« Know your product acids! »

You really need to know what acids are in your products before use. I see a lot of comments about how this product dries your skin out. First, a TINY dab on the finger of acid based cleansers is good enough to cut deep in acne prone skin. You don’t need a full pump size to cleanse! The trick is use small circular motions over troubled areas and then rise with COLD water. Second, this product contains BOTH glycolic acid salicylic acid. Glycolic acid has the smallest molecule in the AHA family, meaning it can penetrate deep into even those tiny hard to reach pores. This acid is great at helping with fine lines, uneven textures, and elasticity of the skin. This acid also helps pull moisture to the surface of skin. However, it can be irritating for sensitive skin types. Salicylic acid goes is great for oil, it evens pore texture and size. It’s amazing for bad acne and black head build ups. It also has skin soothing attributes. Take both of these acids and you will find that this product is designed just as advertised, to tighten and tone uneven textures plus pores. Again, remember that this is a powerhouse. A little goes a long way and too much will strip your skin of it’s natural balance. If this combination is drying your skin out despite using small amounts and using it every other day versus everyday, consider the Irish Moor Mud Purifying Cleanser Gel from Peter Thomas Roth. That serum is produced with both lactic and glycolic acid. Lactic acid also pulls moisture to the skin but is on the gentler end. I switch off between these two serums. Always make sure you are wearing sunscreen while using any products with acids. A natural toner such as witch hazel can be useful at boosting a safe PH level after after cleansing.

« APPLICATION AND AFTERCARE IS VERY IMPORTANT »

This is a very solid product and it is CLINICAL STRENGHT so that means application is very important if you wanna get the most out of this product . (I use it in the shower with a generic clairasonic only at nighttime!) you’re working with glycolic acid here people! So if you use it in the morning you may notice some peeling! After I use it my face does feel tight and dry but that’s good cuz I use an oil at night time and it really soaks up the product ! I’m noticing a drastic change in the smoothness of my skin after 2 weeks! I only use it once a night!

« Great facial cleanser »

I have searched for the past 30 years for a facial cleanser I truly like. There have been some I liked for awhile, one I like to use a few times a week but that I’m just not willing to pay the price. I tried a sample of Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel and liked it so much I bought a full sized bottle. I think I’ve found IT. It is now such a normal part of my morning and evening facial care process that I take it for granted and I am delighted. I have ceased searching. It is not too drying, gives my face a “clean“ feeling, I don’t need an exfoliator for additional smoothness, this does it all. Thank you so much for letting us try products as a sample so we can discover the products that are right for us.

I use this once a week and it leaves my skin squeaky clean. I love the clarity I’m left with. I wear liquid foundation daily and I think it’s important to have a clean palette. Makeup is an accessory, not a necessity. Skin is a necessity, take care of it.

« Amazing for Adult acne »

This product has done wonders for my skin. I’m 29 I’ve never had acne issues until about a year ago, hello adult acne! Being a Sephora employee I have tried so many products and the ones I have discovered that REALLY work are Peter Thomas Roth max complexion pads and this anti aging wash. These products are must haves! If you have dry skin try using these products 1-2 times a week at first to let your skin adjust and so your face won’t become overly dry. My face has cleared up so much! <3

I started using this with my Clarisonic. I love the smell and how well it cleans. I felt a difference in my skin in just a few days and saw visible results within two weeks. I will not do without this product. It did dry my skin out in the first week but that must have just been my skin adjusting to it.

Been using Peter Thomas Roth face wash for years! This is the only one that has ever gotten rid of any acne of mine within only a day! I wash my face at night and wake up the next morning with clear skin. It also lasts a long time so it is worth every penny.

« Finally found something that keeps working »

i have spent so much money on products to get rid of my adult acne. The problem I have is, it starts to work and my face looks better but after about a week my face becomes very dry and starts peeling and the acne always comes back. I started using this with my skinsonic. My acne is very much under control. Im not perfect and i fall asleep without washing my face sometimes and i will wake up with a pimple but nothing like what it used to be like. I also no longer get breakouts when i get my period which is amazing. I have sensitive skin so it does get a little dry but there is no peeling or tight feeling. I started using argan oil afterward and my face has never been better.

« Very drying »

I love Peter Thomas Roth face masks, thought I would give this a try but this was not as pleasant. I do a once a day wash during the winter because my skin gets chapped if I start doing more than that, even with once a day this makes me dryer than a raisin. It’s unbelievable how this sucks moisture right out of your face. Skip it if you have sensitive skin.

« Will irritate and hurt your skin »

This stuff is horrid and so expensive. It’s full of fragrant ingredients and made my skin break out nearly immediately, in places it never had before, because it’s so sensitizing.

« Did nothing but dry my face »

Died out my face. I used it for over a year and it did nothing but suck out whatever moisture my skin had. It smells nice, but that’s about it. Would definitely not repurchase or recommend. Try primera or fresh instead

My favorite cleanser. I only use it 2-3 times a week because it dries my skin (and I’m typically oily) but I definitely can tell a difference. My skin is brighter and looks more energized. This will be a staple in my skin cleansing arsenal.

I use this wash every night. It feels so good - I like the sent, apricot... Most of all I really feel clean. I am 54, my skin is pretty good - I am very careful about how I wash my face and the creams I use. This product just felt like the best wash from the first time I tried it in a sample form. If you have aging/changing skin I suggest you try this product in the travel size before making a committment to the full size. It is also extra concentrated - I use a very little bit - in the long run it is cost effective because it lasts a looooonnnng time.

Excellent cleanser. I’m officially 30 and I have done everything in my power to keep my skin youthful. This stuff adds a radiance to my skin that I didn’t have before using it. Half the women on here are surprised their faces are dry after they wash their face— moisturizer goes on next, chill lol
