GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser

« Not a scrub and not really a cleanser »

This so-called scrub uses plastic beads (acrylates copolymer) as an exfoliant, but they are so few and far between they don’t actually exfoliate. They get away with calling this sulfate-free because they use sodium lauroyl oat amino acids. While still gentler than a sulfate, it’s a surfactant that strips the skin of all oils. To compensate for over-drying your skin, carnauba wax is added to “hydrate.“ The wax adds a film to the skin and leaves it looking dull and lifeless. I had to use a second cleanser to remove the film, and an exfoliant to actually remove dead skin. Would not recommend.

I love this cleanser!! I have combination/acne prone skin and my skin feels so smooth after I use it. No redness or irritation. Oh and it smells amazing. Haha get it zing? As in...nvm just put it in your cart lol

« Gently exfoliates »

I love the Gin-zing line in general, but this scrub is extra refreshing. It smells wonderful - I prefer to use it in the morning because the citrus smell is nice to wake up to. It’s not a harsh scrub and it foams. I have oily-combination skin which is quite sensitive and I have no issues with this at all.

This truly does everything it states to do! I’ve been using this in the mornings and I love it! I bought it because of the smell and I love anything that smells like this. It leaves your skin feeling clean and doesn’t dry it out/ isn’t too harsh when using it on the daily. I’ve been pairing this with the moisturizer and it definitely leaves your skin feeling clean and awake! I will buy it again and again.

« a nice cleanser not exfoliant »

I like this product and hoped it would be a true exfoliant but it isn’t really. It doesn’t have many beads in a small dime size amount. To use more than a dime size makes it too soapy. I like it, love the scent and my face does feel clean after each use but don’t buy this if all you are seeking is an exfoliant

« Not scrubby enough »

I have to exfoliate every two days or else skin builds up on my nose and makes it difficult to apply any sort of makeup (weird and gross, I know). I was hoping this would be a little more abrasive but this is definitely a more gentle exfoliant. I doubt this will help if you have any dry patches or dead skin that needs exfoliating. However, it is suitable for every day use and feels very refreshing so there’s the good part.

« Wake up call! »

I have just started using this product in the mornings and I am seriously impressed!I use it every other day (on alternate days I wake my face up using just water before I tone and moisturizer) to avoid product overload. But this is a fantastic cleanser to use in the shower or to give your face the wake up it needs!The orange scent is so dreamy and refreshing, exactly what you need to get you ready for the day. The scrub works really well to give your skin a fresher look and has made my overall complexion look brighter!

« Breakouts »

This product makes your face feel very clean and great! Until after the third day of using this my face broke out so badly. Huge pimples in places I never break out. I guess I have very sensitive skin to fragrance. Sad to see this returned.

I LOVE this stuff! It smells wonderful, it’s gentle, it has reduced my acne and it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. I love it so much! My ONLY problem is that it contains micro-beads, and some governments are starting to make these non biodegradable beads illegal due to the fact that they can’t be removed from water and end up going into lakes and oceans polluting them. I’d like to see them switch to something that dissolves or biodegrades so that I don’t feel like I’m ruining the lakes and oceans every time I wash my face.

This product smells and feels good for my sensitive skin, it’s not to rough. I must say I was told that this product will wash away my oils and I think it does. Nice and settle smell. A little really goes a long way. I think it’s worth every penny.

Second bottle has already been purchased. Im someone who works outdoors all year round so yes sometimes I do like to go bareface to work or wear makeup. Regardless. I have noticed that: 1. Works well on its own as a scrub. Day/night doesn’t matter you can feel the gunk getting off2. Doesn’t leave an oily residue or anything after once washed off. Face feels firmer, refreshed and brighter 3. Even after work 12-15 hrs outside, for me atleast, it also doubles as a makeup remover. You might have to wash your face twice to get everything off but it works well for me (even on drunk nights I use this:)) 4. Yes it’s a bit costly for skincare product however this is made with CLEAN ingredients which I LOVE so I’m willing to pay because a little goes a long way, it foams up when using it! ... I love love love the smell after studying all night the smell is always uplifting and refreshing. I’ve tried to find another scrub I love as much as this like the Olehensriken Walnut but for everyday use, this one is a lot more gentle on the skin. I have combo skin and my mom has dry skin, my significant other has oily skin and I’ve used it on all of them they all love it as well.

This is the worst exfoliator I have every tried. It is like miniature orbeez sliding down your face. Did not exfoliate at all, the beads feel so fake, and I am so disappointed. I have tried almost all of Sephoras exfoliators, still on the hunt for a good one. Not sure what to do. Perhaps, it’ll work for someone who has sensitive skin or barely get flakes.
