Great Cleanser! I find it a bit funny to read the negative reviews on a product because the buyer is usually giving an uneducated answer! This bottle is beautiful glass and is recyclable through Summer Friday’s recycling program (see their site). The pump works well and 3-4 pumps is more then enough product for cleansing. While cleansers can be great at removing make up, double cleansing is always where you’ll see the best results. If you wear a full on foundation and contoured face it would be in in your best interest to use an oil based cleansing product prior to allow this amazing cleanser to work it’s magic on your skin! This gel cleanser is light on foaming up meaning it won’t strip your skin of natural oils. The scent is light and pleasant, not at all over powering. I LOVE this cleanser! I’ve been using this for about a week and I’m obsessed! I know this cleanser doesn’t claim to be an “acne clearing” cleanser, but I’ve found this has dramatically changed my skin. I’ve been struggling with severe acne for about a month and I swore my previous cleanser (which was a high-end, oil control cleanser) was helping it, but the moment I switched to Summer Fridays my skin CLEARED!! I genuinely don’t see myself using any other cleanser anytime soon!!

« Amazing ph balancing cleanser!! »

Wonderful cleanser when used to DOUBLE Cleanse. I wanted to leave a review for all the people leaving negative reviews here. This is marketed as a gentle ph balancing cleanser loaded with amino acids. This is not suppose to take all your makeup off with 1 pump nor is it promising to do so. In order to fully remove SPF or makeup you should always double cleanse to ensure your skin is completely clean. I use the Farmacy green clean as my first cleanse and this as my second and I really love this cleanser. It doesn’t strip my skin and it’s ph balance is essential for getting my skin right so I can then go into layering my serums and have them work effectively. This cleanser does everything it says it does and is pretty incredible! Summer Fridays kills it once again.

« Don’t waste your time or money!! »

I agree with all the negative remarks from other reviews. This cleanser is a total fail and nowhere near worth the $38 price tag. It takes a good 7-10 pumps to get enough to actually cleanse the face and even then, it does not remove makeup! Extremely disappointed. I purchased on release day because it was so hyped up but wish I would have waited and read these reviews first because they hit it on the head. Waste of money!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars or less!

Removes all sunscreen and makeup in one go with no pre-cleanse (I love that!). Light, really enjoyable fragrance. I’m very happy that it is in a glass bottle. My skin feels very comfortable and hydrated right after washing. This hasn’t bothered my sensitive skin at all.

I really enjoy this cleanser. I struggled with acne for a while and then scarring ensued afterwards. This cleanser (along with the rest of my regime) really helped clear away the uneven skin tones and textures. Does not leave my skin feeling dry due to its light foaming action.

This left my skin feeling clean and did a good job removing makeup - however my dry skin felt very tight after cleansing and a bit itchy! Unfortunately returning :/

I’m an absolute fan of the brand and all of its products so I knew I had to try this cleanser. I added this to my new daytime and night time routine. I feel like it gets rid of my makeup well and makes my face feel super clean. The scent is light and is perfect for sensitive skin. Packaging is amazing too and looks great with all their other products!! Highly recommend.

A lot of people in the reviews don’t seem to know what a two step cleansing method is. There are a lot of complaints about it not taking off makeup effectively or not lathering enough. I truly believe this is not marketed as a makeup remover so don’t use it as one. If you want a makeup remover look for a balm or oil cleanser such as the farmacy one. Usually foaming cleansers can be very stripping of the skin, anytime you feel the skin tightening it means that the cleanser is too harsh. So overall a cleanser lathering does not determines its effectiveness in cleaning your skin. Sorry about the rant but there are so many people that are misinformed in the reviews. It’s a good product, definitely pricy. It worked well but I have other cleansers that do a similar job at half the price. Example is the la Roche posts toleriane line (blue packaging).

My skin definitely feels nice after I use this but there’s no lather or foam, which I understand is not a claim, but it takes a lot of product to make it work into the skin. It’s also just a meh cleanser for me. I’ll use it up but I won’t be repurchasing.

Glass bottle is beautiful color and feels heavy, luxurious. Plastic pump, however, is a pain in the neck to get to swivel correctly to allow the pump to pop up for product dispensing. I had to literally bite/tug it since trying both hands was useless without unscrewing the cap altogether. Product feels nice and light, pump releases very little. Felt 3-5 pumps actually made it enough for full face so that’s a lot and you’d go through this quickly. Does not remove makeup despite claims. 80% or more mascara and liner left behind and face felt like I needed a double cleanse for makeup so for $38, it should be made to either legitimately to both or say use an oil before or after to remove makeup & allow this to just be the regular staple cleanser. The ingredients are pretty solid but not high enough in concentration to be of benefit when mixed with water and/or rinsed off. If you apply to dry skin to cleanse/massage then add water to massage/larger/rinse I feel that works better. Pumping into hands then adding water to lather in hands to apply to skin is a no go. Try both ways and see which works for you. I have very dry skin so for me, this was drying than I’d have anticipated or ever wanted. I didn’t change anything in my regimen but add this in - after 4 days, I had dry flakes persistently on my nose. An oilier or combination skin might really love this for the light gel texture, larger and slight purifying factor. With my 18 years experience in cosmetics/skincare, this shouldn’t be marketed to all skins.

I bought this a little over a month ago. First it should be said I’m a breastfeeding mother. It can be really difficult to find effective (depending your expectation and desired results) skincare that is safe to use while breastfeeding. This product is free if any AHA, BHA’s and Retinoids which can harmful to your baby. So that’s the first thing to note. Secondly, my desired results: I wanted to achieve brighter skin and to help achieve smoother skin by clear up some of the textural irregularities that occurs on and around my nose so I’m that way it was effective. It last a long time and has a nice baby wipe smell. Within a week I noticed the skin around my nose was smoother and no longer felt dry and flaky. Additionally it minimized the appearance of my dark marks from my postpartum and adolescent acne. Unfortunately I forgot to post a before pic but hers a pic 1 month after using willPost another review later to show difference.

This cleanser smells so good it reminds me of lemon pound cake lol. It’s so light and gentle yet I feel my face completely clean after use. I have normal/combo skin and this feels great after using. Love that it also removes my eye makeup effectively. The packaging is also so beautiful, you actually want to keep it on your counter.

I LOVE this cleanser! It does a great job removing everything (even stubborn mascara AND lash glue). It lathers just enough to cleanse the skin without stripping it from too much essential oils. I love that it leaves my skin squeaky clean but super hydrated at the same time!!! My new favorite cleanser!

« Not Bad! »

I was really excited to try this new cleanser. I usually use the Fresh Soy Cleanser, but I was tired of it and hankering to try something different. This cleanser definitely evened out my skin tone on first use! But it can be a little drying, so beware if you have super dry skin. Despite the instructions, I made the mistake of using it near my eyes, too, and I can safely say it will make your eyes sting and water for hours if you get too close. So if you’re looking for a cleanser to help remove eye makeup, I would steer away from this one.
