« good cleanser. overpriced. »

I was able to try several Dr. Sturm products when they had a special set of deluxe minis in the beauty bazaar last year. I really enjoyed this cleanser, it does a good job of removing makeup and oils. It does feel a bit stripping to my normal skin. Even though I enjoy it there is no way I will pay this amount of money for a cleanser. I’m not going to participate in this insanity. Look into Dr. Babor, it’s made at the same factory in Germany and the ingredients are suspiciously similar. That’s all. Just lookin out for your wallet.

Never had acne prone skin. This expensive bottle gave my sister, and I, cystic acne at separate times of using it. Of course everyone’s skin reacts differently. But there are some questionable and very inexpensive ingredients in here.

This cleanser is not worth the price! I was looking for a luxurious feeling cleanser and this does not hit the mark. For this price you would think this cleanser would be amazing, it is NOT!! It made my skin break out which makes me think it isn’t non comedogenic! It’s also light and fluffy in texture vs. rich, foamy, and thick. My skin looks terrible after using this. It sucks because I can’t return because the stores are closed.. so looks like I have to use it. Or, else I would be throwing away 70 + bucks. Next time I’ll stick to Shisedo white Licent cleanser. Also, doesn’t remove all of my makeup.

« “Grown-Up” Cleanser Balances Without Burning »

After years of using deep cleansers that stripped the oil off my combination skin, I decided to try this ”grown up” cleanser to see if it could get my skin feeling cleanbut not overly dried out.I got great results! I love the way the Sturm cleanser made my mildly oily t-zone perfectly clean, comfortable, smooth, soft. The dry areas of my face felt clean and fresh, with no burning or dryness. I washed my very sensitive eyes, directly applying the foam with my clean fingertips to my lashes, and brows. I got perfectly clean eyes, soft lashes with no stinging or reaction. This is rare for me, I have an eye disease that usually flares up when I cleanse with a new product. I was amazed and relieved to have my eyes and the rest of my skin feeing and looking fresh balanced after using this effective cleanser.

This is the best feeling foam cleanser I have ever used by far. I love how simple it is, and I definitely feel like my skin texture has improved since using this. Once I run out, I probably won’t repurchase since this was part of a major “treat yo self” birthday moment, but I will always respect and recommend her to anyone willing to drop some dough!

I just got through my first bottle and can definitely say this is my favorite cleanser. It is like a grown up cera-ve. It leaves my skin soft, not tight, and completely clean. There is no strong fragrance, it lasted me almost three months. I always have my best skin days when I’m using this cleanser.

« GOOD but NOT phenomenal »

If this is out of your price range, I don’t feel like it’s anything phenomenal to want to spend the extra money (Makes me think of La Mer in a sense). The product quality is good, but it’s not phenomenal. If I was the richest person in the world, I would still opt for many products that are better quality with a cheaper price range. I love German products, which is what gave me the push to try out Dr. Sturm products. This is definitely a gentle cleanser, but if you’re a one step and done person, do not expect it to wipe off your makeup with one or several pumps. After using this product, I felt like my face was slightly itchy in spots where my face was broke out. I used this with other Sturm products and my skin felt soft. I do not see myself repurchasing this. I recommend using Drunk Elephant Pekee or Juju Bar for a cleanser. I’m not the biggest fan of the Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser.

« FAVORITE CLEANSER! »

I wanna start by saying i have oily, acne prone skin. And i have tried everything for my skin. A lot of cleansers just don’t do the job for me. Wanted to write this review because I’m just so happy i found this cleanser and it helped with my skin so much. I’ve been using this for almost 2 years now. There are times where i switch to other cleaners but i always go back to this one. Its gentle enough that it doesn’t irritate my skin, yet it cleans it so well. I know its super pricey but the bottle does last awhile and it just works so well. If i find a cheaper one that works just as well then thats the time I’ll switch. But so far this is just amazing on my skin. You just have to try it.

« Powerful Gentle Cleanser - Acne/Rosacea/Sensitive »

My H.G. cleanser for the foreseeable future, and the only face wash I’ve noticed make a noticeable difference in my skin from the first use. I have very problematic skin — rosacea, reactive, sensitive, dry, malassezia-prone (fungal acne) and congested, so finding soothing, gentle products that clean and don’t clog my pores or feed an overgrowth yeast is a huge pain. This cleanser, while a foam, is super soft and doesn’t dry out my skin at all. My pores are much less congested, the pustules from my rosacea breakouts went down immediately, and my skin felt really soft and hydrated directly after and the next morning. I’ve been using this product with the same results for about a week and a half, so that wasn’t just a fluke day, and it is the only swap in my routine. If you have complicated skin like me and have seemingly tried everything, I’d give this one a shot. $70 is a lot for a face wash, but truly, I’ve tried everything from La Mer to Tata to drugstore to SkinCeuticals to prescription and thus has delivered me the best results, hands down. Definitely worth waking up to clear skin that I can feel good in everyday.

Absolutely love this cleanser. I’ve used for about a year and it always leaves my skin super clean and soft. Can also use it to remove eye makeup.

« SO CLEAN! »

I have really sensitive skin and have trouble sticking to one routine. I also have noticed more and more my skin is more dehydrated and can’t hold the moisture in. I heard really good things about Sturms product and thought I would try it out. I love the way it actually foams up... you only need a little water and a little of the cleanser and it really gets it going. As soon as I rinse off I feel 10x more hydrated and clean. I felt super fresh and also not sticky (how some of the other foaming cleansers leave me). I would really recommend !!!!

« Great Healing Cleanser »

I was having terrible breakouts from trying so many new products. I have never had trouble with my skin before, I used proactiv when I was a teenager up until 21. I decided I needed to find better products for my skin. I tried everything. My skin was a mess and I didn’t know what to do. I stopped using everything except for the Barbara Sturm cleanser, toner, and moisturizer when I found out about these products. My skin started to improve and in about a week most of my issues were gone/ healing. Of course I still have pimples here and there, but that’s normal. I usually just use a Benzoyl Peroxide treatment of the TLC Framboos Serum from Drunk Elephant for those times. If you want a gentle yet affective cleanser I really do recommend this one. The price is high, but if you have the money I would definitely invest. It lasts quite a while and I wash my face morning and night with it. It’s a foam out of the bottle but it lathers into a great consistency that doesn’t make you feel like you are putting nothing on your face. Don’t know if this is going to be my all time favorite cleanser, but it sure did help my skin.

Disappointed. Nothing special about this expensive cleanser. My skin felt tight and dry after using. Going back to Tata Harper!

« An everyday must! »

When I turned 30 I told myself that I would invest in products for better skincare. I started using multiple products from the Dr. Sturm line and figured it was time to throw away the drug store cleanser I have been using and try this cleanser. I am very active and the cleanser does not strip my skin. Bonus it also takes off my eye makeup! Since using Dr. Sturm products my skin is calm and healthy!

This is one of my favorite cleansers. It is foaming but the foam isn’t drying. Doesn’t have any smell or essential oils that can cause irritation. Would recommend to anyone.
