is very creamy like. Absorbs easily and feels smooth with washing away the remaining product. Leaves my skin feeling veryyyyy soft and not dry or tight in the least bit. Very pleased! I’ll order two a time to have another on deck!

« effective clay mask at a great price point!! »

i’m not one to hype up a skincare product for “immediate results” but y’all!! i woke up this morning to hormonal acne on my cheeks, and i’ve been dealing with blackheads on my nose. i wish i took a before photo. after using this mask followed by my nightly routine, my complexion looks noticeably smoother and clearer. i have dry/combination skin (more on the dry side bc of tret) and this clay mask didn’t irritate my skin nor dry me out. i have sensitive/reactive skin and did not experience any irritation other than a slight cooling sensation when first applying, which is common for me with masks. i had no redness whatsoever after rinsing off. i will definitely begin using this product weekly as needed!

I did not feel like this mask does much at all. It just kind of sits on top of your skin until you rinse it off with no really noticeable results.

I have pretty oily skin and so many products just make it feel worse right or shortly after using, even Lush Ocean Salt every 2 days isn’t helping anymore. This mask made my face so matte and soft, I’m impressed. It was a great price for an awesome product.

« Gentle clay mask »

This is a creamy clay mask that glides on easily. It doesn’t build that well, but you really don’t need it to which is great. Just apply a thin layer, wait about ten minutes or so, then rinse off. You will know when it dries because it will turn rather translucent. I must mention that it doesn’t dry down uncomfortably, and it is easy to wash off.I bought it because I heard kaolin was a good ingredient, and I appreciated the price. I specifically wanted it to help with my oily areas, and to decrease blackheads. I think it accomplished that in a gentle way. However, for my uses I think this is best for when my skin is feeling dry during the cold months. Now that it’s getting warmer, my skin is getting oilier and I need something more powerful to keep the blackheads at bay. I will hold onto this so it’s in my rotation for the winter months.

I went through a phase where I tried a bunch of INKEY products because of the low price point. I’ve used a lot of clay masks; this isn’t terrible but also there’s nothing really unique about it. I didn’t see any improvements to the oiliness of my skin or to my breakouts (which was my primary reason for trying INKEY products). Not terrible, but I don’t see a reason to buy this again.
