« Anti-Freeze in a Cleanser??!?! »

One of the ingredients in this cleanser is “methyl alcohol” which is also known as “methanol.” Methanol is commonly used as anti-freeze and carburetor fluid. I have no idea why Sephora would give this product a Clean at Sephora seal or why tarte would think that methanol is a necessary additive to a facial cleanser. Putting an ingredient like this in a skincare product is terrifying to any consumer. Please reformulate!!

I have oily and extremely acne prone skin. I lost track of how many different brands and face washes I have tried. I eventually had to use Proactiv to get control of my acne, but it just extensively dried my skin out and made it oilier. Other face washes I have used either do not remove all of my make up or cause my face to feel dry and tight after using it. When I first used this face wash, I wasn’t sure it effectively cleaned because I didn’t feel squeaky clean which is unusual compared to others I have used. In the matter of days, my acne COMPLETELY disappeared! It easily removes all of my makeup as well, even waterproof. I follow with the Maracuja oil and my skin is better than ever! I would highly recommend for oily, sensitive, acne prone skin!

So I’ve been having the worst breakout of my life over the last few months after stopping birth control. I have tried everything to clear my skin and I mean everything in Sephora to treat acne. I also have super dry skin so any acne treatments usually make my face flakey and tight and miserable and all the more natural ones usually aren’t hydrating enough and don’t do anything to clear my skin. I had a sample of this and omg I used it twice and my skin is already almost clear... Like what??? This?? This was more effective on my skin than any of the skincare brands in Sephora?? I am so in shock that this was so effective for my hormonal acne and I don’t really understand how but I am so happy with this product!

I used to think that I had oily skin. It turned out to be that I was using a cleanser that was too harsh (the clinique one). I decided to try this on a whim and love it. It’s super mild and my face no longer feels like an oil slick. The pump distributes the perfect amount of product.

Throughout my life I’ve always had oily skin which caused my forehead (right above my brows) to break out A LOT. However, I received this cleansing gel in a mini size and gave it a go. BEST DECISION EVER. I use it every morning and night and it’s refreshing, doesn’t dry out my skin but rids the oil, smells dainty and delightful, it also makes my face a bit brighter. After using it for a couple of weeks, I saw my blackheads slowly disappear and my mom (who has never said this before) told me, “Hey! You’re face is really clearing up.“ That’s how you know this stuff works. Definitely worth the $25, I’m going to buy it when the sample runs out. Plus, you only need a small pea sized to work with so this stuff should last you 5ever.

Great cleanser. I keep this in the shower, it takes off my make up with out burning my eyes. I t also does not make my face feel dry and stripped afterwards.

I have never seen a cleanser that takes off makeup (waterproof gel liner, mascara, and everything!) with such ease and so quickly! It takes everything off without stripping your skin of moisture, and it doesn’t leave any trace of makeup behind. Usually, I would have to use makeup remover wipes for my eye makeup before I go in with my cleanser. With this, though, you can go straight in with no problems.

Omg OMG omg...... I am a vib rouge member and I’ve spent so much money into beauty products because my face hates EVERYTHING! I even talked to a beauty adviser at my local Sephora who has been in the industry for 21 years and he was flabbergasted by my issues. HOWEVER this stuff is THE BOMB! I have dry skin, acne prone skin with scarring and the moment I use this too take my makeup off my face screams of joy! It looks so beautiful, so young and bright I actually forget I have acne, I cry! The dryness disappears! This product makes me not want to wear makeup anymore! I love it so much! THANK YOU TARTE!!!!!!! Well done!!!!!!

i have combination skin, dry on my cheeks and oily in my t zone area and this face wash doesnt over dry or leave any residue on my skin- at night i recommend washing your face twice if you dont use a make up removing wipe prior (if you have acne prone skin i would not use a make up removing wipe first they dry out and irritate your skin)

I got a small size of this cleanser and loved it so much decided to buy the full size, I don’t know about it getting rid of waterproof makeup but I like how my face feels cleaner and softer that and I have very sensitive skin with little red rashy bumps and this stuff actually helped clear it up.

This is my new holy grail face wash. It’s mostly scentless which I love, and it’s gentle enough for days when my skin is being sensitive, but always removes every spot of makeup. My skin looks really bright and clear afterwards, and I never feel a sticky residue after using. My skin is really soft and bouncy feeling but not oily. So little of this product does the job for me, so the price point is really fantastic! On days I need a deeper clean I use this product with a soft exfoliating face sponge and I just glow afterwards. Seriously one of the best products Tarte has come out with. I would go so far as to compare this to the Fresh Soy face cleanser, but with a lighter scent.

It’s the only cleanser that won’t rip my skin and it also so gentle on the skin. I find that if I happen to stop using it my skin will have crazy breakouts. It’s suitable for my skin type. I have dry and sensitive skin. Because I’m a redhead

seriously the only thing that helps my skin. i have pretty normal / combo skin, and super super acne prone and i tried this last year and it completely cleared my skin up. super gentle, smells really good and leaves your skin super soft

« Great for my skin type »

I’m in my late 30s with skin that can be very dry. I don’t get acne. As such, I’ve always been a fan of cleansing oils. The Josie Maran one I was recently using was a bit heavy/sticky and I was looking for something lighter. This did the trick. It gives you the benefits of a cleansing oil in that it keeps your skin feeling soft and hydrated, but it is lighter and foams up better. It also smells quite nice. I don’t know if this is the perfect product for someone who has acne prone skin, or really wants that “sqeaky clean“ feeling after washing. However, it is the perfect product for me!
