Clean Skin Gel Cleanser with Prebiotics

« Why change what was perfect?! »

This product is ok. Didn’t cause breakout or no strong perfume. But what I don’t understand is why Sephora has to change its most basic product- basic cleaner. The original cleaner worked better, cleansed better, smelled better. It was 99% natural ingredients. Now they also raised the price not 10% but more than 30% for a cleaner. It’s so annoying.

I have the original product with amino acids , but after doing a quick view of the ingredients I noticed there isn’t much difference to the formulation other than the removal of the scent . This was my staple face wash for at least three years but unfortunately it’s become clear that this is designed for one skin type . This face wash is what I’d recommend to anyone with oily combination or oily skin , as that was my skin type a few years ago while I was still going thru puberty . For anyone with drier combination skin , this will DESTROY your skin barrier ; I use summer fridays ’jet lag’ as my facial moisturizer because this wash now strips my skin of all moisture . It , alongside niacinamide , cleared up my acne beautifully and was a perfect face wash until my skin type changed .

OMG I am a dark skinned woman with oily skin. THIS HAS WORKED WONDERS! Make sure to follow up with a good moisturizer to help you seal in the moisture. This has made my skin so beautiful! Thank you sephora!!

« Not My Favourite »

This may be a different opinion compared to the many others who have bought this face wash, but I didn’t love it. I have repurchased it twice because it is a good simple face wash for sensitive skin, but after using other face washes I don’t like how this one washes my skin. It doesn’t lather much and doesn’t give me that “clean” feeling that i love after i’ve washed my face. It has a slimey texture, but honestly the product does what it needs to do and works well. I just have other face cleansers that I prefer more.

« Fragrance free?? Smells like bathroom cleaner. »

I haven’t been able to use this product regularly enough to see how it works for me, because the scent is so overwhelming and gross. It smells strongly like bathroom cleaner and totally turns me off of using it on my face. I may continue to use it every so often, I liked how my face felt after using it, but the smell means it definitely isn’t an everyday cleanser for me.

« Not For Sensitive Skin »

So I was really excited to try this cleanser because I have never used a gel cleanser before. At first, it was going pretty well. I mean nothing too crazy. However, after continuous use, my skin started to have a negative reaction to it and it broke my skin out along my left side of my face including my eyelid. It’s unfortunate because I really wanted to like it, but I had to stop using it for that reason. I posted a before and after picture to show what happened.

I found that this cleanser was very similar to Kiehl’s Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cleanser in that it does remove impurities such as dirt and oil from your skin very effectively, but it feels to me like my skin has been stripped of moisture after using it. If you like a very “squeaky clean“ feeling after using a cleanser, then I would recommend this one, but if you have skin that’s on the drier side, I would either find another cleanser or make sure that you tone and moisturize right after cleansing with this product. This cleanser has a little bit of fragrance in it (less than 1%, according to the ingredient list) but I really can’t smell any sort of discernible scent in it. I think that it shouldn’t be too irritating to anyone unless they are severely allergic to fragrance in skincare. One thing that I do really like about this product is that it’s half the price of the Kiehl’s cleanser, even though they’re about the same size. So if you’re trying to choose between those two options, then I would definitely go with this one, because they are so similar, but this one is such a better value. In the end, I would recommend this cleanser to people with oilier skin, or people wanting a “squeaky clean“ feeling after cleansing (perhaps after a workout or something like that, where impurities will have built up in the skin). I would just recommend toning and moisturizing almost right after applying this product.

I absolutely love this stuff! I have dry, sensitive skin and I have had trouble with many cleansers in the past. I have struggled with severe eczema ever since I was a baby, so skin care has been a struggle for me my entire life. Once I tried this cleanser, I can’t imagine myself switching to anything else. It’s hydrating, gentle on the skin, and great for anyone looking to save a penny or two! To all of my sensitive-skin girlies out there, I highly recommend this!!

I don’t know about the prebiotic part but this is a nice gel cleanser with no fragrance and doesn’t irritate my skin. You should consider the sephora collection before shelling out big bucks for over hyped cleansers.

You want your skin still hydrated after a good cleanse? This is the cleanser for you.To begin, the formula of this cleanser feels so cooling and gentle on the skin. A little goes a long way with this product, so no need to use a ton on your face.With someone with combination, I was worried about simultaneously drying out the dry patches on my skin, or making the more oily parts of my face even greasier.Spoiler alert: neither one happened!If anything, my skin feels softer and more hydrated after using it. I highly recommend applying some hyaluronic acid to your skin after using this cleanser to really seal in all of the hydration that’s left afterwards.Bonus points for getting my difficult mascara off fairly easily too!

I have 47 year old dry skin and wear a full face of makeup most days. I am very impressed that this cleanser is able to remove all of my makeup, including eye makeup and mascara, in a single cleanse without the need to double-cleanse. Little if any traces of makeup are left behind. It is not at all drying or stripping to my skin, as I’ve tested that by waiting 20 minutes after washing my face to see if my skin felt tight. It did not. It starts out as a gel and with water, lathers into a silky substantial cream. I love that it has no added fragrance ingredients. This is my new go-to cleanser.

Great product, great price. It’s going to replace my Fresh soy face cleanser, since the latter is expensive and the smells bothers me. This Sephora cleanser removes my makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped of all moisture. It has a light smell that must be inherent to the ingredients but isn’t fragranced. Very happy with this new staple product in my skincare routine.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this cleanser! I used it for a few days because that’s when I usually notice if it’ll break me out, or irritate my skin. But it didn’t! I actually really like it. I love the ingredients list because it’s clean and most cleansers I’m not even sure what I’m reading! Also I appreciate that Sephora products are going clean! It’s 98% from NATURAL ingredients! Sephora products are always a great more affordable price! I love finding hiding gems among Sephora products. I think I found a go to face wash!
