I received this product complimentary from Laneige. I would give this Laneige Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser a 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a nice hydrating non-irritating cleanser that doesn’t make my dry skin tight. I also really appreciate that the ingredients are clean since I’m a big ingredient junkie. The only flaw I noticed is that it doesn’t completely breakdown all of my makeup. If I have a lot of eye makeup on, it can help get rid of most but not all. I would need to double cleanse, but for everyday makeup it works great. I appreciate being able to try it for free. This is my honest unbiased review.

« WANTED TO LOVE - BUT JUST NOT WORTH THE PRICE »

For reference, I have combination/acne-prone skin that is constantly at risk for dry, flakiness as a result of disrupted skin barrier related to tretinoin and actives. I recently went up on my tretinoin and discovered the importance of hydrating in addition to moisturizing so have been in the market for skin barrier support products. I got immediately excited when I saw both the cream skin mist and oil milk cleanser - since it consists of only simple ingredients, and seemingly beautiful formulation based on reviews and description... HOWEVER, these products just simply did not work for my skin. The cream skin mist left me with clogged pores. I had higher hopes for this cleanser, even though it has the same ingredients bc it’s wash-off product and seemed like the perfect gentle morning cleanser I’ve been wanting since starting tretinoin. I will start by saying the texture is a borderline watery/milky, and almost silky texture that is beautifully packaged, AND I don’t think it necessarily caused texture as with the mist, however it feels greasy during use and then immediately after washing off, my face felt clean, but not necessarily hydrated. It’s at the proper pH so I don’t think it stripped my skin per se, and the ingredients are great on paper but I just don’t think it’s worth the price considering I have other facewashes that are more effective, without the greasy feeling, and leave my skin feeling TRULY hydrated not just like I ran water over it which defeats the purpose of a cleanser. I think the CeraVe hydrating cleanser would be a better solution for the type of product I was looking for in my routine. I also plan to try the Krave Matcha cleanser for the days I am feeling particularly oily.

« Perfect for dry, sensitive skin!! »

Finally! A gentle cleanser that didn’t make my face itch! I tried BareMinerals Oil Obsessed oil cleanser, Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 jelly cleanser, and First Aid Beauty face cleanser— all of which made my face sting, itch, and have tiny bumps all over! I’m pregnant right now and my skin is especially dry and sensitive so that’s probably why, so I was so happy to finally find a cleanser that works. It leaves my skin feeling soft and healthy. It also takes my makeup off! I use the Nars smudge proof eyeshadow primer, the Bare Minerals Lasting Line waterproof eyeliner and Maybelline Snapscara mascara + Glossier Cloud Paint for my cheeks and this takes them ALL off. I don’t use foundation these days though (what’s the point when you have to wear a mask? Lol) but I’m sure that if this can take off stubborn eyeliner, it can take off foundation, too. I follow this up with the Laneige Cream Skin Mist and I love how dewy and soft my face feels!

This is a nice creamy cleanser, but I would not use it as an oil cleanser during a double cleanse. It wasn’t “oily enough” and didn’t work as well to take off makeup and stubborn sunscreen as my tried and true TYDO balm by Clinique of my Slaai by Drunk Elephant.I have oily skin and this was still fine... but I can see this working really nicely for drier skin types who wear very little to no makeup and a lighter sunscreen. Yay to the fact that it’s fragrance free! Great for folks with sensitive skin of those that want to avoid fragrance in their skincare products.

« A MUST HAVE !! »

Just got this and have used it a couple times (morning and night along with the AHA/BHA Peter Thomas Roth cleanser afterwards). It has replaced my Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser and THIS MILK CLEANSER IS INCREDIBLE!!! The ingredients are so soft and gentle and good for your skin! There’s no fragrance but smells a lil .... industrial??? It’s not strong and comes off once rinsed ! I immediately purchased after checking the ingredients and my skin has completely calmed down after the FIRST USE! I have super sensitive and combo skin and used to have cystic acne and still get bad flare ups and this has been a game changer for me ! The consistency is obviously runny so be careful, but so incredible. I 100000/10 recommend as a base cleanser ! I also use the Laneige Milk Toner and it’s so soft and wonderful too!

