« Good, but not the best. »

Pros: natural ingredients, nice texture, takes off makeup effectively. Cons: difficult to rinse off (though not as much of an issue if you double cleanse) and expensive. I found an ECOCERT certified oil-based cleanser that works better for less than half the price.

I’ve been using TATCHA’s cleansing oil and have loved the smell, the way it removes makeup, and how it rinses off nicely - without leaving residue or affecting my eyes. I was excited to try TATA HARPER after seeing It highlighted on Goop. I had the highest expectations, and am so sad to have this gorgeous green bottle sitting on my bathroom counter - that I dread using. The pump gets clogged and sticks, so you have to force it down (at the same time trying to not let it squirt everywhere.) The smell reminds me of bug spray, and it leaves a residue, so my skin feels filmy while I rinse. Forcing myself through the rest of the bottle with each frustrating pump.

« The Perfect Addition »

I have had trouble skin since having my second son 6 years ago. I’ve tried everything and finally stopped treating my skin like an acne prone condition and started just treating it like skin. This Nourishing Oil Cleanser is the perfect makeup remover at the end of the day and the gentlest cleanser in the morning. It leaves my skin so soft and moisturized, a second lotion is not necessary half the time. At night, I use the Oil Cleanser to remove my makeup and follow up with the Regenerating Cleanser to exfoliate and then finish with Sunday Riley’s Good Genes. Twice a week I use the Resurfacing Mask. I cannot remember my skin being so clear and healthy before this combination.

Bring back the old formula. Now olive oil is in the top 2 ingredients. The attached picture shows the original formula - they’ve changed the concentration of the ingredients so that now it’s just overpriced olive oil

« Nice cleanser? Yes. Makeup remover? No. »

Let me start off by saying when I don’t wear any makeup and cleanse my face with this oil cleanser, it is really nice and feels great. My skins looks fresh afterwards. However, to call this a makeup removing oil cleanser is just false. When I wear makeup and use only this cleanser to remove it, I have makeup left all over my eyes and face. For this reason, I had to give it 3 stars. I don’t wear makeup often, so I will continue to use it, but anytime I do wear makeup I will take a makeup removing wipe to my face first before I use this.

I’ve been using Nude Cleansing Oil for a pretty long time and while I love it, i am always ready to try something new. I’ve tried cleansing oils from several other brands, but this is the first time I’ve found one that may actually replace my old favorite from Nude.... Its great at removing all my makeup and smells good. The consistency is just right; not too thick and not too runny. My only complaint i think would be the pump: It dispenses waaay more than you need to actually remove your makeup, which is kind of wasteful considering the price of this stuff. A half pump usually does the trick. Between this and the Renewing Mask, I think my skin has been looking much fresher.

This is one of my favorite cleansers. I have sensitive, blemish prone skin and this never irritates it. It works really well at removing makeup. Since it is so expensive, I will use a cheaper makeup remover if I have a full face of makeup. I prefer using this if I feel like it will really get on my skin or to do a facial massage. It is a little on the expensive side, but it has lasted a really long time because a little goes a long way.

This used to be my favorite oil cleanser and I washed my face with it every morning. I hadn’t purchased a new bottle in a couple of years because I was trying some new things, so I treated myself at the last VIB sale. What a disappointment it was! They must have changed the formula because it didn’t have the beautiful light, herbal scent that I loved so much and it didn’t feel the same on my skin. The first two ingredients are sunflower oil and olive oil, and it felt very heavy. I remember it feeling much lighter and nourishing... now it feels like I’m applying cheap olive oil to my face. I took it back and will never buy it again. Very sad ending to what used to be a gorgeous product.

I have never in my life had a cleanser make such a difference in my skin. I have mature, dry skin and am very prone to dehydration. I usually have to layer a ton of skincare no matter what I cleanse with, and even then I’m left feeling dry in a few hours some days. After using this cleanser one time, my skin looked better overall. The crepiness from dehydration was almost totally gone, and my face felt smooth, and there was no tight/dry feeling whatsoever (which is something I’ve always had no matter what I used to cleanse). Within a week of daily use, I began to notice my fine lines looked softer and there was no more crepiness at all. I am a believer, I never imagined that finding the perfect cleanser would have such a monumental effect on my skincare and my overall complexion. I don’t have to layer tons of moisturizer anymore...just my nightly/morning face oil and serum! So, really, in the long run, even though it’s pricey I am saving money because I’ve been able to use much less moisturizer since I started cleansing with this Tata Harper oil! A HUGE win for me...I highly recommend!

« Gentle enough for kids »

I used this recently on my 2 daughters (ages 9 and 12) after dance dress-rehearsals and performances to remove waterproof eye-make up and cheek and lip stains. They did not complain of stinging in eyes (as with other waterproof make-up removers). Worked well with a couple of pumps, shower, and use of cotton pads to remove final residue. My only complaint is that darn pump - it is difficult to use and almost caused me to return the product. I am not sure if this is a design flaw or if it was just my luck, but the bottle must be placed on a stable surface before I am able to retrieve the oil from the pump!

Good product but way overpriced. There are a lot of other superior oil cleansers at Sephora for 1/2 the price of this.

« Nice cleanser, pump needs rethinking »

I like this oil cleanser overall, but the pump on the bottle is awful. It’s stiff and then when you press it harder to get it to work it suddenly shoots the oil out and wastes half of it. This product is expensive and comes in a beautiful glass bottle, why spoil it with a cheap and ineffective plastic pump? Even a dropper would work better and waste less. The actual cleanser works well. It takes off my makeup and leaves my skin smooth, soft and hydrated. I double cleanse in the evening when removing makeup so I follow this oil with either the purifying cleanser or the refreshing cleanser from this line. FYI the other cleansers also have the same pump but I think since they are a thicker consistency the pump is not as much of a problem.

« Great Product, Terrible Pump »

I really like this product and the results have been great. I can’t believe how nice my skin is. I was hesitant to use an oil cleanser but I am believer. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars, is the pump for the bottle. The pump doesn’t work. I will literally put all my weight on the pump and it won’t budge like it is either clogged or locked. When it does work it will shoot the product across the room. I will need to exchange my bottle as I think I may have gotten a bad one.

Love this cleanser it even take off the stila waterproof liner and also the Kat Von D liner. And love that the ingredient is natural .

« Does not remove foundation? »

I used it as a makeup remover, however, it would not be easy to rinse off. It created a filmy surface, which I then had to scrub off with a towel or another cleanser. When I used it just to wash my face, it was fantastic and made my skin soft. As a face make up remover, it was disappointing. Maybe I was using it incorrectly?
