Témoignages les plus utiles
They had to ruin it with fragrance. Companies keep coming out with new products with fragrance in them. Don’t they know by know that fragrance is bad for skin.
I personally think the negative reviews aren’t using it correctly. I use this as part of a double cleansing process which I recommend. If you aren’t used to oil cleansing then you’re going to think this product is weird. Do research on how to oil cleanse first. I apply this to a dry face and massage it for 60 seconds at MINIMUM I actually recommend going longer because it’s more beneficial to do it for about 5 to 10 mins. Then rinse with water and follow with a regular cleanser. My face is so moisturized and my texture has become smoother. Its a great product! I don’t understand the bad reviews
This is a really really great cleanser if you use it correctly! I find that it does an amazing job of giving me an extremely deep cleanse without leaving me sensitive or irritated. I use the Slaai Makeup Melting Butter by Drunk Elephant as my makeup-removing 1st cleanse and then wait until my face is dry before applying the Ren Perfect Canvas cleanser. I use about a nickel-sized drop of product and spend 1-2 minutes massaging the jelly on my skin. It starts to “loosen up” after a bit of massaging and turn from jelly into an oil consistency. At that point I add some warm water and the consistency turns to a milk. I find it relaxing to go through the process and once the texture is milky, it washes off quite easily without leaving a film or residue. After I’ve finished rinsing I pat my face gently with a warm damp cloth and I always feel nice and refreshed!
« Will Not Repurchase »
I originally bought this because I was excited to try out a new “clean” cleansing balm that I could purchase at Sephora. I’ve tried quite a few (Pai, Elemis, Farmacy to name a few) and this one is definitely my least favorite and the least effective. I’ve tried changing the amount of product I use, but it’s just not worth the hassle for me. I don’t feel that the product does much to remove my makeup, but rather just kind of smears it around my face, especially mascara. Other cleansing balms/oils lift the makeup off. I would definitely recommend using this product in conjunction with a cloth (to remove) but, even then, it leaves a weird, thick, film on the face and just doesn’t feel clean. I found that this was especially true in the eye area. This product does not do well to remove mascara or tinted brow gels as the “jelly” consistency of the product traps the dark pigment of the makeup and creates a smudged mess that becomes even more difficult to remove. It isn’t the absolute worst — my skin has had no adverse reactions to it — but there are certainly better products out there that are both easier to use and more effective.
« stick to the instructions for use for best results »
I’ve used this for a couple of days now and can’t decide if I will keep or return it... it’s truly an oil cleanser to be used as directed- on a dry face, rinsed to emulsify (which it does slightly), and DEFINITELY needs a flannel/face cloth to remove it all the way. I gave 4 stars because it does do an excellent job at removing make up (I don’t wear a ton of make up- some foundation and eye make up is about it these days). I just personally don’t love the feeling of rubbing what feels like an ointment on my face to get it clean.. just a personal preference!
« Highly Approve REN Clean Skincare Jelly Oil Cl »
I love this product so much and it’s getting my very first review ever! I’m 50 with fair, dry skin. This is the first cleanser doesn’t dry my skin afterward!
« Great product - prefer it for double cleansing »
At first, I wasn’t sure if this product was working since I applied this directly to my dry skin and didn’t really see much happening - looked like all I was doing was rubbing an oily jelly onto my face. Then I went back to the instructions and realized I have to add water to emulsify. This is when I saw it work its magic. I could the colour of my tinted moisturizer mixing with the cleanser and I assume it was also taking off the SPF which I apply on top of my tinted moisturizer. I think this product did a good job at taking everything off of my face. The only drawback I experienced was that my face felt like it had some oily residue after I washed everything off with water. Since I was paranoid that this could cause me to breakout (has happened before with products leaving oily film on face), I ended up using another REN cleanser to take it off. After the double cleanse, my skin felt great! Squeaky clean and hydrated! Recommend if you’re into double cleansing
« Better than balms »
I like this a lot. It’s easier to use than any of the (four) cleansing balms I’ve tried, and equally moisturizing. No noteworthy fragrance, either.
« Just an oil »
I have no idea how anyone likes this. It should literally just be marketed as an oil. Sure it removes all makeup and sunblock, but so does plain old oil. I have to use a real cleanser afterwards to get rid of the greasy mess it leaves behind. How are people left with dry skin? Blows my mind.
« So Hydrating and Gentle! »
This is really good! First off, it comes out in a clear gel, then it does turn milky as it says. It’s so gentle yet powerful! It gets rid of grim and makeup on your face and it soon turn into a milky oil. It doesn’t tug or take a lot of rubbing either. Then when you go to wash it off, its easy to wash off, but leaves the skin feeling so silky! It has a very light, pleasant scent that’s a light, sweet, fruit. It doesn’t take much to clean your face either. I prefer this so much more than drunk elephant cleansing balm (which DE is impossible to wash off with water alone and required a different cleanser + Luna Foreo). This cleanser is just as good as Tatchas oil, and that’s saying a lot because that was my all time favorite cleanser. It also doesn’t cause acne (I have acne prone skin) so that made me so happy. I highly recommend this cleanser, I only have the trial size tube right now, but I cannot wait for my full-sized tube to arrive!
« Perfect double cleanser! »
I’ve been reading so many reviews saying this doesn’t work and honestly has me baffled. It works well on waterproof mascara, spf, and foundation — everything melts off beautifully. But to be clear, this is an oil cleanser!! You should follow up by emulsifying and then double cleansing with a with a water based cleanser (I feel cerave hydrating foaming cleanser works well as a follow up!). If you’re not emulsifying or using a water cleanser, then yes, I imagine this would not work well at all. I feel most of the reviews that this doesn’t work is more user error. I am just about finished with my first bottle and will be purchasing a second very soon!
« Jelly to Oil to Milk - ADD WATER TO EMULSIFY »
Love, Love, Love this Jelly to Oil to MILK Cleanser. Takes off the sunscreen, makeup, and pollution. BIGGEST thing to remember - you have to add H2O - WATER to see the Magic! If you treat like every other balm, put it on, get a wet cloth & remove you will probably dislike it. I do have to say, take the cap off to use instead of flipping the top. The opening in the cap isn’t sufficient and makes you work to get the product out of the tube.
« Makeup Remover »
This is the first step in a two-step cleansing process. I use it on dry skin to remove makeup. I gently rub for about 30-60 seconds, rinse off my face and then, before drying my face, I use my other face wash to cleanse off the residue. This is an effective and waste-reducing makeup remover. It even works on 12-hour glittery eyeshadow.
« Jelly to Oil to Milk! love it »
LOVE this jelly oil cleanser! This product was suggested to me by a sephora employee after returning Fresh Soy Cleanser because it made me burn and red. this cleanser is very soothing yet feels so fresh immediately after using. I love how it goes from jelly , to oil , to milk!
I have used this a handful of times and gave noticed a significant positive change in my skin texture. Also my skin looks way fresher.
