Makeup Melting Balm Cleanser

This Balm Cleanser is probably the best cleanser I have used and I have used many. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, actually the same feeling I have after a facial. I would highly recommend this cleanser!

« Impossible to remove »

The idea of creating healthy habits takes 66 days hence, “Community sixty six“ really made me love the brand off the bat; the packaging is informative with a guided amount usage tool too! However, that’s the only positive feedback I have, as all the product formulations are very poor. I feel like they spent a lot of time coming up with a great mission but didn’t spend that same time and/or attention on the formulas themselves. This Melting Balm was extremely STICKY, making it almost impossible to remove (a feature that’s critical for a good balm). If you’re acne prone, steer clear!

I’ve been using this Balm Cleanser to take off my makeup and spf at the end of each day, and I LOVE how hydrating it makes my skin feel. The texture feels wonderful and just melts everything off my face. My favourite balm formula that I’ve tried for sure!

Absolutely love this product!! I just it to remove makeup but also have tried it as a mask and love the glow I have for days after!

this is AMAZING at getting ur makeup off. it doesn’t leave ur skin feeling stripped (as some do). it feels like beeswax, coco butter, and a nice gentle cleanser in the best way possible!

Removes make up so well, leaves my skin so clean and soft - great for double cleansing!

This product is good. It does take off almost all foundation and eye makeup. The only con is that it is super thick and oily, which makes washing it off a task.

I was excited to try this brand, their website boasts glowing reviews as well as accolades from many well established publications. But unfortunately, my experience was anything BUT glowing with this balm. This has to be one of the worst makeup removing balms I have EVER had the displeasure of using. This product was free, but I wish I could return it and be compensated for my experience. I have used makeup removing balms from many other companies, the formula is usually solid then turning liquid/actually melting to help with the removal of makeup. This product according to the back of the bottle indicates it shouldn’t be used on your eyes? That is literally the majority of what makeup I am removing? When you use the product, it indicates you should squeeze a small amount onto your hands and let it warm up (pretty standard) Spreading this on your face, it never gets quite as “melted“ as many other balm removers. So it’s not the most pleasant to work over your face. It takes quite a bit of work to get eye makeup off with this balm. Now, the part that literally made me nervous/unhappy to even try this a second time, washing the balm off of your face. Have you ever had Vaseline or a thick, water barrier like ointment on your hands, where water just doesn’t penetrate? That’s this makeup remover. It claims to rinse easily with warm water. I used warm water, too uncomfortably hot, nothing was getting this off, it felt like a thick, greasy, oily mess on my skin. Like trying to wash Vaseline off of your skin. It was horrible. No amount of washing/scrubbing was getting it off. Is the claim that it is “moisturizing“ and leaving you with a “dewy“ complexion because it looks like you’ve literally smeared ointment all over your face? I had to use a face wash after, and thankfully that actually got the makeup remover off. I don’t know who on earth this product is good for, it’s horrible. I have used it

Melting gel cleanser: I wanted to love this product since I prefer the tube packaging as opposed to tubs for typical cleansing balms but this did not deliver. It tends to separate in the tube and it is hard to mixed back together. It also left my face with what feel like a film residue and I had to wash my face at least twice to remove that feeling. Overall, I would not recommend this product.

Tgis cleansing balm has a very gentle, non-irritating scent. The balm is thick without being too easy. The more tou work it into the skin, the better it works. Thus did a great job removing mascara. It left my skin feelingvsoft and smooth.

I really like this cleansing balm. I do need to do a second cleanse with regular cleanser but thats with most cleansing balms. Really gets my makeup off after a long day.

« Very emollient cleanser »

I received this product complimentary from Influenster to try and share my review. I tend to use a gentle foaming cleanser after using an eye makeup remover. This Community Sixty-six makeup melting balm cleanser is a completely different texture of cleanser so it took a few uses for me to decide if I liked it or not. Initially upon dispensing the cleanser it appears waxy but when adding a bit of water it breaks down a little to make it easier to use. The directions indicate that the product should not be used in eyes, so off the bat I don’t like that. I like to rinse my eye makeup remover off with my facial cleanser. This product does remove foundation from my skin well and feels very hydrating. I found that it did not wash off cleanly from my skin leaving a waxy or emollient residue. In the winter when my skin tends to be dry, I think this residue feeling would be beneficial, but currently it is a hot summer and I don’t like the feeling. For that reason, I stopped using this product. I also noticed that the day after using this product I had a small blemish. I’m old! I don’t break out often! Not sure if it’s just a coincidence or not. Personally, I’m not a fan of this cleansing balm, but some users my like it.

« Very thick »

This is very thick and truly is a balm (sort of like applying chapstick to your face). I had a very hard time washing it off of my face and actually had to use another cleanser to feel like my face was clean. My face did feel very soft afterwards but I don’t think I will be able to continue this as a primary moisturizer. I do have combination / oily skin and this would be better suited for someone with dry skin. For me, I might use it more every now and then especially in the winter when my skin tends to be drier. The smell is not necessarily unpleasant nor pleasant, but I do like the clean ingredients.

It’s work alright, but I can’t over the play dough smell

This is not a great cleanser for me in my opinion. I understand that it is an oil based cleanser, but after using it to wash my face, my face feels grosser and greasier after using it. The greasy residue that lasts on my face after makes me have to use another cleanser I own to wash it again to feel clean. I also don’t think its very effective at taking my makeup off. The smell is ok, not super great, but it’s a cleanser so I didn’t expect too much on that front. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with this product.
