« Soft Lips! But Has Soapy Taste »
The price is nice, but the taste is not. I like how it feels on my lips, it smells very light and faint (not like strawberry but fruity for sure) and I definitely wake up with my lips feeling soft, but I HATE the taste of it. It’s like a soapy kind of taste, not strong at all but it’s there. Maybe some people may not notice it because it is light and may manage, but I personally can’t especially when I wake up in the morning. That’s why I gave it 3 stars, because while it does deliver and gives soft hydrated lips, I just don’t like that slight soap taste.
« Love the texture, not the candy fragrance »
The texture of this is so nice...it reminds me of a lip oil. Quite nourishing and moisturizing, goes on glossy but not sticky. However, the fragrance was difficult for me to get past. I usually enjoy strawberry scents, and was anticipating a fragrance like the Rosebud Perfume Co. strawberry lip balm. To me, this smells more like Smarties...very, very sharply sweet.
« Gloss, not so much a mask »
Not a mask- more of a basic gloss... I wanted something nice and thick that stays on at night, this is more glossy than masky
« Pretty good, would repurchase »
This is a pretty good product. If you don’t mind scented lip products, then you’ll enjoy this. The scent is undoubtedly noticeable (at least for the Strawberry one) but is not overwhelming or sickly and does not linger. The consistency is thinner than the average lip mask (i.e. Laneige) but, of course, thicker than an average tube lip balm. As for the performance, it felt moisturizing while it was on and then after it wore off, my lips felt very soft and supple. It lasts 2-3 hours assuming you are not eating, drinking, or licking your lips. Wearing it overnight, you’ll wake up with nicely conditioned lips but you probably won’t feel any product residue. Overall, for $5, you can’t go wrong trying this out.
« Healed my chronically peeling lips! »
I have never in my life left a review for anything, but this lip mask is so good that I needed to finally do it!I have had chronically peeling lips for years, not just in the winter but all year-round, and no amount of chapstick could change that. I bought this lip mask just so I could get free shipping on my Sephora birthday gift, and WOW I had no idea what a benefit it would be! As soon as I started using this, my lips stopped peeling!! I woke up for the first time in years with smooth, soft lips, and now I know I will be using it for life!
I love this lip mask so much! The consistency is somewhere between a regular gloss and Laneige’s sleep mask. I wear it during the day as a gloss bc it’s moisturizing and has a pretty sheen, but I also use it at night and my lips are still soft in the morning. It does have a stronger strawberry candy scent like some others were saying, but it doesn’t bother me at all.
« Poor Quality »
I’m not sure why some reviews describe this as a thick mask, it literally runs and drips out of my tube and that’s after shaking it for 60 seconds. Smell is too fake and the product only lasts on your lips for about 15 minutes. They either have very inconsistent batches or this is just overall not a good product. Also what is up with this not having an applicator like their other balms in the same tube..?
« perfect texture and price »
Im not a big fan of sephora collection in general but this lip mask got me !!!! Perfect texture and great price does not feel sticky. Highly recommend
The consistency is very thin/runny. The scent is faint. I wish it had an applicator tip. It does not last long on lips. Giving it 2 stars since the price was right.
« I'd give zero stars if I could. »
My lips are super dry and uncomfortable from having electric heating my apartment. I decided to go the “higher end“ route, getting this lip mask and even a lip balm from Sephora. Yeah, if I could go back in time, I would warn myself not waste the money. This “mask“ is useless. I tried it for a week, every night, making it part of my bedtime routine. It smells okay, but it’s super sticky like a lip gloss, no matter how little you put on. It kinda just sat on my lips most of the night, which was equally uncomfortable because I was worried about getting it on my pillow. Anyways, woke up in the morning, the mask is absorbed. My lips are still absolutely dry and uncomfortable. If I could, I would give this zero stars because it’s really useless. It did nothing for me. So, yeah, will NOT buy again.
« Affordable dupe for Laneige »
I have really dry and flaky lips and have been using the Laneige Lip Mask for 2 1/2 years. I was looking for alternative since the Laneige one tends to get pricy for a student, this is really good and moisturizing. Just make sure in the morning to rinse your lips with warm water and apply your lip balm. DONT SCRUB or it will dry your lips further, just wipe with your fingers with water or with a warm soft towel.
« fave! »
began using this because other lip masks could cost upwards of $20 and it seemed impractical to me - i love this one so much! the vanilla has to be my favorite scent but strawberry smells pretty nice too. i apply this nightly as a part of my skincare routine, and i wake up with moisturized and slightly plumped lips! i read other reviewers and notice that they tend to misinterpret the product. it’s an overnight mask, not to be used during the day. anyways, i highly recommend this not just as a dupe for laneige or ilia lip masks, but i actually prefer this over theirs!
« the best lip mask! »
The best lip mask. It’s a great hack for $$$ brands and smells faintly of vanilla without overpowering. It also coats without being sticky and feels so soft, and comfy on lips: really love this!!!!!
« Best Lip Mask »
Since getting fillers my lips have been so dry and rough. I’ve tried lip oils, laneige, and fresh. This lip mask has been the most moisturizing and smoothing! Doesn’t transfer absorbs well
« would recommend as a cheaper lip mask »
got this as a gift I use it a lot in the winter when my lips start peeling I wake up with moderately dry lips it does make me break out around the mouth its worth the price ask I’m not gonna spend over 10$ on a lip mask
