Just got this as a part of the Rouge sale. The price is amazing, will update the review after using it for a few days and seeing the difference it makes on my acne. However I would like to point out that a lot of the reviews on this page are fake and are from profiles which were just created and have reviewed only this brand so be wary.

Got this cleanser to help with “maskne” and within 1 week it I saw dramatic results. So happy and relived. The only thing is ... if you’re using 2 times a day, make sure to use a heavy moisturizer overnight as it is slightly drying. So worth it though. Highly recommend.

I wanted to love this product. I have dry and sensitive skin and I struggle with acne (Not terribly just mainly near or around my period). I saw all the amazing reviews so decided to give it a try especially with such an amazing price point. Although it didn’t dry out my skin (which I was anticipating) It did give me some of the worst acne I have ever had.. As in cystic acne which i have never endured... Way worse than my moderate period acne. This cleanser caused me to break out in clusters of 5 or 10 cystic pimples in refined areas such as the sides of my cheeks and my forhead where i NEVER get acne.. at first I thought I was purging because I know that is common with salicylic acid but after using just this cleanser for nearly a month i unfortunately came to the realization that this is the problem. I stopped using this cleanser and my skin IMMEDIATELY began to stop breaking out, but unfortunately 2 weeks later I am still dealing with horrible and very noticeable acne scars all over my face. Regarding the consistency this cleanser did not act how i thought it would.. it is very thick and hard to lather and didn’t leave me with that streaky clean feeling. I truly did want to love this product and I am so glad for all the people that swear by this for their skin but unfortunately it did not work for me.. take this as a forewarning for people with a similar skin type and save yourself the trouble and pain of the horrible cystic acne and scars. Looks like i will have to stick to Paulas Choice Salicylic toner because I have seen amazing results after using that for a year. I have attached before and after photos.

I never write reviews but i want to help someone else that may be struggling with mild acne. They say salicylic acid can take up to weeks to show results and that can be true if your skin starts purging but Ladies... this cleanser works amazing!!! Washing ur face with the right cleanser is so important. Dont make the same mistake as me and use any good cleanser that doesnt target the source of your acne/blemishes. I thought it would go away on its own but these clogged pores have to be cleared out and im so glad i bought it. My go to for sudden acne/pimples

TL;DR: For a $10 cleanser this is absolutely amazing, would def recomend!!**little disclaimer: I just started actually caring about my skincare routine so all the products I have used before were of the same price range, just from the local pharmacy stores (Walgreens + CVS). All the cleansers before hand felt like they did enough. However, once I tried this I realized they did absolutely nothing for me. Those maintained my acne at the same level. The Salicylic Cleanser + an occasional routine of a niacinamide serum and moisturizer started clearing up my skin. I had maybe 1-2 pimple every week since I started using this which is about 2 months. As I said it was an occasional routine so I never really knew how effective it was until I vacationed in an area with a different climate. Due to the new climate I needed to be consistent. And wow all of a sudden the simple (and consistent) routine had me the clearest I had ever been. Unfortunately I forgot the cleanser and bought another salicylic cleanser from my local pharmacy.That is when I learned not all Salicylic cleansers are created equal! My face is now textured from little white heads that want to form. My skin tends to break out in pimples so for me the new white heads were alarming. With that being said... This is definitely a repurchase! I haven’t used luxury brands so I can’t speak on that but don’t waste your $10 on a cleanser that sort of works when you can get something that puts in that work! If you’re looking for a Salicylic Cleanser THIS IS THE ONE :)Thank you for coming to my Ted talk and I hope this helped you out.

After about a month of consistent use my hormonal/cystic acne basically disappeared!! 10/10 would recommend!!

I will preface this by saying this product review has been a long road traveled: in March, after wearing masks and experiencing acne for the first time since high school, I tried so many facial cleaners alongside an extensive serum and moisturizer regimen to no avail. This cleanser was affordable and simple, so I had nothing to lose. Now I realize I had everything to gain. I have EXTREMELY sensitive and acne prone skin. After an 8+ hour day at work beneath masks, this cleanser is gentle and both extremely effective in clearing acne. Using the right gentle toner and moisturizer, in addition to my vegan diet and weekly red light therapy, this cleanser is a MUST. Your wallet and overall complexion will thank you!!

« no more congested pores - I love it! »

I am 53yo. I have had congested pores for the last 30 years. I can do extractions one weekend, and the next weekend (or sooner) my pores are full again. I have tried many salicylic acid cleansers, serums and moisturisers over the years. On paper salicylic acid is exactly what my congested skin needs to resolve the issue. However every one I have ever used in the past has stripped my skin - no matter how little I use. This product does not dry out my skin. It does not make it red and flakey. I do not have to use damage-repair products on my face for a week afterward. I am being totally honest here: my pores have never been clearer using any other product. I’ve been using it for 7 days. I can hardly wait to see how my skin improves in the weeks and months to come. Oh, I use the Ordinary Squalane cleanser first, wipe it off, then follow with the Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser. I love it!

« Love this cleanser! »

Many people dont really know how to use this cleanser. You need to first wet your face then pour a quarter size amount in the palm of your hand, emulsify it first in your hands then run it gently on your face. Leave it for a couple of minutes then wash it off. You can use this cleanser in the AM and/PM as second cleanser. My skin looks clearer and feels softer.

So far so good! I haven’t had it very long maybe a little under two weeks but it’s already working!! My skin was in bad condition from what I thought was differin, but actually turned out to be CeraVe hydrating cleanser! I’ve stopped using both and it slowly but surely with the aid of this product my breakouts are disappearing!I would say it’s definitely drying so be careful about how you use it and make sure to use a moisturizer afterwards!Personal Pro-Tip: I’m using this in conjunction with the peace out acne serum! It’s a heavenly duo! But not for everyone, especially those with sensitive skin! Research before trying out any new product

I m never gonna influence by the beauty blogger again!! This product just broke me out badly. I saw the video and gave it s try. It was a disaster!! It left dry patches on my skin. Never gonna use that! I just hope my acne gets well!

« WTH IS GROWING ON MY FACE »

I really really wanted to like this product, also let me just say I NEVER review product... the first time I used cleanser, my skin felt so refreshed and clean. I continued to use it every other day, because I read that for people who used it daily it caused them to breakout. WELL same thing happened to me except these breakouts were super painful, not like any I’ve experienced before. One time, it was like 5 all at once on my face the morning after using the cleanser. Ive tested it by itself and made sure didn’t use any other face product or creams that night and it reoccurred. Super disappointed, never had that bad of skin before, just mild blackheads around nose and forehand area, now I have what looks like cyst growing on my face.

I bought this cleanser for my husband months ago, he has severe cystic acne....and believe me we have tried everything!!! From drugstores to high end acne cleansers. I kid you not after maybe about a few weeks we saw major results!!! He was less inflamed, acne started to go away slowly... he feels so confident now in his own skin I couldn’t be more happier!
