Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser

Packaging: The bottle retains the clean simple look of the original but the pump makes it easier to use on a daily basis. I do think the tube packaging was easier for travel though. Maybe they can come out with a travel tube version of this.Smell: The blueberry scent is lighter with the new formulation but just as pleasant. I can see super fine blueberry bits on my bottle.Texture: It transforms from a watery-gel texture to foam as you rub it onto wet palms, then to a tacky texture as you rub it on your face.Effectiveness: I wear light makeup and it removed everything except for my mascara. My face felt really clean and soft afterwards.Conclusion: I love how nice my skin feels after and like using this in the mornings. With makeup, I would still need to double cleanse but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. The bonus is my skin feeling touchably soft after.

First and foremost, my favorite cleanser has been the original Blueberry Bounce ever since it was released, so I was excited to try this new formula. Comparisons and review below: Packaging: Obviously the packaging has changed. It is now in a bigger bottle, holds more product, and has a pump with a straw rather than a soft tube bottle with a cap. The pump is easy to close up - you can switch it off if you need to pack it for traveling. -->Verdict: I prefer the original packaging, but I know that can be personal preference. I find the soft tube bottle with a top cap closure much more secure for traveling, and easier for every day use. I also feel like getting the last bits out of the bottle will be harder with the straw pump structure. All that being said, it is nice that the new bottle has more product in it. Consistency: The new formula is much more ’bouncy’ than the original. It has a firmer texture than the original foams up more while washing your face. There isn’t much of the blueberry bits in the new formula though. -->Verdict: I really enjoy both versions. I kept going back and forth with the cleansers to compare and I have to say they are both . great - I still love the original, but the new texture feels great as well. I do miss the larger pieces of blueberry though. Scent: The new cleanser smells more fruity (not necessarily like blueberries, just fruity/floral in general), and has a stronger fragrance. The original smells lighter and strictly more like blueberries. -->Verdict: I prefer the original, but both smell good. I prefer to use lighter fragranced products on my face in general. However, after layering on toner, moisturizers, etc, I can’t smell the cleansers after use anyway. Ingredients: The ingredients are the same, but the new cleanser is claimed to be more gentle, and better at removing makeup (among other things). -->Verdict: I am for anything that is better and safer for my skin, so the new clean

I’m amazed with how well this works. I actually feel it cleansing off the dirt from the day. I have very oily skin. acne prone. (cystic/hormonal you name it i have it) I’ve been using glow recipe products for almost a month now and I am so happy with the results. Game changer. This cleanser is amazingggg! It cleared my skin up in a week!!! It didn’t leave me feeling tight/dry after use like i thought it would ...my skin looks soooo smooth and glowy now I’m impressed!!!! :D the only thing is it did irritate my eyes a bit so i try not to go around that area but i am going to continue to use it !!!

I was already a fan of the original Blueberry Bounce Cleanser from Glow Recipe, but this new formula is even more amazing!! The new pump and bottle design is so user friendly and dispenses the exact amount of cleanser needed with one pump! This is the most hydrating deep cleanser I have ever used, and my crazy combination skin just loves it!

I have tried the original Blueberry cleanser and would like to write about the main differences between the two.- The new bottle - definitely a huge improvement for me personally. I prefer pump bottles, it just makes it easier to dispense the right amount rather than dealing with a tube. And.... it easily locks!!! Which is a huge plus again.Having kids they are always in my stuff, by locking the bottle it gives me a peace of mind.- Scent - the scent change is very subtle. It became more fruity and flowery. I liked the original scent, and like the new one as well.- Texture - Oh man, I feel like the new cleanser is much-much bouncier in texture and thicker a little bit. It makes it easier to mask since the texture is a little firmer and stays on your face easier. If you are washing your face a little goes a long way. It doesn’t foam up too much, gives little bubbles. The original cleanser did an excellent job removing makeup and eye makeup, so does the new one as well. I usually apply the cleanser on my hands, lather it up, close my eyes and cover the whole face in bubbles. I massage face and eye area and let the cleanser soak in a little bit into my makeup, mascara and liner. I go in circles around my eyes, cheeks and face a few times to loosen up the makeup before washing it off. Usually does the trick and all the makeup gets removed from the first wash.I honestly liked the original formula, but the new formula with all of the improvements are a great plus! Do recommend to try

« Simple, effective cleanser »

I have only been using this cleanser for a few days, but have already noticed a huge difference. It is clearing up my MASSIVE breakout on my chin and also soothing the rest of my skin. I was a bit skeptical because of the price, but I feel that this is worth it. The smell is lovely and not strong which is really nice. It lathers up very nicely with warm water and makes skin feel nice and clean without being drying.

I got my hands on a mini version of this product and I absolutely loved it. I went and purchased the regular size and it’s nothing like the sample I got. The sample version is everything they claiming the product to be - gentle, bouncy, cleansing without stripping. The new one I just got from Sephora is drying and harsh and feels like dish detergent. It even has a different scent. After reading some of the reviews here I learned that the Glow Recipe did change the formula of this product and it’s possible that the sample I had was actually the old formula. Too bad. I was very excited to buy a regular size cleanser.

This cleanser is amazing if you’ve got sensitive/acne-prone skin. My skin loves to breakout immediately if something isn’t working. I’ve tested this cleanser out for 2 months, and my skin has calmed down, and the breaks I do get are hormonal and unavoidable. It does a great job at disinfecting them that’s for sure, and reduces the redness and inflammation. The only thing to be advised about when it comes to this cleanser is that it can be drying, so please use a nice rich moisturizer afterwards to add some moisture back into your skin.

Great produt, but not with people with sensitive skin. I noticed red blotches on my cheeks and chin and after stip using the product they disappeared. I would recommend to people with normal type of skin

After finishing my bottle of Fresh’s Soy cleanser I decided to pick this up instead of repurchasing because I’d heard so many wonderful things about this cleanser and the Fresh cleanser left my face feeling so dry and tight after using it. I’ve only used this cleanser a handful of times and I can already feel the difference! My skin doesn’t feel tight after cleansing, and it feels so moisturized. The small amount of AHAs in the cleanser is just enough to leave me skin feeling soft and smooth, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive, combo skin. I’m excited to keep using this, and try using this as a mask, as well. Definitely recommend picking this up and giving it a try.

Effectively removes makeup, doesn’t dry skin out. Love this cleanser!

Finally saw this at my local Sephora yesterday! The upgraded packaging is everything! I absolutely adore pumps and this bottle is worthy of a shelfie! Cleanser has the same bouncy gel texture, foams up nicely, and removed all my makeup! My skin feels clean, smooth, and refreshed!

I was hestitant to use this on my eyes because of the AHA but it was gentle enough that my eyes felt no irritation and all of my waterproof makeup came off. The more i massaged it into my skin, the foamier it got and by the end I had a rich lather on my face that left my skin feeling clean but not tight. The smell is more of a clean and light blueberry scent and not the artificial blueberry candy or jello scent that one would normally associate with blueberry skincare products. I never tried the OG blueberry bounce cleanser but I love the new one so much that I’m looking for excuses to wash my face.