« Disappointing »

I bought this upon the recommendation of a beauty youtuber. From the way she described it, it sounded perfectly like what I was looking for: a creamy consistency that removes all your makeup quickly while not stripping the skin and not leaving a film. I have oily-ish skin, and she has dry, so I should have known better to take a recommendation from her. On me, this does not remove makeup well. it takes forever to get eye makeup off, and I do not use waterproof products usually. It feels like it is actually just rubbing on the surface of my makeup and not mixing with it in the way that most oil cleansers do, which I what I was hoping for. It also leaves a film on my skin. I’m really disappointed because I couldn’t even finish this product, so I feel like I wasted my money. I gave this 2 stars because I feel like there are some dry skinned people out there who could possibly like this as a facial cleanser, not a makeup remover.

best facial cleanser i’ve ever used. 1st picture is me recently, no foundation on skin, my face is so much cleaner and my acne is gone (see my face on 2nd picture, before i started using the product) there is a clear difference and i’ll never stop using this product

« SO GENTLE! »

I have super sensitive and reactive skin, and I absolutely I LOVE this oil cleanser! It is so different from any other cleansing balm or oil I’ve used before. The consistency is definitely more “milky” and thicker than a typical oil. I find it super soothing and it does a great job at removing my makeup in the evenings. I tend to wear a lighter face of makeup, so I can’t speak for full glam, but I’m super happy with the way this feels and performs. This might be my new holy grail!

Bought this cause of Jamie Paiges rec. I usually use cleansing balms but I love this so much more. Does such a great job of removing the makeup. It’s light and easy to wash off.

This was very gentle on my skin the biggest problem is that it didn’t completely remove my makeup so I returned it and I bought the farmacy cleansing balm and that one removes even my waterproof mascara. This might work for you but it didn’t work for me

Makes your skin feel clean and soft. Removed acne I had received from wearing face masks within 2 weeks. I’m now obsessed with their entire line since it’s not harsh on your skin. Trust me, try it.

I have sensitive comb/dry skin. I used it for my night wash and woke up with raised red skin. I used it again that morning and it was harsh and drying. Which is ironic cuz it’s meant for comb/dry skin. I stopped using it and the next morning, the raised red skin went away. This was the only new product I tried the two days I started using it.

I received this product complimentary from Laneige. I always used normal coconut oil to remove make up but I was always willing to try something different and glad I got a chance to try this cream skin milk oil cleanser.It’s Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, and phthalates. I really don’t prefer unwanted chemicals.It’s so easy to use this. I massage this into my skin and then rinse it with water.It makes my skin feel clean and fresh and my skin feels so smoother than before.It’s great for my skin and suits it so well. Glad this worked for me.It makes my skin radiant and baby soft.Love the smell. So much better than actually using oil !!!It doesn’t strip off any moisture from the skin yet clears allImpurities and makeup perfectly.I definitely love this better now !

Hands down the best cleanser I’ve used on my dry, rosacea prone skin. I’ve developed perioral dermatitis after using certain cleansing agents, so I tend to stick to non-foaming oils/milks. This is my favorite!I don’t wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis and don’t know how this would stand up to a full face, but it does fine taking my bit off, and my skin is never irritated or dried out afterwards.

This milk cleanser was runnier than I expected. I am use to just a but thicker consistency of face wash so I had to adjust the amount I pumped to feel like I had ample product to clean my face. Once I applied this to my dry face and washed it off I did notice that it was a more gentle clean and not a feeling like everything had been stripped away. Throughout the day I noticed that my face never felt dewy. However, it did not remove my eye makeup as well as I would have liked. I had to go back over my eyes with a cold cream based product to finish the job. I received this product complimentary from Laneige.
