« HG cleanser! »
This is my HG cleanser. I am 40 and have combo skin and get hormonal pimples. This cleanser is strong yet gentle. It is super creamy and soft to the touch yet somehow exfoliates better than any abrasive cleanser I have used before. I have noticed a difference in the texture of my skin and small acne scars have faded with continual use. I have tried other products but keep returning to this cleanser.
« DRYING »
I really wanted to love this cleanser. And maybe it would have been good had I stuck it out...but it was just too much. Resurfacing, YES, my skin was flaking off. It hurt! I haven’t broke out like that in years. I just couldn’t do it. I thought my sensitive skin issues were behind me. This cleanser was just to harsh for me.
« Soft Skin »
Honestly, I was not expecting this cleaner to work so well. It makes my skin feel like a baby’s butt. Soft and smooth. It even helps reduce my sun spots , that started “popping up”. I’ll be purchasing again, sooner then later- I want my back up in hand. Happy Customer.
« You will never buy another Cleanser!!!! »
I’m in love with this product! After using it one time , I saw my skin transform! My skin was brighter, smoother, and lines were less visible! Buy this!!!!
« Harsh but effecctive »
I love this cleanser, but I have to be careful not to use is too frequently or it does irritate my skin. I have fair skin that is pretty sensitive. Every third day, with a gentle cleasner in between, seems to be the best timing for me. I love the way my skin feels after using it, and within a few weeks of regular use I have definitely seen an improvement in skin texture (my skin is smooth and happy), and an improvement in color (not as blotchy and red).
« This is the best thing ever »
I tried this as a sample about a year ago and kept thinking about how awesome it was. I finally just bought it. I use it every morning and absolutely love it. My skin feels brighter and more radiant. I can’t say enough good things about it.
« A- »
My facialist recommended this product to me because my skin was always so congested. Short story: it works. I found it really drying at first (so I only used it once every other day) but now my skin’s adjusted and I use it twice a day. I let it sit on my face slightly longer when my skin’s especially dull, and it does the trick.
« HG since 2013 »
This cleanser takes care of business for mature and acne prone skin. I have PCOS and this takes does what I need to eliminate excess oil and retexturize without stripping away and drying out my skin. I have left and come back to it many times again and again. It it bae!
I was looking for a replacement cleanser since Bobbi Brown discontinued her Extra Repair cleanser which for me was the only cleanser which took away dullness without drying or irritating my mild Rosacea. This one is great and I’m noticing a positive difference in my skin after about two weeks use. I don’t use it every day as I tend to have combination/dry skin, but I’ve been using the Dermalogica Essential Cleasing solution every other day and the combination is great. Combined with the Dermalogica Skin Smoothing cream I think I’ve found the winning combo for mid 40s skin, sensitive, prone to break outs with redness. Combined with Caudalie grape water (my new holy grail) and Bobbi Brown Extra Repair serum my skin is finally calming down and looking youthful and amazing even in winter.
« my HG »
This cleanser is so good! Lots of cleansers say they have acids in them to help chemically exfoliate but you can actually feel the layers this takes off your face every night! I have dry sensitive acne prone skin and it’s very gentle on it and isn’t drying... absolutely love this!
« Need to Shake Up Your Skincare? »
I spent many years happily using Proactive, but as I moved into my 30’s it was just not cutting it anymore. I needed something that would work with my skin and also have an anti-aging benefit. This cleanser definitely fits the bill.I will typically massage this onto my face and neck for 30 seconds or so in the shower and then leave it on as a mini mask while I do my hair conditioner and body scrub. It leaves my face so soft and has definitely helped with the appearance of my fine lines/wrinkles.
« big expectations, little results »
I used the entire bottle and cleansed 1x per day, unfortunately I didn’t see a big difference in texture and experienced more blackheads than normal. I’m usually a big fan of dermalogica...but this one fell flat.
« Great cleanser! »
Has dried out my skin slightly but with a moisturizer isn’t a problem. Using this in the morning, a toner at night, and moisturizer after both, I have clear skin! My hyperpigmentation is almost none. Amazing product! My only flaw is the dryness is caused to my already dry skin and the smell. It has a chemical smell to it. The product itself pumps well, it’s a fluffy white cream. It takes off makeup and really digs deep.
« CLINICAL RESULTS »
I’ve used this for years and feel it’s hands down the best way to achieve results with a cleanser at home. Feels like you’ve had a peel or in spa resurfacing treatment. A little goes a long way. I use on my T zone first, helps with cleaning out pores, taking away dead skin and over time decreasing the pore size. My skin feels so prepped and ready for serum or moisturizer after using WITHOUT the rough use of exfoliators. Extremely gentle even on my eczema prone skin. I use every second or third night and the bottle lasts many months. Let it sit and do it’s job and massage into skin and leave for a few moments without rinsing right away. It’s the one cleanser I keep going back to as it provides visible results after the first use.
« Doesn’t Actually Do Anything »
I don’t know how many of you know what Noxzema smelled like back in the 80s, but this has that fragrance. Putting that aside, I’m almost done with my bottle and not entirely sure I can say it did anything at all. It’s quite drying, which I expected given it says it’s a resurfacing cleanser, but I see no discernible difference in the quality or texture of my skin. Granted, I have pretty normal skin without any major acne or anything — but I do have scarring from previous outbreaks and mild discoloration, etc. It is hardly perfect skin but it’s equally imperfect now as it was before I used it. I don’t know what else to say — except that I won’t be buying it again.
