Essential-C Cleanser

« Love Love Love it!!! »

Just start using 2 weeks ago and I’m in love with this cleanser! I have seen a difference in my complexion, I wanted to try Murad for years and finally made the decision and it is the best one I’ve made. I use the cleanser and toner a.m and p.m and use the Essential C night cream at night I will slowly purchase the whole Essential C line....I can not wait to see my skin in a month from now! I would like to make a point that I am a women of color, I just want to encourage other women of color if she reads my review.... and was wondering if it will work on our skin...the answer is YES!

I’m 26 and i have had cystic acne since my preteens along with regular acne. I still suffer from adult acne and have sensitive skin. this is one of the few cleansers that gives life back to my skin without making me break out. most products just irritate my skin this does not. it has helped tremendously with the regular acne (nothing seems to help cystic acne without a prescription) and makes my skin look brighter. love love love. i go through this stuff like crazy . one of my ride or dies

« Foamy cleansing, light citrus scent »

This is a nice, not-too-rich, foamy, citrus-scented cleanser with tiny exfoliating beads (you barely notice them, not sure why they’re in there). I loved the scent, quite refreshing, and the lather is excellent. Unfortunately this stung my skin and broke me out and I had to return it, but honestly I’m not always great with topical forms of Vit C. (I can take it in pill form no problem, but Vit C skin products sometimes disagree with my skin.) That’s not a reflection on this wash’s cleansing ability, just the only reason why I can’t give it five stars. It didn’t strip my dry skin too much, just slightly drying for a lather cleanser, and I think for anyone with normal or especially combo skin would adore this. Good quality product, quite sorry it didn’t work for me. PS: the teeny tiny exfoliating beads are pointless, so don’t plan on getting this for real exfoliation. The beads are few and far between, and they’re not soft, they kind of feel like tiny pieces of plastic randomly floating around in there.

I love this cleanser. It smells nice, removes my makeup well, and keeps my skin clear. I tend to have incredibly dry skin but I can use this year round without adverse effect; my skin is smooth and soft to the touch immediately after washing. I do use Korres day/night creams with this cleanser as I find that Murad moisturizers are not hydrating enough for me.For all my fellow animal lover out there... Murad does not test on animals which is another huge plus! Over the past year I’ve been transitioning to all cruelty-free beauty products and this was one that I did not have to swap out because they already met that standard!

« My skin has never looked better »

I love this cleanser! At age 54 my skin is sun-damaged and small wrinkles are beginning to form. After I started using this product, my skin appeared smoother, less blotchy, and just healthier overall. It really cleans make up off, too-you won’t see any smudges of make up on the towel after drying your face. In addition I have very sensitive skin and have had no problems from it. And, it smells great!!

After years of searching for the perfect cleanser for my face, I finally tested this brand. The best cleanser I’ve used, it shows the difference in your face from the first day of use. Avoid acne breakouts and lighten black spots and do not dry the face.

Got a sample today and tried it right now.. Im just mad at myself why didnt i buy it right away. I have oily skin and this is guna be my new summer cleanser (winter time i have combo and i use bosia oil cleanser in the pink bottle and im obsessed!!!)

This feels so luxurious and the smell is amazing as well I I’ve been purchasing this back to back for a while now, I’m on my 5th bottle I believe and I love using this as a second cleanser to the mural clarifying acne cleaner they both work together great. Very expensive but very worth it!

My number one cleanser. I currently use the whole Murad Essential -C line. I always look forward to washing my face with this cleanser. It has a mild, citrus-like scent. Takes just a little to wash your whole face and it gives an instant glow.Would definitely recommend.

Works, don’t hesitate to try it. It doesn’t dry my skin, my face is never stripped after using. I’ve been using for a couple weeks and my face is brighter and clearer. I am an African American female and I have oily prone to acne skin. Basically a combination because sometimes I have very dry skin also. This cleanser has reversed those skin problems. I use every morning in the shower because I wasn’t extremely sure about this product. I follow with a CeraVe serum for dark spots (I may switch to Murad serum since I know it works) then a Cetaphil face moisturizer with spf. My face is clearing and you can see a big difference in texture. I guess the environment does affect my skin and I didn’t even realize. Dry in the winter and oil in the summer. But this cleanser is the real deal and has your skin looking great all year round, definitely recommend. Forewarning when you first began using, you might notice tiny bumps appear somewhat but do not be discouraged that is just the cleanser purging all the impurities stuck in your skin keep using!

I’ve always had really bad cystic acne which was so tough to get rid of. I have very oily and very sensitive skin. Nothing worked for me and I was really starting to give up until i randomly picked this up as my last shot. THIS SAVED MY SKIN!!! I no longer broke out ever since i started using this. It’s so gentle and leaves your face feeling fresh. It has such a lovely orangey scent to it which i don’t mind at all. I went through 3 of these already. It’s definitely worth the money! I promise you, if you’re trying to get rid of acne and have no hope, please give this a shot. I also have the acne clarifying cleanser by murad as well but it doesn’t work as well as this one did for me!

I’ve been using this product line for 3 years and my skin is soft, smooth and clean. The cleanser can last me 2-3 months, I use it once daily, just a dime size amount. I like the most that it isn’t strong and harsh on my face.

Probably the best cleanser I’ve ever used. Perfectly balanced and cleans without stripping. Rejuvenating and healing. Perfect for late 20s/early 30s when you break out but don’t need a full acne routine. Smell is refreshing without being overpowering. I have oily/combo and it’s perfect in every climate - not oily but very hydrating and let’s you have that inner glow.

I have normal skin that’s dries in the winter. This product keeps my skin balanced and clears up breakouts quickly. Orange smells good.

I like this and a little goes a long way! It’s only for that reason that I don’t mind the price. I used to have a really oily, super shiny t-zone with super dry, peeling cheeks/nose/chin I began using this cleanser with the nighttime essential C moisturizer and the Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 during the day well my face is looking great! I don’t have oily skin at all anymore. I don’t even have combination skin, I have normal skin now! My face looks so moisturized and healthy, I look way younder too. When my cheeks/nose/chin was peeling and dry I looked really old. I love this stuff.
