« Very annoyed »
This cleanser is fine. No fragrance. Fine. BUT i feel like it was mid-advertised to me. I ordered an Azelaic acid + AHA/BHA Cleanser. I don’t know if that’s what I received because they slapped a sticker on top of that description on the bottle that states it is just a 2% BHA CLEANSER. Likely salicylic acid. That’s fine but what did I receive? Did I get the Azelaic acid cleanser or strictly a salicylic acid cleanser? This is mis-advertising and I would not have purchased if I knew they were slapping stickers on products saying it’s something it is not. And the worst part is I HAVE NO IDEA. The acne spot treatment is exactly the same. I ordered both and they both have had stickers slapped on top like the product inside did not reflect the packaging description and should be that way on the website. I feel like I did not receive what I was led to believe I had ordered. I added photos

I was really excited to try this product as it is displayed and described in this photo. When I got the bottle there was a sticker on it with a complete different formula description. This product is marketed to people who have severe skin concerns such as “folliculitis” so it’s strange for this company to send a product that is clearly different from the description. I’m unsure what’s actually in the bottle and why the bottle is punctured at the top. WHAT IS THIS???

I was really excited to use this product. Got it and used it for the first time. It has PLASTIC MICROBEADS in it. That was not in the description AT ALL. You have to search through the ingredients list to even see that it uses plastic beads. I’m so disappointed.

I’ve used this cleanser religiously since I love any product with azelaic acid in it. My texture with my skin got way worse, and this product was the only thing I changed in my routine. Also, after looking through these reviews, it seems like almost everybody did not purchase this product, but instead received it for free. That could explain why the reviews are overwhelmingly positive but the product is pretty mediocre.

I purchased a tube in April and I absolutely loved it! It had a smooth silky texture and really helped clear my skin. Then purchased another tube in May and it’s filled with these little white beads that DO NOT dissolve - I absolutely HATE this cleanser now!!! The “new” formula just feels terrible and rough on my sensitive skin. Super disappointed in how a product can change in the course of a month.

I’ve used this product a little over a week now and when I first started I began to purge. I’ve been using it in combo with Paulas Choice retinol 1% and their barrier cream, AM and Night. Huge improvement

Trust me when I say I am sensitive to Salicylic acid! My skin looks amazing the first two days then I go through a horrible breakout period. I’ve heard so many good things about using a BHA in your skincare morning routine due to the natural exfoliation. I suffer from hormonal breakouts and some months are worse then others. Recently I had a reaction to testing out some skincare products around the same time of my hormone breakout. It was a disaster. The first time I used this face wash I loved it; …,but the second time I used it I noticed new breakouts and wanted to quit using this wash immediately. After reading a few articles on BHA and knowing the difference from skin purging and breakouts I decided to stay the course. So HAPPY I did!! My skin is clear and I absolutely LOVE, shall I say ADORE this face wash! I think the purging period for my skin ( 4 days) was less due to using retinal for a while. I don’t know if I’ve ever left a product review before but I could cry from the relief this cleanser has given me.My skin is historically dry with the occasional hormonal acne spot or two, but earlier this year I had a sudden onset of recurring intense acne concentrated around my jawline and chin and cheeks.I tried other BHA products, salicylic acid cleansers, retinol cream, oil cleanser (this made it worse), double cleansing, cleaning up my diet, not wearing makeup -- so many things that didn’t change anything. It was infuriating and hopeless.An angel at Sephora recommended this cleanser to me - it’s been about two weeks and my skin is almost completely clear for the first time in 6 months. Current routine: - Either Garner Micellar Water or Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm to remove my makeup- Swirl around a dab of this, let it sit for a minute, and rinse- Moisturize with the SkinFix Barrier+ Face CreamI haven’t experienced any over-drying, no peeling -- just a clear, clean, bump-free face that is actually healing.

The tube and its green paint disintegrated over a few weeks in the shower and the cap cracked entirely after falling in the shower once. Ive never seen a product this ridiculous.

I love this product so much. I had acne around my cheeks and jaw area ..and my skin is sensitive, this product made everything go away in about 1-2weeks. Will continue to use it.

Hate the the texture of this, idk maybe gooey? Did absolutely nothing for my skin. It’s also just 2% salicylic acid… you can get any other face wash with the same thing. Nothing special and I feel like I wasted my money.

I love this cleanser. I never really got acne until recently. With stress, hormones, and a dirty phone, my face has gone haywire. I use this as my night time cleanser and it’s amazing. It doesn’t dry my face out and it leaves it clean and smooth. It doesn’t take my makeup off which isn’t a big deal since I don’t wear it often. My acne has cleared up (most of it on my cheeks) and I’m overall happy.

I am obsessed with this cleanser. If you haven’t bought it, go buy it right now! It will do wonders for your face, and I know this because I have tried multiple different cleansers and this one is my favorite. I have dry/combination skin, and also very sensitive skin as well and this cleanser has been perfect. It also helped me with my uneven texture and dark spots. I recommend this product to everyone

I’m dealing with some stubborn acne lately. I opted to try this cleanser instead of a BHA product that worked in the past, La Roche’s Effaclar 2% gel cleanser. There’s no comparison between these products. This cleanser is not only significantly more expensive, but it doesn’t seem to be nearly as effective. It has no slip or lathering effect, requiring a large amount of product to be used to avoid excessive friction when rubbing it into skin. It definitely exfoliates, probably due in part to said friction. It had very little noticeable effect on active or developing acne. I switched back to my Effaclar cleanser and quickly noticed how much more effective it is, while using far less product with a less irritating process. I speculate that this poor performance could be due to packing too many active into a single cleanser, causing formulation changes that reduce the efficacy of the Salicylic acid, but I’m not an expert. I do know for sure that this was a waste of money.
