I love how gentle yet effective this cleanser is! Lathers really well without stripping or drying the skin. I have pretty “normal” skin with a slightly oily T-zone and I can use this day and night without feeling dry. Lathers enough that I can shave my face with as well. The scent is really nice and refreshing. Also no irritation around the eye area which is definitely a plus! I typically use the Biossance Tea Tree Cleanser or the Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser and the texture of this falls somewhere around these two, more of a gel consistency.

I’m on the fence about this one! I waited patiently for a month while this came in the mail. I was super excited for this particular product because of what it claims to do.Upon opening this to smell it, it was a very off-putting smell; smelled nothing of pineapples or anything citrus for that fact.I have used it a few times now and each time... My face does feel clean but it feels tight, dry and has a tacky feeling afterwards that seems to disappear after a few moments..It doesn’t lather up super well, but it is a thin water like gel consistently, so I didn’t think it was going to be sudsy or anything.. I will continue to use it all and hopefully be able to see a difference in my skin.. because I would love to find that holy grail face cleanser!

i LOVE this cleanser! it smells amazing without being fragrented & it left my face feeling so clean and smooth without feeling dry. That to me is so important !! definetly reccomend as well as the whipped face moisturizer. This is not a sponsored review , im just a regualar girl who LOVES these products !!

Sometimes, I feel like I just sound redundant in these reviews because when a product is great, and 32985 people stated that it was great, there isn’t much more to say other than it’s great. Well folks...this one is GREAT! I’ve got sensitive, dry, melanated skin and so I make an effort in only using natural/clean and moisturizing cleansers to keep it healthy and happy. The odd pimples I get (I usually only get the ONE pimple on my forehead around the T.O.M) are afraid of this cleanser - they disappear or reduce in size the very next day. It has a slight tingle when you first apply it (not painful AT ALL it just feels like it’s doing something). The scent is very light and natural. The consistency is gel-like and kind of gooey (reminds me of Glow Recipe’s cleanser - the one in the purple bottle). I give this cleanser 5 stars! P.S. this brand is health and eco conscious, encourages sustainability, practices fair trade, is equitable and actively promotes diversity and inclusion. What’s not to like? Thanks for another hit, Josie!

Let me start off by saying I did not expect this to smell like pineapple and I am in fact happy that is does not because added scents/fragrance is not good for your skin. So I gave it an extra star for that. The claims on this cleanser is to gently exfoliate, help clear skin, smooth congestions/roughness, restore balance without stripping the skin. While I agree with the gentle exfoliation I do not believe it restored balance without stripping the skin. I have REALLY dry skin and have always stuck to my Soy Fresh Cleanser but wanted to give this a shot as I LOVE Josie Maran products but this was simply a miss for me. I will be returning as I purchased this as a daily face and I cannot use this even every other day as it strips my skin. I would recommend this to someone who has a little more sebum to deal with as I believe it is an effect cleanser just not for me.

Everyone’s skin works differently with different products, obviously-but for me this product just seems average or below average. Although I like a product to smell good it doesn’t have to smell good for me to continue using it... in fact it’s probably better that it doesn’t smell good because it means there’s no fragrance in it. It didn’t matter either way, with this product, although it has a very strong plasticity smell to it -it’s actually kind of gross. This is not the reason I won’t continue using it...it will be because it left my face feeling tight, stripped of moisture and just extremely dry. It’s too bad, because I love every single one of her products other than this one. I decided to try it because of all the good reviews but it did not work for me at all-in fact I believe it caused me to break out, if that’s possible from a cleanser. It just seems subpar... there are definitely WAY better cleansers out there. It did absolutely nothing to shrink my pores, either.

This product literally SAVED MY SKIN and gave me a NEW FACE! I’ve been using it for a week, and all of my acne, dehydration, flakiness, blotchy red embarrassing aggravations are gone. My routine is that I start with Cetaphil Pro Oil Removing Foam Wash to wash away makeup and daily gunk. Then I put on Josie Maran Pineapple Enzyme Pore Clearing Cleanser. Used together makes my face feel clean and refreshed without the tightness of other cleansers. Then moisturize with Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter. I was a little hesitant about putting oil on my oily and dry skin, but the benefits were well worth the unnerving feelings. I am so thankful for this. This combination is literally POG

Currently have been using Josie Maran Pineapple Enxyme Clearing Cleasner for 1-2 weeks now and is by fair the greatest cleanser I have ever used on my skin.The cleanser truly does not leave my skin dry after washing and you can’t beat the benefit of it being 2-in-1 exfoliate that is gentle for African-American skin dealing with hyperpigmentation + acne scars.

This cleanser is wonderful! It smells great and reduces the size of my pores. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling smooth, bouncy and fresh.

This one is interesting. It doesn’t feel like it’s cleansing my face at all. Consistency is like a light gel, spreads okay. But yet somehow my pores on my cheek area are getting smaller. I would definitely recommend this to add to your 2nd Cleanse routine, but not as a stand alone product :)

I have very sensitive, acne prone sensitive skin. I usually use the Yes To Tomatoes charcoal cleanser and it works well, but when I saw the description I had to try this. First, the packaging is amazing; beautiful and luxurious but functional. The scent is mild, clean and doesn’t linger which I like. There is no harsh stinging or burning like with some enzyme exfoliators but it left my skin so soft and smooth. I honestly made my friend feel because it is never that soft. I use twice a day and my pores do seem clearer with consistent use. This hasn’t caused ANY irritation and it doesn’t feel overly drying. My skin always feels clean after I use this. Highly recommend! « Amazing without the smell »

I love this stuff. I was initially a little disappointed because it doesn’t smell like pineapple, but with the way my skin is looking now I could not care less. My skin feels clean when I use this, but not stripped. 10/10, I’m buying my second bottle right now.
