Mini Squalane Cleanser

« good for dermatitis, bad for dry compensating skin »

Cleansers aren’t a 1 size fits all, but I fell in love with this brand after trying their zinc serum & peeling masks (which, paired with my ’clean & clear gel cleanser,’ completely fixed my oil & texture problem!), so I was excited to give this a try too. However, I suppose this isn’t for people who, like me, are recommended to using “gel-like consistency“ for their dry skin [via their esthetician]. After immediate use of this product, my forehead still felt clogged and textured, and oil production was visible on my nose just seconds after. I woke up feeling especially congested, and chose to give this product a 2nd try - this time doubling the amount, and taking more time heating it up and massaging it in. *This was also on my ’ordinary AHA/BHA exfoliation mask morning’, so I was curious if that would make a positive difference. However, the results were the same, even with the mask that I swear by. I will be going back to my old drug store cleanser and just enjoying pairing it with the Ordinary serums and masks instead.**The BENEFIT however: was that on the small dermatitis patches I’d developed from wearing/reusing n95 masks 8 hours long every day, are now A LOT less flakier. I’m not sure if it’s thanks to this cleanser, or the +HA Ordinary moisturizer, but I will keep this regime only for the perioral area until it’s fully treated, and my drug store cleanser for the rest. Glad I got the minis!

« Like a combo mask/cleanser »

I was staying at my friend’s place last fall and saw her applying this, but leaving it on. I had to ask. She described how it worked and I was sold, so I bought the mini size for a trial run. Will definitely keep this for travel, as airplanes and switching climates always makes my combo skin go wacky. Remember to let it sit on your face for a little while before you wash or wipe it away. It’s also great for cleaning parts of the body that are getting flaky. If you have keratosis on your arms like me, try it there. You might be delighted at the results.

I love this because I have sensory issues and washing my face can be a lot. This is easy to use, light, and easy to clean off my face after. It also isn’t over stimulating so I am cleaning my face more regularly!

« Save your money. »

This product isn’t bad. It does the job it’s supposed to do fairly. I’ve used better, but it does a pretty decent job. The price seems great, but it really isn’t. I know this is the mini size, but I expect to get about 3 uses out of this container. I’d rather pay $10-$15 for a cleanser that will last me several months. This does a pretty good job, it didn’t melt all of my mascara off. For the size, it’s just not worth the money.

« The best face wash!! »

I was struggling to find a good face wash for my dry, irritated skin. I tried so many different brands. Eventually I decided to try this cleanser, and oh my gosh! The Ordinary Squalene cleanser has helped my skin so much My skin is noticeably softer and the acne has cleared up so much. For such an affordable price, this is truly an AMAZING product. « BEST FACEWASH EVER »

This face wash is my absolute favourite, it melts ALL makeup off so easily, and it doesn’t sting at all if a bit gets in your eyes. Love it so much

It didn’t di much for me, while the silky texture feels great, I can get over the slight smell it has and I didn’t feel it did much in terms of breaking down spf or excess sebum in my skin, I also felt that it left a weird layer on my skin. I tried it because it was affordable but definitely nit as effect as other pre cleans products.

Doesn’t have that nice “slug” feeling that I like from a first cleanse but it doesn’t cleanse enough to be a second cleanse. Very confused by the experience of this product. Not sure who the target audience for this cleanser would be.

« Great but does take some getting used to »

I’ve used this for a few years. I love this stuff. My hyper reactive skin deals with it so well. I don’t find I go through it fast like lots of people have suggested? This cleanser obviously won’t be for everyone but I do wonder reading these reviews how many people actually just didn’t read the instructions of give it a chance. it’s not a standard cleanser. You won’t get foam or that tightness of ’clean’ we often expect from cleaning agents that dry out the skin. It takes some getting used to (your skin will feel different for a few days). Especially in how it rinses. It doesn’t feel like it’s coming off at first. It is. Things to note: one, use it on dry skin. Not wet. Not damp. Dry. It really is important or else the oil isn’t doing anything. Two, if you’re wearing heavy makeup, you’ll likely need to do something first to remove it. That’s not what this is made for. Try a magic erasing cloth - it’s so much better for your skin. Three, you may also need a second cleansing step, be it mct oil first or toner after, especially as your skin adjusts or if you’ve been using a bunch of products that day on your skin. But I don’t find I need to most days anymore.

« Glowing and hydrated »

This cleanser is amazing! Leaves my skin feeling hydrated and glowing. I have horrible acne caused by congestion and this cleanser is a game changer! My skin has never felt so nice after washing. Not sure how effective it is in taking off heavy foundation as I wash my face first then cleanse with this on heavy makeup days.

This put life back into my skin. This was my first winter and I didn’t know how to deal with dry skin like i had and this product saved me! highly recommend. Super hydrating and didn’t cause any breakouts.

Amazing. I decided to give it a try because I know squalane is a game changer ingredient in skincare products and did not disappoint me.
