« Microplastics »
This is a fantastic exfoliator, but I notice there are Acrylates Copolymer high in the ingredients list. Isn’t this a microplastic? If so, how is this allowed with the ban. I’m trying to avoid buying products that damage the environment.
« Worth the money »
I’m the kind of person that never really wanted to spend that much on skin care, BUT I’d gotten a sample set of this product line and I couldn’t go on using what I had been. This exfoliating cleanser is gentle enough for every day, or even twice daily usage. My skin has never been softer; I have combination, acne-prone skin, and even my acne scars have been fading. I have been confident enough about the change that I’ve gone to the gym in the mornings without makeup, some days. I will absolutely continue buying this, and I would recommend this product to everyone.
I bought this after seeing it on a derm forum for doctors that it is one of the top 10 recommended products for clearing skin. Since I had a sample of this laying around from a few months ago, I gave it ago in hopes that it would help to clear my skin. I cannot believe how much it did for my skin! The dermatologists on the forum recommended to use this after lightly steam toweling your face and leaving this cleanser on for an extra 2 minutes after a minute of massaging it in, and I can actually say that this helped minimize the size of my pores and unclog them, resulting in clearer skin. My little breakouts are nearly gone and I am just left with the hyperpigmentation left from acne scarring and am crossing my fingers that this, too, will disappear with using this product. I am so glad that I purchased the full size!
I am so upset that I wasted my money on this! I didn’t realize until a month later with no improvement and more blackheads that this product contains sodium laureth sulfate...which is moderately/highly comedogenic (3/5 clogs your pores!!)...try something else...so disappointed...
« Effective yet gentle »
I have aging, but very oily skin. As I am getting older I am noticing larger pores and my skin is less smooth. I have read many articles on what to do abut this and many recommend AHA/BHA as part of a skincare regimine. I am so glad I selected this one. I have also tried AHA/BHA peels and those are just too potent for every day use and stripped my skin of too much oil, which increased the oiliness. This product has a perfect balance for me and results are good. The areas where I had larger pores, around my nose, parts of my forehead, they have noticeably shrank. Also, the texture of my skin has improved, and is noticeably smoother after about 6 weeks of use. I highly recommended for sensitive, oily, acne prone skin.
« MAGIC IF USED CORRECTLY »
I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt like this product deserved one. When I first started using this product the purge was REAL (I was also using it way more than I was suppose to, and over exfoliating leaves to breakouts so that definitely could’ve been part of it). However, once I started using this product CORRECTLY (2/3 times a week), I saw a lot of improvement in my skin. This is a staple in my skin care routine and I love it! I’m giving it 5 stars, however, as expected from an exfoliating cleanser, it does dry out my skin and I have to use a heavier moisturizer when I use it (because this happens with every exfoliating product I’m not going to take away a star, but warning to everyone out there to use this CORRECTLY before throwing the product away :))
« Life Saver! »
I had those tiny little bumps on my forehead - acne but not popable and under the surface. I was using other acne cleanser but it wasn’t doing the job. A friend recommended this product and I’m never going back. $40 may seem like a lot, but this is quality stuff and you get a huge tube that will last you a good while. I now use it 2-3 times a week rotating between a normal cleanser as not to dry out my skin, and my bumps are 100% gone!
« Not a miracle but still great! »
I have classic combination skin where even though I have blackheads, my nose peels and flakes from dry skin to no end. I also have massive pores on and around my nose area and this pretty much makes putting on makeup disastrous, After doing research on ingredients good for acne prone skin and seeing that this is an exfoliator as well, I decided to give this product a go. I use it daily in the morning and I will definitely say I’ve seen great improvements. My skin is not flaky at all, I have less blackheads, and my pore sizes have dramatically decreased. My skin looks more healthy and putting on makeup after this is a breeze. A few days off, and my skin started breaking out and only 4 days back on and all the new breakouts have just about gone away. The only reason I wouldn’t give this 5 stars is because I still do have breakouts and it does take awhile for them to go away, but I think this paired with a spot treatment will do wonders. I thought about switching to another cleanser and just using the Murad Acne Gel exfoliator, but I’ve never felt my skin feel so soft and look so glowy so for now I’ll stick to this. If you have combination skin I will say its definitely worth a shot!
« Effective without being harsh »
I’ve been using this cleanser for about a week and can already tell the difference in my skin - it’s both softer and clearer. I have very sensitive and reactive skin, but this doesn’t seem to bother it. Perfect for those of us in our 30’s fighting pimples and wrinkles at the same time.
« Parabens listed on the box ingredients not website »
I recently purchased this item because of the rave reviews, and on the ingredients list posted on the site it did not have any parabens. However, upon delivery to my house after I purchased the product, the last two ingredients are methylparaben and proplyparaben. Can someone please direct me as to why they would fail to be included on the website if those ingredients are in fact present? Makes me a bit leary
« Fear of exfoliating »
I had always had a fear of exfoliating. People always advised me to exfoliate but when I did my skin ended up irritated and I broke out. This exfoliating cleanser is the opposite of the abrasive products I have tried in the past. It is gentle, but leaves my skin looking and feeling polished and renewed. It was slightly drying, so I only use it twice a week. I have seen great improvements in my skin ever since an esthetician recommended this product.
« No more fungal acne »
This cleanser is amazing!! I use it every two days and it has helped me with the little “fungal acne” bumps I used to have!!
« Skin Changing! »
I rarely write reviews and even more rarely do I pay such a high price for a face cleanser. I was talked into trying this product by a Sephora associate after telling her about my skin and my requirement that anything I buy must be cruelty free. My skin is combo (oily nose, chin, and cheek area nearer my nose while very dry around the outer areas), somewhat sensitive, and recently I could feel the roughness of clogged pores despite never really breaking out. With this description she pulled this cleanser off the wall, mind you I wasn’t even looking for a cleanser. I bit the bullet, used my rewards savings, and bought this cleanser. Wow, what a difference in my skin! So clean, but not that overly squeaky dry clean, my pores and the texture of my skin have greatly improved. I’ve already recommended to a friend and bought one for my mother. There is no looking back, this is my HG cleanser.
« had really high hopes but it’s awful »
Maybe okay for soft or city water? Idk but this almost immediately made my skin dull and gave me “soap scum”, clogged pores and didn’t cleanse at all. I was so excited to get this but it’s terrible. The multi acid peel is awful too and I’m shocked. Worst products I’ve ever used and unfortunately, I don’t trust Murad as a brand anymore. Look into the ingredients, they’re not what you’d expect.
Only exfoliant I’ve found that helps milia! An all around wonderful product.
