RESIST Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner

I purchased this because of the holy grail type claims of this product line. I first used it in the evening, and the consistency felt... cheap, as if it the formulation contained a lot of filler ingredients. The next morning, I woke up to 7 large (in width and in height) cystic pimples across my face and neck. I thought, ok, maybe this is “purging“? So I continued the use for the next day to wake up to more cystic acne. It was so bad that I thought maybe my vitamins or something I ate affected me? I went on Reddit to hear some horror stories about this list of ingredients and stopped using it last night. This morning everything had flattened out but I’m going to have to spend another six weeks of my old routine + using the LightStim therapy to remove the inflammation and discoloration.

« Caudalie Replacement »

Bought this to replace my tried and true Caudalie toner after they changed the formulation and added rose water. This seemed gentle enough and has reservatrol like most Caudalie products, plus added benefit of niacinamide. Works just as well, if not better, as the old toner. Great replacement for similar price point, highly recommend if you also hate rose water and heavy fragrance (why did they have to change the Caudalie toner??)

« Perfect Toner »

All of Paula’s toners are amazing and I use most of them for different times a year. This is my summer moisturizer. It’s great on my sensitive skin. When I had a newborn and had no time for a skincare routine I would just use this after washing my face and it made my skin feel balanced and healthy and left a nice finish. Love.

So far I like it. I cant tell a huge difference in my pores and I haven’t used it long enough to say long term but it’s soothing on my face & I like that it has reservatol. It’s a nice step between cleansing and the gylcolic acid I use to exfoliate. I’d purchase again!

This is the BEST product, a game changer for my skin. I have been dealing with redness for years, and have always had use a redness reducer powder, but since using this I haven’t had to. I took time to see the effects, but I’m never going back! Buy this product!!

« CAUSES BREAKOUTS »

I’m sure this toner might work for some people, but for me, it completely dried out my skin and caused the worst breakout I’ve had since doing a round of Accutane almost 10 years ago. I hardly ever write reviews but I seriously want to caution anyone who has had a history of cystic acne to stay far away from this product. I didn’t believe the reviews here and I wish I had because it’s taken me 3 weeks to get my skin back under control.

I really liked this toner but the bottle is wwwaaaayyyy to small and that turns me off from repurchasing !

I personally really like this toner. I use this in the AM after washing with a salicylic acid face wash. I really like that this toner has niacinamide in it, because it really works hand in hand with my SA cleanser

My favorite toner! I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t bother mine at all!

If you get put off by smells, this isn’t for you. As you put it on it smells like fish. It goes away quickly. It’s a good toner, but not my favorite.

I cannot be without toner. I think it’s such an essential step in my skincare routine. I love that this claims to refine pores. I have very large pores specially on my nose and I have noticed that they look smaller when I apply this toner. My skin looks less dull too after using it daily and my texture looks more refined. I like how my skin instantly absorbs this formula. It doesn’t irritate my skin and it feels very gentle. I also didn’t notice any scent. It removed any left over dirt on my face after I did cleanse. I absolutely love it, it’s perfect for my combination skin. I’ll definitely be purchasing it again!

« Hyaluronic Acid for the win! »

This worked perfect! I have very acne prone skin and started using prescription strength Tretinoin which dried out my skin like crazy. I used this and a good moisturizer (drunk elephant) to bring life back to my skin and it worked great!

Works very well with the perfectly balanced foaming cleanser, leaves my oily skin feeling hydrated but never too moisturized. I like how it takes off the last bit of spf at night. Has improved my skin tone and helped get that nice glow. My only gripe, and the reason I take off a star, is that the bottle is too small for the price. I go through one of these every six weeks — just not long enough for the price tag for Paula’s Choice. Usually her products are a better deal than this.

I have large pores and oily skin. Depending on the products I use, my skin gets dehydrated incredibly fast but becomes incredibly oily when trying to re hydrate. It’s hard to find in between products. I personally need a hydrating toner but also helps with my pores. This was not for me. It totally dried me out and made the following products pill every time. I kept trying to use it because I really want to like PC. Not bad, niacinamide just dries me out. If you have the same reaction, I suggest not using a nia toner.
