I waited 3 days to write this review to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the cleanser. I have sensitive, reactive rosacea skin and almost every product I try other than First Aid Beauty causes a reaction. I waited so long for Biossance to come out with a cleanser like this! & I am so satisfied with this product. Has not caused a reaction. My skin looks glowy & hydrated. Please try it! You won’t regret it <3

I have super sensitive skin and really loved this face wash. It’s similar to the Moon Juice gel cleanser I’ve tried. I don’t wear a lot of makeup to be fair but it removes my natural makeup well. Sometimes I double cleanse and love it. I’m shocked to see so many negative comments, but I also have incredibly sensitive skin so I can’t use a lot of brands with harsher makeup removal properties. My skin is not dry or flaky when I use this and I didn’t have any residue!

« Great first cleanse and second cleanse »

I bought this as an alternative to using the KS goatsmilk cleanser, and while it’s definitely not comparable, this price point was easier on the bank account. I have Combo/dehydrated skin.This works great as a first morning cleanse (without makeup) and as a good second cleanse after using a cleansing balm.I like that this one doesn’t make my skin feel stripped/tight after using it, and it feels nourished and moisturized.Because of it’s thick nature, the trick is using warm water to wash it off, and really massage and work it. Remember this is a thicker cleanser, it’s not a gel where it washes off in one go. I’ll be keeping this one in my regular routine, and use my KS Goatsmilk for when I am in the mood for extra lush pampering.This is a great cleanser, especially going into the winter months.The scent smells like a fruity hibiscus - so fruity floral.

« Not Worth It »

For starters - make sure you’re using this cleanser correctly. This is more of a first step in a double cleanse, aka it’s meant to be applied to dry skin, rubbed around, add a little water, rub around more, and then rinse off with more water. Then follow up with a second water based cleanser. It has some decent ingredients, but still not the most outstanding. I agree with another person who said you kind of have to rub a bit harder than I’d prefer when first applying this to your face in order to get it to spread. Once you add the water though it spreads easier. I can’t speak for how it removes make up, but I think it does an okay job at removing spf or other impurities as a first step. Honestly though, it’s not really anything special. I much prefer using a cleansing balm, or even a cleansing oil. It also doesn’t get as “milky” as it claims upon adding water. I also think you might need something stronger if you wear heavy make up. Lastly, I feel like this product is way overpriced. I paid $10 for it at Marshalls, but it’s definitely not worth $28. Won’t be repurchasing.

« Nice, but not like the pictures »

This is a great gentle cleaner, it’s softening and isn’t stripping making it great for dry skin. HOWEVER, it looks nothing like the pictures. It’s not that bright pink gel that the pictures make it look like, it’s closer to being clear and has a thicker, more creamy texture than the pictures. I don’t know if I got a weird batch or if it’s truly unlike the images shown, but just know it’s not as pretty or as gel-like as the images.

I feel like the ppl leaving 1 star reviews are not reading the “How To Use” section. You’re supposed to put this cleanser on DRY skin, then massage, THEN wet your finger tips and massage and cleanse. It’s a great first step cleanser or a morning cleanser post gym or any time you need a refresher. This does not strip your skin in any way, perfect for anyone with dry/sensitive skin. I got this at Marshall’s for $12.99 and it’s definitely worth it, but not sure it’s worth the $28!! it’s very nice just like everything else from Biossance! Side note, the color is like a super pale clear version compared to the photos

This removes makeup well, but there’s a problem with the formula. The gel starts to harden 2-3 weeks in and I can’t get it out of the bottle with more than 1/4 left. It’s just a lumpy gel.

This cleanser is the first I’ve ever used that truly works for my sensitive, acne-prone skin (I’ve tried First Aid Beauty among other clean brands). I love that it doesn’t include any of the bad ingredients that would make it foam/lather (so people stop complaining about that lol). My skin has never looked or felt better.

