« Reformulated! »

This has been my go to for years and recently purchased a new bottle and after using it, I knew immediately something was off. I never before had a bad reaction to this face cleanser. This new formulation not only left my skin feeling feeling stripped but left my face with a sticky film. Even the calming scent is gone. It’s no better than a cheap drugstore hand wash! I checked the ingredients and compared to my old bottle, and noticed the ingredients are completely different. Why has the formula changed? I’m not understanding why because it was perfect the way it was. Very disappointed!

SOOO Excited that Sephora is carrying this line. I absolutely love this line. The cleansing gel is the only thing I use to wash my face. I have combination skin and find it is great for both dry and oily areas. Have tried other products and it made my skin irritated and red. I have been using the product for years. It lathers well and works well with my clarisonic. It is a bit pricey but you only need to use a dime size amount or smaller to wash your face and neck because it lathers well.

I have a contact dermatitis allergy to coconut oil and its derivatives. Gives me a rash. Coconut oil is in everything! I’ve been trying to find a second cleanser forever, and based on the ingredients listed here, I thought I had found it. But when it was delivered, I double checked and whoa! There are actually 4 coconut oil derivatives listed on the package, none of which are listed above (cocomidopropyl betaine, coco-betaine, sodium cocoyl isethionate and caprylhydroxamic acid). UGH. Returning this. Please update your ingredient list.

« Excellent Investment »

After using Purity by Philosophy for so long I wanted to up my skincare game and invest in a higher quality product. Dermalogica is a well-known and raved about brand with good ingredients and was highly recommended to me. I have normal/oily, acne-prone skin and this cleanser I believe has helped control my oil production and breakouts. It makes a nice lather, has no over-powering scent (barely a scent at all actually) and it did not strip my skin. After washing it off my skin did not feel at all dry, but rather felt very clean! Will re-purchase and use for a long time!

« I’m glowing! »

I used this to product 6 times over 3 days (am/pm), after every use my skin is silky soft and I love it! This formula is not an irritant to the skin at all. I have combination skin with a dry patch between my eyebrows and is evening out very well so far. definitely will reorder! Picture attached is after first use and after 6th use left to right!

« Very Drying »

I have oily skin with occasional breakouts. I have been using this cleanser for 1 month along with the precleanse, toner and active moisturizer. This cleanser is harsh and leaves skin feeling stripped and dry. After 1 month of use my skin is dry, flaking and I look aged. Does nothing for breakouts. I would not recommend.

Auntie Jacki Aina told no lies, this stuff is pure magic. I have oily eczema skin so there are only a few things i can use on my face that dont cause irritation and this is one of them. This get my face amazingly clean and its not drying, whatever is in this is worth the price and the size is huge! It doesnt take alot of product so i will get alot of use out of this before i have to reorder which i def will!!

I bought this because of AUNTIE JACKIE always swears by it for a gently cleanser for oily skin types. It lathers really well and with no harsh smells or perfumes that eventually cause me to break out. I liked the product although I haven’t really seen any major improvements with my skin but i’ve only been using daily for two weeks so it probably needs more time to work. I’m most impressed with how much of the product they give and it really works well at removing makeup and dirt & sweat after a long day.

I decided to try it out for all the positive acne prone skin results. I started breaking out immediately, and tried it for 2 months to allow time for purging. My skin has never been his sensitive and so acne filled. I stopped using the product and replaced it with my husband’s cheap Trader Joe’s face wash until my Clinique acne face wash came in, and my face immediately started clearing up. I can’t believe I paid for this over priced face wash just for it to ruin my skin.

No joke, I played around with ALL of Dermalogica’s cleaners until I landed on this one. I have very oily skin so I played with their Dermal Clay cleanser (was too drying), their Clearing Skin cleanser for acne-prone skin (was VERY drying and my face was left tight and flakey afterwards), and their Ultracalming cleanser (felt like it did nothing and my face was still oily after a couple hours). However, once I started using this though (and it’s been 5 months now) I felt like I met my perfect match! My skin has been feeling clean, clear of acne, radiant, less oily, and not tight at all after my wash! Please, if you have oily skin, give this a try!Tip: I also pair this with my Clarisonic for a deep clean

« May as Well Use Hand Soap »

This was a hard NO! This is a soap-free gel, which means it has natural foaming ingredients in it. My face didn’t really feel clean. I used this along with the microfoliant (it’s a fake hype, don’t believe it and the toner which is actually pretty great, surprisingly). There isn’t a “real” scent, but it reminds me of hand soap. I was still having make up in my face after using when I would use the toner. So, it really isn’t cleaning your face. Don’t waste your time. I wanted to like it so much. But, just, no!

I’ve had bad moderate acne my whole life and this ha s been the best cleanser I’ve ever used. I left it for a while because of its price but nothing works as well as it. I love it and I’m never letting it go again <3

« 23 years and counting! »

I’ve been using this cleanser for 23 years. Not one single complaint. I have super sensitive skin and this cleanser not only leave my skin feeling soft and clean, but also helps with redness due to my environmental sensitivities and allergies. There is no fragrance added, but has a very soft lavender scent due to the essential oils in the ingredients.

« Not That Great... »

I wanted to try this brand so I bought several of the mini sized products and this one was a miss. I felt like I had to use a lot of cleanser to feel like it was cleansing my face at all. The smell wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t that great either. In the end I washed my face again with a trusted cleanser and gave the rest to a friend. It’s gentle to the point of not feeling effective. It didn’t hurt my skin or anything but it didn’t get the job done either. I’m going to pass on this product. The spray toner is amazing however!