« Good, but not Holy Grail status »

With the way they market this cleanser I didn’t really know if it would be a makeup remover or a cleanser for my double cleanse routine, but I bought it anyway because I usually really love Biossance products.It really is more akin to a balm or an oil cleanser. It doesn’t foams and turn from a Jelly to a slightly (when I say slightly I really mean it, there’s almost no foam) foamy milk with water. While it is not the best I’ve ever used, it is pretty good at removing makeup and sunscreen and leaving the skin feeling cleansed and hydrated. I used it twice in a row, once on dry skin to remove my makeup and a second time on a wet face to cleanse my skin and I liked it. The only thing is that it stung my sensitive eyes and for this I take a star off.I’d recommend this to someone who needs a first cleanse, wants a very hydrating cleanser or needs a cleanser that can take off mineral sunscreens easily.I wouldn’t recommend it to take off mascara since getting it in your eyes hurts a bit or to people who hate feeling like there’s something on their skin after cleansing since it leaves the skin feeling ever so slightly oily.

Holy breakouts. Woke up with a new whitehead every single day I used this (5 days). Realized pretty quickly this was the culprit. Something in here must be comedogenic or it doesn’t cleanse the skill well enough - and I don’t even wear face makeup.

This is a beautiful gentle fun cleanser that you can massage into your face endlessly. It’s just so soothing and leaves you feeling great. However, the color and consistency look absolutely nothing! I repeat nothing like the pictures. It’s a good thing I ended up liking this product because Biossance be shadyyyy with what they are presenting and what the product actually is. But like I said, it’s still really good. Just be honest about what the product is. Is that too much to ask for???

this was a really good jelly cleanser! the only problem is that it didn’t glide so well like I thought over my face. It pulled my skin as I spread it over, and since I’m 30 the least I want to do is cause more tension to the skin. Otherwise, it removed makeup very very well and left my skin so smooth.

I borderline hated this at first. i decided to give this cleanser a try after using the Boscia makeup breakup oil for years. You have to double cleanse with this at night in order to remove your makeup - once on dry skin and a small amount again on your wet face. It removes all of my waterproof mascara and makeup so i do like it for that. it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated afterwards. i removed 1 star because my eyes do sting a bit after, side note i wear contact lenses

I have combo skin, but lately it has been pretty dry. Every cleanser I have been using just does nothing or emphasizes dryness on my face and it feels a bit tight and squeaky, even the ones that are more tailored to dry skin. It also annoys me that I have to buy an oil cleanser and a water cleanser. I am lazy and that is expensive, and I don’t typically like how the oils and balms feel anyways. This jelly cleanser is a holy grail for me because it combines all cleansing steps in one. If I have makeup or SPF, sometimes I might do an extra wash like one would do with a water-based cleanser after an oil cleanse, but I don’t really find that necessary? Something extremely amazing to me is how my skin feels after I cleanse. It feels moisturized, even if I don’t put anything on it. Dry patches gone. It feels like the thirst in my skin has been quenched. I have active acne breakouts and this has helped with the texture and roughness from them, has not exacerbated at all. Removes everything off my face very well. I don’t think this is a cleanser like many others on the market, it is quite unique in that it is an all-in-one cleanser. I love this even more than their aloe gel cleanser. That one has a lemongrass scent to it which I do love, and this one has a very subtle natural rosewater scent. The texture makes it lovely to use and I look forward to washing my face instead of groaning and just grabbing micellar gel when I am exhausted. It goes from the jelly, to the oil, to a really soothing milk. It has everything I need and more. I think this would be awesome for oily skin types as well, as this has quenched my skin with moisture and my T-Zone does not feel overactive as it typically does. I highly recommend this cleanser (I got it from Amazon). I don’t understand the review about this clogging their drain lol. That is absurd. Even in jelly form that is impossible? So.. yeah. I would LOVE to use as a body wash. big bottle, as well! Cruelty free!

Such an amazing texture that’s perfect for that gentle yet effective cleanse. I love to use this for my double cleanse step and it helps to melt away makeup, dirt, and spf. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft, definitely a must!
